Excellent video! I watched this several times as I built my Kraton 8s 1/5 EXB yesterday; eventually using your video instead of the manual! Although I used the same servo as you I couldn't get that plastic piece to line up with the line slightly to the right of 12 o'clock. It ended up too far to the right. Wasn't too thrilled with how the toe-in was setup from the factory; wheels pointing in different directions.
Thanks dude...glad you found it useful...you do have to make sure the saver is aligned correctly. The plastic piece should be around 5-10mins past 12....yeah my toe is out aswell. Tbh I've not altered it as I only use the rig for bashing.....this is an awesome truck and you will have lots of fun!!!
Awesome video ! Personally i am very concerned about motor cooling since it is very hot in the place I live ( Côte d'Ivoire ) . According to your experience, what is the best pinion suitable for the combo Hobbywing Ezrun Max 5 + 56113 SL motor 800 kv ? I would be glad if you could share a link to order the pinion. Thanks in advance.
Thx pal. I dont run with a max 5 in mine but if your going down that route then 39spur and 34t pinion would be where I would be. I currently have the stock esc and 1250kv motor on mine. Im running 25t pinion and 47t spur. Ive not had any temp issues so far....
Hi buddy... I've only ever used the stock servo with a 15t.... if you jave no other choice then force the 15t on. Note there is a lock and key system... make sure the horn is aligned properly before forcing it on.
Hi pal. The 15t is for the smaller 1/6 steering servos. The 17t is for the bigger 1/5 servos. If your using the smaller steering servo tray then you will most likely need the 15t one.
@@freshej6 thats good...it should give you good steering....if its a 1/5 servo then check how many teeth it has on the spline. Hi Cris. I'm using 25/47 gearing and get decent backflips with good air time. I haven't got a double yet. I've got the same setup and gearing in my outcast 8s and have got double backflips with ease. I've got lots of bashing vids with both rigs on the channel...check them out if you get 5 mins.

@@inspiredrc I can't seem to get it. So I wasn't sure. I was hoping to see how it went. Taking it off to assemble the servo saver. I forgot how it came off. But now screw does go in enough to catch the nut. So I wasn't sure if I'm doing something wrong
@@tropicthunderbolt hi buddy. The screw is an m2 x 20mm button head screw. You will need a 2mm hex driver and have to line to nut up exactly to be able to tighten the screw....So its 2mm wide, 20mm long with a button head. Hope this helps...

Hats off to you for buying this car in the exb version as a newb. Took me a while to get the point where I would get something like this.

@@inspiredrc great 👍🏻
I have the 1/5 servo but the 17 is too big and the 15 is too tight. Any ideas, should I just try and force the 15 on since the 17 is too loose?

Hi, nice work👍 me I ask, pinion gear is in box? Regards
Hi. Thx. It didn't come with any pinion gear. I had the buy one. At the moment I've got a 25t in mine....
Does the spektrum motor combo come with motor heatsink and fan?
Hi. If you buy the motor brand new then no. You will have to get the heatsink and fan separate.

Quick question how did you decide on what part to use (round circle part ) 15T or 17T ?

@13:20. U don't show what that screw screws too. Lol. The whole Video u show what goes to what. But that very important detail. I don't get it
Sorry pal. I must have missed it. Is it the steering linkage screw? If so it's a nut and bolt. I can remove and measure from my own rc.
