It's fine. Australia is second in the world when it comes to loss of biodiversity anyway. So with human behaviour and climate change most animals will go extinct soon so you won't have to worry about it.
Not even sure how I came across this video, but glad I did. I don't understand the hate A. Hentzi gets. Had one show up in my kitchen one morning, and it's been the best T ever.

Spider under the rock. "Yawn.. is it summer yet?..O.o a giant..ahhhh!" It's so amazing what kind of animals, you have in your countryside.. Lovely tour thank you guys. Also thanks to the shoe-grabber
That was really cool! I live just across the river in Edwardsville. I used to find all kinds of scorpions, spiders, lizards and frogs in the woods behind my house. Most of that wooded area is unfortunately gone now. I really appreciate the disclaimer at the beginning and that you made a family outing out of the experience. Another great video by my favorite UA-camr. Every blessing!
very cool! thank you! I was focusing on what we were doing and having fun more than filming it .. but now that I know where to look I can return and more carefully film/photograph another time!
I love that you get so excited about everything!! I live a couple miles from where I believe you are. I would never say where it is. I never knew we have scorpions in Missouri. Thanks so much for filming this!
I really loved the video. Thank you so much. Because of a health issue, I can't really get out anymore so being able to come with you on an adventure into nature is excellent. :)
This was awesome! I love that you're instilling a such sense of wonder in your little one. I have a daughter younger than yours and I can't wait to take nature walks with her.

Walking around in the forest near my house is by far my favorite thing to do just to see all the wildlife and take pictures for inspiration later on for paintings😄
I live next to a creek & have a blast going through it in the summer. There's snakes, frogs, crawfish, actual fish skinks all in a creek between my neighborhood & these apartments. It's insane the amount of wildlife found in a 4 foot wide 1-2 foot deep stream with no trees & sometimes completely dry when it doesn't rain it's rained a lot this past month or two so I know that creek is full of critters right now
Brilliant video! Thanks so much for taking us along with you!! And thanks to Peter for being such a great guide! I love the look the lizard is giving at 11:33- it's like, "excuuuse you"!

I'm English and found it fascinating to see the exotic wildlife you have on your doorstep. I wouldn't want to find any of those spiders (or the scorpion) in my house though! Kat and Peter's respect for the critters was a joy to see. I wish there were more people in the world like you, who appreciate and respect other creatures' rights. Fantastic video, really enjoyed it - thanks for sharing! XXX
I know, right? They're right up there with the grasshoppers I see in the summer (I live too far north to see wild skinks, but I've seen some lizards the times I've travelled further south).
Hahaha! I found one that refused to move. It was on the cycling path soaking up the heat. I had to protect it from cyclist. I nudged it with everything and it would not move.
We don't have snakes, tarantulas or scorpions here in New Zealand but I'm fascinated by them. Loved those little snakes they were so cute.. Love your channel!!
We actually do have scorpions! But they're tailess, tiny and completely harmless :) they're called pseudo scorpions and they have little pincers, I found a couple in my bathroom
@@geelllee That's interesting to know. Are you north or south? I've lived all my 40ish years in Southland but have recently moved to the North Island and are seeing all new little critters I have never seen down there.... I'm in love with the praying mantis and jumping spiders..
@Tarantula Kat if every keeper was as responsible and respectful as you, it'd be great! I live in the UK and the wildlife here is pretty cool, but nowhere near as diverse as what can be found in the US. You're so lucky to live somewhere that you can go out and find tarantulas, black widows, lizards, snakes, scorpions etc 🕷️❤️🕷️❤️
It’s so amazing the possibility to go into the near wild and find such beautiful animals! Here in the northern Italy it’s impossible. At least some little spiders who nobody cares! So... THANK YOU for sharing!!!! 💘💘💘
Super cool vid! Not suprising but kudos for the respect shown observing and and making sure to return everything as it was to try and leave as minimal footprint as possible.Would love to see more!
This video reminded me of a much older UA-cam channel with very few subscribers called Bob The Spider Hunter. He also had some really great advice a while back about raising jumping spider slings and how to move them safely without hurting them.
Your presentations really make learning about all these critters really a fun thi9ng!Illk bet you would be a great teacher of biology and insects and reptile science!
I'm with you on this one, but I talked about it with the one that used to be closest with me, and she reminded me that nothing is truly stopping me from what I enjoy, and that includes even myself. If you were a crayfish person...MO has more species of crayfish than any other state I believe, with some only existing in one body of water. More than half are threatened or endangered.
oh wow good to know! & yes it's actually quite funny, because one time I walked into a pet store as fish and wildlife were removing all their crawfish for sale lol. Apparently we can't keep them as pets here because of some environmental risks.
