    The ketogenic diet is not a fad diet sir, it been around since the turn of the century and was used to treat epilepsy in children. It's side effect was an adjustment in the energy supply, i.e., ketone vs. glucose. It is popular, but it is not for everyone.

      Yes it is. Every body needs a different time to adapt. Eat what the season would bring you 100y ago. Whole food. Some fruits few months a year. No processed crap. No refined sugar.

    I toggle between keto and low carb. I'm a Type 2 diabetic. I can't carb-up like some can. Diets are so individually based, there is no "one size fits all" diet. If you stay away from the junk food and highly process food is good advice for everyone.
