@@albatirechegarcia76 Hastings is probably one of the most british names ever hehe. (US nationality or not) it`s a place in Sussex after all. Battle of Hastings et cetera..
I need to get another one of these!!! My female was always out once she hit 7 inches. Now that there are bigger, nicer, display enclosures I really want to get another. They grow so fast! Not T albo speed but close. I lost mine due to it prying the lid open on a critter keeper. I thought I had it shut all the way.... Lesson learned. If I get another one it will be in Tarantula Crib enclosures once it hits the 3 inch mark.
I've raised 2 from slings and they are fast growers, shy but high strung. And both of mine stayed in their borrows 95% of the time. Even as adults. They are beautiful though when you actually get to see them.
love your energy in this vid Kat, and that is some crazy spooder you just housed...very distinctive way of moving, those jangly legs, gorgeous coloration & markings. Sweet!
"Cartwheel of death"; I will _always_ laugh at the name. Who saw the defensive leg-kick move you spoke of and thought to call it that? It's so funny to me! 🤣😆
You made Ashley super happy. She was super glad you like it. Pretty sure she happy cried. ^-^ I knew her in high school and saw her post about it on Facebook.
I thought of you the other day Kat. Went out to my sunroom to water my plants and saw some movement and looked up. There was a healthy sized jumping spider mostly black with really bright yellow markings an fangs near the ceiling. I took some pictures but have no idea how to show you. But instantly thought of you. I left it alone but simply request it didnt jump on my head! Thankfully it didnt lol.
I havent go a massive collection like most but i really love this community we can share info and advice and help each other which makes the tarantula community so great were all different and unique which is why i really love the tarantula community
Love Robustums. I have a small juvie. They are beautiful. They definitely have weird movements. I haven’t ever seen the “cartwheel of death” that they do when are upset. I’m sorry that your other one passed away. 💜
Ik right it's horrible but at least it was discovered and they can have some sort of closure. It's disgusting how things were in the past. I'm just hoping tomorrow will be better for us all. May Odin watch out for their souls.
Your channel is helping slowly overcome my fear of spiders and I'm becoming more fascinated by them. So thanks. Plus I live across the river from you in Belleville IL. So greetings fellow Midwesterner. Cheers!
Don’t comment often but had to pop in to say your energy in this vid is amazing. All your vids are awesome and I love what you bring to the hobby but you seem super hype here and it’s very nice to see. Happy you’re doing good : )
I just got my first tarantulas yesterday!! I'm literally so excited to get more already! 😅 Anyways I got a pumpkin patch and Mexican red knee sling and I'm obsessed.🧡🖤 There so much smaller then my jumping spiders.
Hi Kat! Im severely arachnophobic but I like watching and learning about tarantulas and jumping spiders . Any other spiders forget it Lmao! But anyway I also watch "Daves little beasties" here on you tube and he breeds his spiders on a regular basis and sells them as soon as they become slings. He's got a pretty good variety. Just another source for when or if u decide u want another spider.
My 1st T was a M. robustum... I've had Sofia for almost 3 years ... and she is a pet dirt mount LoL ... she is always in her burrow ... I had to turn her enclosure around so I could see her LoL ...
Hey Kat, love your video, Idk if you’ve seen Tom Moran’s vids on P. muticus, but he experienced something similar to your previous M. robustum where they would dig all the way down and then not come up to eat and slowly wither away. He theorized that maybe since they burrowed so much that they kind of just relied on any insects that happened to be underground instead of coming up to hunt like most T’s. Not sure if the same applies but worth checking out! ❤️
such a cute enclosure! I really hope yours doesn't dig it up! But mine completely rearranges their enclosure every time I even slightly bump a piece of dirt out of place. My girl, Lav, had a floating island of dirt above her with almost no supports for the longest time, it was very impressive.
Yay! Sooooo happy when I receive the notification of your videos! You are my fav youtuber and this new T is awesome! Thanks Kat for being so cute and super cool at the same time 💘💘💘
Awesome video, loved the whole thing. I was going to troll you and say Clickbait titles "I overwatered my plant like I overwatered my Megaphobema robustum" but that would be mean, I'm glad I didn't do that. I'm glad people read my comments. I can contribute to the channel and feel included.
oh my god i love this i just got in contact with amy while going to a local reptile shop looking for dubia roaches colonies! i just texted her because of this lol forgot i had her number and could ask about keeping tarantulas and such because we are both in wisco!!
My Megaphobema robustum has grown from a half inch to about 4 inches and is finally always sitting at the entrance to her burrow, she of course darts for the burrow if I touch the enclosure but at least I can now see if shes okay
Hi kat I always enjoy your unboxing videos of all your amazing new tarantulas that you get hopefully one day I'm going to get a pet tarantula because I want one but my mom won't let me because she doesn't like them 💪💯👍💯💯💪💯👍👍💯💯 thank you for making my day better

Hi Jacob! Amy from Fanghub here! We roll the toweling around something appropriate sized, shove it in the vial then use a funnel to get the slings in. If you’re really curious hit me up on fb and I can send you a video! Amy Salinas Fanghub Tarantulas!
Don't know if you'll see this comment, but I watch your content all the time. I just saw a spider that is very colorful, but I think it's a true spider. It's out of Australia and called a mallee mouse spider. Tell me what ya think. But hear it's aggressive 😳
Hey I have been watching Dave’s little beasties his channel is so educational and he does something so cool with his water dishes wondering u may think it’s a cool idea !!! I live your channel thanks for your content

Yes! I find kids raised with pets and exposure to nature are very good kids. Down to earth and compassionate. Makes a world of a difference
@@hdmm9136 fully agree!! kids being able to appreciate and care for the world around them makes them such better kids imo
The name for the jumping spider should be Saltar ! (That is Spanish for jumping) but it also sounds really cool
Hi! Are you Spanish? Because i am and i want to share my love for tarantulas in spanish

What a wheather. Nice you got a robustum again. Good luck with it. I like the isopod you were sent, guess your daughter is going to love it.

M. robustums are among my favorite tarantulas. They're such cool weirdo spiders 💕
Thanks Kat.
Somebody has probably already mentioned this but spiders do not get dizzy because they don’t have liquid for balancing in their ears like people do
I need that tarantula anatomy poster 😍

Love unboxing
That was so awesome
Tarantulas wouldn't get dizzy because they don't have that liquid in their ear drums that we have
Rehousing and getting the spider out from the packaging is one thing, but how do the sellers get a spider this big properly inside a tube + tissue.
In Norwegian we call isopods 'wrinkly trolls', lol.
How do they get the spiders in the roll of paper towels and all packed up like that?
Where do I find that big spider plushie 😍
I've been trying to get a tarantula crib for a friend who just got a Brazilian Black, but they are always out of stock
they are restocking very soon

why
do tarantulas get dizzy, by the way it looks after unrolling Id say yes.
I have no idea what to call the clay spider you were sent...
Growing up in California we call Isopods "pill bugs".
My heart is hurting for your plants lol
don't worry, I filmed this last wk and they all lived lol

my friend crochet it
