You might want to put in a warranty request. It shouldn't be like that. I have one and it's not loose at all. Still well centered after several months owning it with good action. Something defective going on.
I put a drop of blue loctite on the T10 screw and tightened it up while still maintaining drop shut action, and I let it sit for 24 hours to cure. It hasn't come loose again. I'm happy with this. I don't need to send my knife out to benchmade for service lmao.
I got the cold steel FM-1 in last week for around 170$ using my military discount from cold steel’s website and I’d say it does almost everything the narrows does for like half the price. It’s super thin as well
I got a new one cheap, like slightly less than what you paid. I wanted to determine for myself what was up with this blade. I still feel that it’s a ripoff and it certainly isn’t comfortable to use for any length of time. If it was twice as thick and maybe a half inch shorter, I’d probably love it. So I wish it was a Demko 20.5 or a Bugout. Ultimately, I just don’t get tis knife. The too Narrows…
Your wallet does what the name of the knife is “narrows” when you buy a Benchmade. I haven’t like benchmade since they discontinued the 810 Osborn “Contego” I miss my 810. Sell that benchmade and get something worth the money. Lots to chose from for 400 bucks. New subscriber here.
The price tag is insane for such little material, I can’t wrap my head around it. I’d rather have a bugout and I don’t even like benchmade. I’ve only ever had a griptillian and I was super disappointed when I took it out of the box. The only benchmade I would and will be getting in the near future is some sort of full size Osborne. I’ve got to handle and play with one and you can just feel the quality difference from other benchmade knives. The price hike is gonna be their demise one day if they don’t get it together. You seem to be quite the collector tho, it’d be hard not to just want it for that reason. Nice review man!
I agree with you. The price is insane. But I absolutely love this blade. I'm big on edc, and this thing carries so light in your pocket it's really nice. I paid $403 for the knife when I believe this is more like a $300 blade.
I had similar blade play with my mini Adamas after breaking it in for a couple of weeks. Love Benchmade but their quality has gone down in my opinion. I’m scared of getting a narrows for the same reasons you mentioned. Great video!

I paid $403 and really love the knife. It's definitely overpriced, but this knife isn't marketed for guys who have a kershaw budget. Spyderco has blades in G10 grip and vg10 blade steel for $200, and no one seems to complain about that lmao.

If I want a knife that flat with great blade steel and a waaaaaaaaaaaaaay stronger like, I would get a Cold Steel Code-4 instead.
