As a freelance video editor, I can relate. Ever since I started to wake up at 6 am, I feel like I can accomplish so much more and in much more relaxed atmosphere. I take my time with my coffee, I take my time with journaling, I take my time with my workouts, and even walking the dog. So when I’m in my working state, I am relaxed and focused without the anxiety of not doing enough (and if I’m having a lazy day, it’s ok too). Another thing that changed my life , since I have a hard time getting in the zone for long period of time (ADD, like everyone) I use the pomodoro timer that cuts my working hours into chunks. It’s cutting your working hours into let’s say 50 minutes work and 10 minutes break cycles. It can be 20/10 or whatever works for you. And in my 10 minutes break I force myself to get up and do something physical that makes you move. Like vacuum the house, water the plants. It forces you to give yourself a break physically and mentally.
Ahh a timer is a great idea! Sometimes I end up working for a few hours without a break & It definitely does have after effects 😅 Ill try it out today ~
As a fashion and magazine lover I fell to my knees when you said you didn't know W Magazine (especially with the big ass W on the cover). But great video as usual! I love to get my inspiration from magazines as well.
"The future is in the past" ~ Those who don't care about the past are doomed to repeat it is how I interpret it (Winston Churchill). Would love to see a video focused on the digicams! Great vlog, as always!
@@Havenotatslove seeing these replies. Was gonna mention I'd love to see more home decor/tour stuff too. Already looking at getting those incense and tear away calendar 🙌✨
I found a new great UA-cam omg besides the absolute gorgeous filming and editing his personality is so chill. I’m sick in bed watching this and it’s very calming, really love the vibe
i watch your vids like everyday as soon as i wake up, its so chill and calming but also bright i love it. hope u never get tired of what u do, u seem really passionate
Discovered u on tiktok and rediscovered you on UA-cam!! So nice to see a fellow syd creative on these platforms. Congrats on going full time ☺️ thanks for also showing how u organise your audio, mine was all over the place!!
Really love your videos! I was doing documentary filmmaking for a news org last year and I've been looking for channels that might help me develop my visual senses further, and everything you've put out is so inspiring. Something about the lighting and the almost quiet but present quality to it -- so thank you for sharing! (also W Magazine has always had my favourite editorials, you can't go wrong with any of their issues!)
From one freelance creative to another, great video! I love to-do lists, too. Will definitely try the warm-up task tip because sometimes I just plunge myself into editing a long video because *deadline is waving* but you're right, it's better to treat it like a sport. I also need to think of the process as a marathon, not a sprint. P.S. That Miyazaki book is doooope
I must have heard it from somewhere before but after implementing this small little routine into my mornings, I actually do feel a bit more productive! ( I love the book haha )
this is such a sweet but inspiring video! the style + energy is epic also it popped up in perfect timing since ive been drawn to creating more often :) thank youu~
This was enjoying to watch! Really love your outlook of setting realistic goals each day, each week, and just starting with small steps. Also like what you said about looking at your creative stuff as a "sport" and doing "warm ups" prior to it. I realized I've been doing the same thing but I want to do it more often! Looking forward to more of your vlogs 🔥 Oh! I also didn't know you could color code your clips like that in davinci 😳 thanks! 😅
Hi ! I am new on your channel (come from france) and i've already seen quite a few of your videos. I am starting to really get interested in making photos and videos, and I am curious about de sony camera that you talked about. Can you make like a full video on it to show the quality and good/bad aspects of this product ?
I use the Sony A7Cii! There are a lot of videos online about the good / bad aspects of the camera already that Probably talk about it better than I could! I recommend looking at my friend @Peace Gates he made a video talking about it~
Looking forward to seeing your progress as a full-time freelancer! Would you have any tips that have helped you find new clients when you were just starting out?
Thank you ~ I've found that If you create unpaid work with the intention of it being a paid project, you will slowly find yourself in a position where people will reach out to you with those projects you created as reference. Ill talk about this more in a future video!
I’ve just subbed and I don’t regret it at all. Cool chill vibe! Could you please tell me what is the name of the calendar that is in the beginning of the vid? Cheers. Oh and you’ve said that it cold during the winter. Please visit Poland during the winter. You’ll change your mind hahah
Random q but where do you keep your cat when you travel away from home? Would be cool to have one but I also want to travel. Been loving the vids man, thanks a ton
I think my timeline is very simple compared to most people, I just colour code the types of clips (A-roll/B-roll) and have sounds on seperate lines to not get confused! Otherwise I use coloured markers on the top of the timeline to label segments of the video (intro / middle / end ect..)
@@Havenotats Having come from Final Cut I find Premiere Pro to be more complex. So these tips on organizing timelines and separating the different types of media are really good to know.
hey tatsuki, idk if you would share this info but, whats the average retention % and CTR like on your videos, like how many watch till the end, Ima youtube myself and want to see what avg retention other youtubers are getting.

Bruh, you gotta talk through about how you color code your timeline in more detail. It was somehow pleasing to see the organization.
