- Harry Shukman, a reporter who went undercover to produce a documentary on the UK's far-right, tells James O'Brien 'the race science ideas that were so popular in Nazi Germany have never gone away'.
A documentary that exposes a network of far-right activists in Britain promoting "race science" and its connection to a wealthy American eugenics funder was pulled from the London Film Festival (LFF) at the last minute due to safety concerns.
The festival's organisers made the “heartbreaking decision” to cancel the screening of the acclaimed film Undercover: Exposing the Far Right, which was scheduled for this weekend, citing concerns for the safety of audiences, staff, and security at the event.
Havana Marking, the film’s director-whose work recently made headlines for revealing the financier behind controversial race science research and exposing the racist views of former London mayoral candidate Nick Scanlon-criticised the decision, calling it “a very unfortunate outcome.

Let's not deny that capitalism politics and religion play their part. Our behaviour has changed, sometimes for the better, but mostly for the worst (denial of science, proper science, hate, and competition ), because these institutions have made us, and made us more, competitive and hateful.
We need a new system that includes decent education, and much more cooperation (where we can learn to love each other), where we work for a better world, a world where love a cooperation, within communities, but also around the world can thrive, throttling hateful and criminal activity......although we may get to climate extinction before that time!
Imagine all those that might be unhappy when the population is happy, fed and educated: a population that can't be manipulated into believing in saviors or obscure enemies, enslaved and that could have enough free time to put their nose where they shouldn't, like politics

Even the invention of the GCSE has it's problems, and Gove removing a whole section of History from the syllabus "The Industrial Revolution and the Rise of the Unions" was even worse. The notion of a Left alternative and people being able to fight back en masse as just the germ of an idea was removed at that point. And The Right have exploited that by blaming immigrants, asylum seekers, Socialists, liberals, Academics, "Experts", etc as being the root cause of why they're poor with little hope of a better life is a powerful one if you know no different. What does he mean "for a young man to do?" The british media has developed this weird obsession with numerical age as if it affected personality. Ageism doesnt just affect a certain group it goes right across society in terms of false perception, false expectations and prejudice.
True, it is a generalisation, but it is the historic case that young people are typically indoctrinated into an ideology to expand and further the ‘base’ both numerically and philosophically. But then again the opposite can be true - it isn’t a universal rule, and does depend on specific ages, maturity and education levels, etc.
