Yea, I’ve used the 223 delrin ones that are like those as far as one use. I have 4 of the SG aluminum ones for 762x54. Got pre sealed ammo. Had one with a stuck round. Was in there wet for over a month. Shot it at the house and it went off.

That seems like a successful test.

I counted both of them as a fail. The one Fish I had to catch by hand before he swam off, and the other one I stoned without detonation.

We are tweaking the design and making them a little thicker. I think they were breaking apart too easily.

Looks like it was maybe too weak of a filament. Research some stronger filament Nd maybe a little thicker housing.

It’s something my buddy is playing with. I like the steel ones I make. Little more work and money but they go bang.

@@jasonbihari i built some like yours. The few i used went off properly. Speargods has a new 556 one that is pretty slick

Havn't printed anything myself, but read that carbon fiber reinforced is much stronger. But if you don't loose the metal ones why print? Do the metal ones fall of and not recovered?

Too much work digging the epoxy out to reuse them. The metal ones in my opinion are disposable as are these. More times than not it ends up in the fish or shark anyway.

In your experience, A properly sealed cartridge, will let water in and contaminate the powder? Don't see the reason to epoxy. Back in the day sealed reloads with nail polish. Old style power heads machined from SS. Can always burn out the epoxy in the oven(Not the loaded ones 🤣)@@jasonbihari

I seal them so they stay good for months or until I use them. I don’t throw out the round after a day of diving. I have less than a dollar in the pipe so it’s not worth the work to clean up used ones

All of the plastic pieces left for the fish to eat?

Another reason why I like steel better

Do you have any vids of you power heading a shark. That’s what I want to see

I definitely wouldn’t depend on 3-D printed for a shark though

I have zero intentions on posting one unless it’s a very bad interaction. I typically take care of the problem before it’s a problem probably wouldn’t look too good on my end.
