Todays game vs astralis but also Katowice showed us that the whole team is pretty damn cracked.Their teamplay and decisions and how theyre able to set themselves up are actually insane.Even if donks not always gonna get 2 rating per game all of them are impactful.

Donk takes advantage of time to info. If it takes 6 seconds for a rifler to see someone, digest the play that may be happening, and communicate that to the correct teammates accurately, Donk seems to get in there in 4 seconds. He gets inbetween before they can react. And has the aim to back it up.

I think you hit the nail on the head. He is extremely aggressive but it's not a chaotic balls-to-the-wall kind of aggression, and while he does have very good aim, if you look at his Leetify stats, he's not that much better than other pros (although his stats are definitely way up there). He just seems to be able to process information, and come to a decision MUCH faster than literally anyone else. It comes across as him being crazy aggressive but really it's just him being two steps ahead of everybody.

donk took a good peek but then the flash was unexpected and astralis could then take spot to instakill and gods weren't on the donk's side blabliblu. Donk was still correcting angle flashed, he instaaimed and prefired whenever he wanted on the others matches, forget about trying to reinvent science It's obvious he wasnt the "same for some reason" also chopper.

He was kind of silent on vertigo today but then he got that deagle round and spirit ran away with 5 rounds. Which was a turning point in my opinion ofc the sh1ro cemented the win for them. But seeing donk with negative kd and below 1 rating is fucking insane at this point.

It is so incredibly damn cool witness the start of, possibly the greatest Esport competitor of all time. It's insane to think, but this kid looks legit. Teams should be terrified. And Counter Strike fans should be excited, because this most likely going to shake the game up like NO one has ever seen Counter Strike before.

A heavy mobile player like donk depends on a very strong anchor and ingame calls for it to work.I think the hype train in crafting a story around him as a player is a double edged sword and is very insignificant in the breakdown of his plays. If you actually see alot of his replays its where he always shows up in the right spot, this has a big flipside wich is being overlooked aswell as the core of why vertigo is such a hard map as a result for donk to show stats in. Maps that require even more on accurate rotation calling is where he gets put under stress.

Ok but if you actually look at the tweet he made you can see a statistically significant change. The hypothesis test was 0 difference between means, with a p-value of 0.08 (anything over 0.05 is generally agreed upon to be different). Variance testing (not shown in the screenshot) would probably be larger also. So just looking at the screenshot right there you could argue that the difference is likely small but statistically significant, AND it appears that variance is indeed larger which corroborates with the drop in rounds (which makes it easier for someone to have a good game to not die/end the game early/no comebacks etc.) which will exacerbate extremes. Conclusion is: The math shows that outliers will be more prevalent and the median has increased slightly. Your 'gut' feeling explanations are all good discussion points.

You know you are dealing with a different level of player when you start counting his whiffs. I just didnt think his level of mechanical consistency was possible in cs. Due to the nature of the game, even the worst pros can have a good game and out aim everyone on the server. Thats why they call them 50/50 aim duels. The better aimer usually wins but sometimes you just happen to wake up right and feel the mouse better. In tracking based fps, the better aimer is much more likely to win a fair fight as you need to be consistently putting down bullets on target while in cs all it takes is 1 bullet. So the fact that he is overcoming the variance of mechanical ability and the "rng-ish" nature of point and click fps where its perfectly acceptable to have a bad aim day is just... Incredible...
I can see team spirit losing, if donk, zontix and sh1ro have a bad game in the same match.

I feel like when i see donk play its like watching a typical faceit playerstyle, but on steroids. He dosn’t throw insane utility or making a ginius play, instead he got insane aim and are farming like crazy. The big difference is just that he got insane knowledge about where he opponents are, and what they are doing. Like he is always at the right spot at the right time
That’s kinda what I thought too. He is kinda like prime Stewie when he was the “Smoke criminal” except he is clearly better. He has amazing mechanics some of the best we have seen, but I feel like he will be figured out pretty quickly and punished for being hyper aggressive once he is given info from his teammates or from himself.
