Especially if his character was a rambling old down-on-his-luck sociopathic raging murderous has-been forgotten by the world, but with a relatable transparency of insecurity, and consistent feral tenacity that makes him somehow likable, able to root for, even enjoyable against all odds. Or maybe a politician. someone better write that script quick, he's 87.

Morgan is not a good interviewer. He rushes Blake through his answers and quickly moves on to the next. He often interrupts. He also has a pre-set judgment and bases his questions and tone on that. Not good. Let Blake tell the story. Reserve judgment for the viewer. Robert Blake was a guest on the Tom Snyder show numerous times, and those interviews were extremely well done and insightful. Tom gave Robert the chance to answer questions fully, and there was a sense of mutual respect and admiration that brought forth engaging conversation between the two. I highly recommend those interviews if you can find them here on UA-cam.

These folks are so interesting they all lived through a very interesting time of the American era. My father who's also born in 1933 has a photo of poncho villa on horse back riding with my grandfather. The stories he talks about are informative and interesting. Just like you won't own anything and yet you will be happy.😂 Sounds like Nero whom flamed his own city in order to make a bigger palace for himself he needed the room, or Hitler the other regime that started out saying elite are the problem and yet he kills millions of all races. Let's move through history try to read some! 🥴 Just like all the countries whom have taken the guns from the people and immediately after millions get killed. Come on people get your adult pants on and stop being part of the problem. They are using a sun su the art of war technique. Divide and conquer on the American people. The movie industry destroys your rep or career just to discredit them from outing them of all their illegal actions. Knowledge is the key! God bless you all.

    I understand Blake 100%.
He grew up in a completely different era.
    Rough yes, crazy no.
Ppl have trouble understanding when you grow up without any affection and love with crazy ppl and how that affects ones sense of self. He is as sane as anyone, he speaks as honest as he can…even if it harsh, he is definitely blunt and he just doesn’t like fake ppl and bs.
He certainly doesn’t like ppl putting words in his mouth or trying to soften the truth. I don’t think he killed his ex, I think he was set up by someone who knew a lot about his life at that time. Blake would never be so stupid as to use a gun that in any way could be linked to him or throw it into the dumpster he parked directly in front of…come on…nobody is that stupid. Someone else was involved someone who knew too much and how to get everything to point to Blake.

I came into this world very much like Robert - I was lied to about who I was and who was my real father - I was told about my deep family secret on the truth at age 32 by an aunt of mine who was sworn to secrecy by my mother (her sister) who at 17 was raped by her husband's brother (who I was always told was my uncle) and HE threatened to kill anyone who would go to the cops. My mother had lived in fear ever since and could never show me love as a result of the guilt and fear she lived with - I was hated by everyone since the day I was born and lived a lonely life to this day, much like Robert, ever since. So, despite Robert's shortcomings? I understand and may he R.I.P.

@@TheMediaDirectory - Thank you for your sentiment. Just wanted to also say; back when I watched his trial, intently, it was 'my' observation he could very well have been responsible for his wife's death/murder, which I never condoned and saw him in a different light, as a result.
This interview simply helped me understand the anger he must have been dealing with, all the more, and the emotional pain he would have had to endure throughout his life.
There are countless others in society, who are born into this world under very similar, destructive circumstances and for those who survive the abuse that follows are forever dealing with emotional pain with no sense of identity with their sanity in check, always - Some lose it, others, but by the grace of God, find peace within, even if, a lonely existence!

I hope he didn't. Robert was always a unique person. I don't think hes nuts. I think hes very street smart and hes been dealt a lot of bad deals in life. Maybe some of it is just a defense mechanism. I do think he has a very deep soul and a lot of regrets and sadness inside but he keeps going and is grateful for what he has. I thought it was rude of Piers to ask him if he was sane. Here Robert is opening his heart and thoughts only to be insulted. Aweful. Robert has accomplished a lot in his life and should be proud of the good things he added to the world. I hope in his last days he can come to peace with his disappointments, keep God in his heart and go out with a smile.

Bonnie Blakley (Robert Blake's murdered wife) from 1971 to 2000 had been married TEN times with Blake being the tenth. There must've been many who wanted to see this woman dead. She even married a first cousin. Many marriages lasted a mere year or shorter. She also had a long arrest record.
She was linked to Marlon Brando's son Christian (who was involved in another murder case).
Robert Blake was always a bit wild & crazy but I don't think he murdered this woman. I'm just not convinced. Not under the conditions she was killed. This was a disgruntled customer (she ran many scams) or a person from her past. In some spots, I disagree with Blake's rudeness, but in many spots, I think his anger was justified. It just didn't help him in this broadcast.

While he almost certainly killed the woman, she was without doubt a gold-digging con artist. Let's face facts: sometimes scumbags deserve a bullet. That doesn't make it legal or even morally right. "Are you crazy?" ask Piers. "Are you sane?" "Have you been mentally damaged by your experiences?" Blake says "No" but makes it clear he is a very damaged goof ball.

Okay they shot me in my giant blisters that can only be sustained by a hogtied person in four point restraints being tortured with third degree burns in Mesa Police custody at their bowling ball size ripeness and more importance than mine own child's eyeball full auto at close range with a paintball gun popping the giant blisters with paint so the burns looked just fine because city of Mesa hates those kinds of pictures especially after the Maricopa County hospital employee said the evidence must be removed or you will die diagnosis rebuttal.

A murderer? Wth are you saying? He was acquitted and found not guilty. That's a fact. And yeah everyone except you because we go by something called LAW and justice in the courts. He's as much a murderer as you are legally. How's that feel.
