I’m 47 yrs. old. My 1st truck was a 1994 Dodge Dakota with a manual transmission. I paid $10,500 for it used with 15,000 miles. Bought my 2nd truck in 1999, which was a Chevy Z71 that had 21,000 miles on it. The selling price on that truck was $25,000 with my trade and what they took off I paid $12,500. My next and last truck was a 2014 Ford F-150. I bought it in 2015 with 24,000 miles on it. They wanted $27,500 for it I gave them $21,500. I still have the Ford till this date. I’ve paid $45,000 total in my almost 50 years of life for three very nice trucks that have served me well. I’ve never had a truck payment over $300 a month while friends of mine have had truck payments as much as their house payments. The prices of these new vehicles are ridiculous.
Things have gotten out of control, way too expensive to afford.
Although that may be tru there has been way more things put into these trucks since 1994 99 and 14 and triple the engineering . That being said no I think these trucks even this one shouldn’t exceed or pass 70 75k at the absolute max . Any truck cost 100k plus should never break down or have a single issue . Saddest part you could fix things on your own back then now they make it where you have to take it to dealer and spend no less than 800$ for something simple
Cool truck. The tailgate alone is over $4000. This thing has to many options
You paid the equivalent of 45 grand for the z71. Inflation is insane and the prices of trucks are just ridiculous now a days.
Jesus Christ! So sick of people WHINING about truck prices on UA-cam. We get it! Trucks used to be cheap. Now they are expensive!!! Get over it. Don’t buy one and don’t troll UA-cam if you don’t want one💯✔️
I called my dealer weekly the moment they were showcased months ago. Got mine ordered the first week they went up for grabs back in August.
It went into production sept 18th and today i found out build complete. 3 weeks pending GM accepting, 3 weeks wait for production start, two weeks build.
Delivery status delayed, its sitting somewhere in a Michigan holding lot pending shipping. Dealer thinks another 60 days is a realistic expectation because the current notes in the system say shipping delays. I do got the VIN tho, so I am eagerly waiting. @MSRP no markup! Plus I get to take advantage of the GM friends and family coupon they extended to their employees!

Usually it’s to the left of the steering wheel by the other buttons if optioned.
By far the best video I’ve seen on this truck so far. Seems like nobody even knows that they exist. I have one ordered in the EXACT same configuration you showed in the video.

I'm doing the same in a way but the gas one, don't need the diesel but not easy finding dealer that even wants to bother ordering one. Dealers and salesman are definitely not like they used to be.

@@thescoggfatherif your main desire is off roading, this isn’t the vehicle for it. The main purpose is still a heavy duty 3/4 ton pickup. There’s far better equipped vehicles available with lockers if you want them
@@michaelfields7967 If people buy a truck for one single purpose, that's a fail. I'll stick with the 2500AT4X for what I want it for. Multiple things.

Good video. You may want to know that's not a thick coat of paint on bottom of side of vehicle for rock protection. That's sprayed on bed liner with paint over it. What appears to be thick paint is actually rubber Rino linner.

Like the looks of the GMC, but have heard too many people complain about the seats not comfortable in the Denali ultimate, say the Ford seats are much more comfortable
I’d agree, I have a 2020 Ram 2500 and the ford seats are immaculate.
I'm curious about the trim piece around the grill(i call it the u piece) why it is now red. When the 2500 AT4X came out like 4 months ago all the videos had that trim piece black. I think being black looked better, can anyone answer this? Is it an option, order override from dealer or just early model debut? Thanks for any input

You pry saw the at4x AEV edition. Most press was done with that version, and that’s black. Gotta get the AEV edition..but I did see what your talking about. On press day the regular at4x had the black “U”. So maybe that was pre-production. But you are right, if we’re talking about the same video (launch day). Nice observation!
Yeah it was the debut in North Caroliona by the river. TFL Off Road and Truck king had it. It was both the volcanic red AT4X and the gray AEV edition so i know the blk trim piece was on the regular red AT4X. The aev edition also had it i believe. I like the trim piece blk better but take it either way. Thanks for replying@@WILewis4
Good eye, and you are correct. Not sure why it changed, but while I liked the version with black, I actually like it in red better, as it makes it pop.

Are those plastic fender flares a bit wider then the standard at4? It seems like they look a bit wider to me!
I’m not 100% sure but it seemed similar in size.
@@DeLoEnterprises it definitely looks about wider then standard at4 just by looking at other videos and comparing. I think they did it to differentiate the two just like how they did on the 1500 at4 and at4x.

I hate electronic limited slip you have to turn on off . We used to have clutch type diff that was engaged full time. A 4x4 should have locking full time diff at front and rear engaged full time. No switch to turn on and off. Shame on all truck makes and stupid electronics. It was not broke and does not need fixing.

It's not prices that are out of control, it's inflation. And its only going to get worst from the looks of it. So might as well get it while its still "just" $100k!
