    We realized we never gave any other tips for the hike!! Tip #2 - There are kids with hiking poles and horses which can help you reach the top. If you're in even the slightest amount of shape this isn't necessary but of course makes the hike easier! Tip #3 - I recommend wearing hiking shoes or at least good shoes with long pants because the rocks at the top can be quite hot and the trail can be slippery in places!

    What a great experience and must have been worth packing your hiking boots! Personally I was glad there wasn't any lava flowing!

    Damn that really is such a fascinating landscape, it looks like somewhere from another world! So much excitement trekking across an active volcano too! Most definitely a huge claim to fame being able to roast a marshmallow on a volcano though, not many people can say they've done that! Fantastic video from you, new friend here to support your channel! :)

      It definitely felt otherworldly!! Highly recommended if you come to Guatemala, but we’ve been told pizza is the way to go instead of marshmallows.
      Thanks for watching!!

    What a great experience. The foggy skies were a bummer but the few views were still nice. Roasting marshmallows over lava would of been cool to see. It’s interesting that they were still warm after 8 months, I wouldn’t of thought that at all. Thank you for sharing this experience!

      I think the heat mostly was from the geothermal energy coming from the volcano but I could be mistaken. It was a really fun experience and glad you enjoyed watching it!!

      Haha we got lucky in the end, but our guide actually told us it’s not usually so foggy so I guess we’re both a little unlucky 🤷🏻‍♂️. We’ll check out your video as well!

    Should this be booked in advance or I will find tours available when I arrive? I have a company charging me $59 per person US $ 🧐

    • @SirKonrad
      @SirKonrad  2 роки тому

      That’s way too much! We went to a small tour place next to McDonald’s in Antigua like the day before and paid a much more reasonable price. We recommend just bargaining with some places in town to get the best price!
