If it was solid you would get pretty messed up if they hit you as a pedestrian. I am glad they are so loose, after all they are supposed to be hidden when parked. All kinds of hood ornaments are forbidden these days in most countries.
And it only took 14 months for a $3000 replacement ornament to be shipped, 2 months in the shop and $2000 labor

@@Typzical I get your point but to be fair if you get hit by a flat-ish front end of a car not going fast enough that it would kill you, you're more than likely getting a lot of bruising but not broken bones, if the spirit of ecstasy wouldn't snap off quite easily and you got hit by that you could have it impaled in your kidneys or ribcage or anywhere.
Still best bet, let the cars stick to the roads and when on foot avoid crossing paths of moving cars altogether hey.

@Tobias Saibot yeah but I. Expensive cars they make turning tcs off a pain in the ass. I drive a Chrysler 300 and it literally forbids me from turning it off. My Mercedes isn't like that but my Chrysler is. Obviously it varies from car to car. Some are like cheat codes for video games.

Well it's not legal, but he is right. Here in Europe we don't have side amber light since cars exists and we are doing just fine, we can still see cars from side at night. It's the law, but it is undeniable that they are quite useless.

6:35 When I was a kid, we had a Dodge Maxivan with a CB antenna on the top. Parking lot attendant at the Boston Aquarium (now New England Aquarium) parking garage took Dad's money and let us in. The antenna took out every florescent bulb on the way in, along the large u-turn path as my dad turned around when the garage ceiling got to low and every one out the door to get the money back. I think it was the attendant's last day. Smash smash smash smash... raining glass over the car while my sister hid under the seat in embarrassment.
Also, it's probably easier to drift the cheap car vs the whatever the other one was. The sports car was designed to keep traction and corner, the other was not. It breaks free more easily.
I've drifted many cheap cars, and my late best friend also managed to drift an old retired UC crown vic around a rotary several times. Some sports cars are easier than others, as they're designed for traction, while others are very ass happy.. but the everyday vehicle isn't.. soooo.. it's usually much easier. Especially if you put your imagination to good use hahah
