So sad to hear how Elvis died. He hadn't lived long enough...he still had potential.
He wanted to be a serious actor. He could have travelled the world and performed in many cities .
He could have had more children and lived to see Lisa Marie 's children grow up.
The world was deprived of a wonderful entertainer.
It seems like he gave up on his life....the drugs took over and destroyed him.
    Rest in Peace Elvis
There will never be anyone else like you.

I really hope he didn't die in 1977.
I guess it's foolish to hope that he faked his death and ended up a happier man, living into old age.
His fans could not bear the thought that he died so young . Life without Elvis in the world seemed too dull to contemplate.
The world has missed Elvis. I wonder if he knew how loved he was ?

@@greyeyes2872 we all would love to think that. But I’ve watched videos on Elvis’s last concert. He didn’t look healthy and you could see how hard he was pushing himself. Did the same thing to Lisa Marie she looked horrible at the awards ceremony. Like with Elvis someone needed to get them medical attention. Shame on their Families and Friends 🥲

Yes it is a shame that noone saved either Elvis or Lisa Marie. She looked very unwell in her last few weeks.
Elvis was such a handsome young man and would have been a stunning older man were it not for his life spiralling out of control with drugs. Why does Prissy want to be buried near him when she didn't care about him in life....all she wanted was more alimony. The financial pressures on him definitely contributed to his downfall.
Colonel Parker was also a terrible drain on Elvis's resources with all his gambling debts being paid by Elvis. It seems like everyone took from Elvis and no one looked after his well being.

@@greyeyes2872 I hated that Colonel terrible man he didn’t look out for Elvis at all. He was just looking out for himself Priscilla too. I don’t get why she’s being buried there either she was more apart from him than she ever was married. They were married seven years. I was married to my first husband seven years I don’t want to be buried next to him nothing against him Just weird. Thank goodness he saved Graceland to. I would’ve been heartbroken if someone would’ve heartbroken if somebody besides Presley on Graceland.

These men hurt Elvis emotionally and he carried that huge hurt to his grave.I wish most fans were able to discern the truth from the lies about Elvis, but they cannot because they place stock in the words of some who worked for Elvis.Vernin fired Sony West and Red West because they were roughing up some fans, causing millions in lawsuits. These "caring" Memphis Mafia stated in a video interview that I viewed that they wrote their book to get revenge, and money. They had claimed they wrote it to save Elvis but we know nobody tries to get even and destroy a person's career with the so called stated attention of helping him. They admitted they fabricated situations about Elvis so as to sell more books and make more money.Their publisher was the National Enquirer

Elvis didn’t tell his dad to permanently fire them. He told Vernon to give them about 5000, each and tell them they would be hired back in a couple of months. Linda Thompson was there when it happened. She said it. Dave was the only one that wasn’t going to be hired back. Red and Sonny would be hired back. Dave was the one who had caused the lawsuit. Instead of doing what Elvis told him, Vernon, gave them a weeks pay and 3 days notice. He didn’t do anything Elvis told him. 😊

davide, first, was his magnificent voice. Most people heard him, before they ever saw him. Not everybody had a TV back then. Second, his physical appearance. After people heard his voice, his looks were stunning. His personna looked rebellious, which contrasted with a society in which it was more normal "to fit in". Next, was his ability to capture a crowd by a unique style and movement. Then, on top of all that, he had a humble, soft-spoken shyness about him, which was completely unexpected if all you knew or had seen was his performing. To have all of these qualities in one person, it only happens once. Elvis had qualities that words cannot describe. I first heard his voice on the car radio, "Love Me Tender", I was 6 years old.

@Alex-mk1nz those were the times. Elvis lived the life of most truck drivers at the time. He HAD to be awake to do shows. That equalled amphetamines in the 70s. So, after being awake for a week or two straight, he needed something to sleep. Enter the downers. And the vicious cycle continued for 20 years.
My stepdad suffered the same fate, except he died at 32 in 1971.

Yes, I think Elvis has a golden, bedazzled Heavenly throne, with the letters "TCB" in diamonds, and Elvis' throne is right next to Jesus' throne. I'll bet they hang out together like BFFs, and sometimes they go to the swimming pool in Heaven and peek at the female angels changing into their bathing suits (Elvis liked peeking into the girl's change room at the Graceland pool). So, if you want to meet Elvis in Heaven, head over to the pool and wear a skimpy two-piece bathing suit.

I was travelling up and down the west coast and my friend - Bo Hopkins, an actor - invited me to go with him and his wife to a Christmas Eve party at Red's house. I knew no one, but as I walked through the door and was greeted warmly by Red, his family and friends and has a blast sitting down talking to him and listening to some of his stories. Who would watch this interview and think “ya, he loved Elvis so much, that he had to write a behind the scenes tell all, to milk Elvis for even more money, because he loved him so much”….
The reason that Elvis’ dad let all these dude go so fast, is they were bleeding Elvis financially dry…..there was going to be nothing left…..and for them to say they didn’t get any money, is a straight up lie…. I recently saw one of the men interviewed (because of the new Elvis movie) and he is still living in the massive house that Elvis bought for him in 1972…..also, when they were “let go” with only 3 days notice…. How were they paying their bills then? If they were getting no money from Elvis? They all said “he let us go with only 3 days notice, we all had families”……… oh, okay….. so
You guys WERE indeed getting money from Elvis …..
These dudes took advantage of him in every way. I’m sure some of this (what they say) is true, but not all of it. In fact, Priscilla Presley has said that these men are directly responsible for his death, you can watch the interview on UA-cam still….

Elvis had a loving giving heart that got caught up in the world of wanting to feel good because he gave his all and the only woman that truly loved him for who he was was his mom, all the other women loved him because of his fame and talent, he needed to be loved to the point that if his voice went away they would still love him no matter what. The pain he went through and that he was in , is what destroyed him. The doctors should not have let it get to the point that it did. Elvis was loved by several really Good women. June Juanico 1956. Her book tore me up for a week. Anita Wood. He crushed her. She waited for him then entire time he was in the army. She slept next to him 5 yrs and never went all the way. She left so he could have Priscilla and never told a soul. Linda Tompson loved him broken, slept in the hospital for weeks next to him at 20!! She is still in love with him after all these years. She tours his childhood home, she goes to places he went when he was there - even now. She traces his footsteps often. Priscilla was in love with the soldier who was lonely and isolated. Not the real Elvis. They both thought they could change each other. The fact that she doesn't even know what's in archives or never listened to his entire catalog bothers me. Lisa herself said she doesn't know her dad's music other then the 70's stuff she grew up with. After my mom died I look for every grain of her left undiscovered. Cause I love her deeply.

    • @presleyjordan8519
      @presleyjordan8519 3 роки тому

@@kelliintexas3575 No, Lisa said, "I'm more prone to the 70's stuff cause I was around for that more and I have more memories of that...I like the darker stuff more. Mary in the Morning, Solitaire, don't cry Daddy, those I love." I don't doubt Linda loved him, also she was 22-26 throughout their relationship. But I don't think touring his old childhood places proves much, just she likes to go see historical places or being the center of attention. Priscilla loved him, or she wouldn't have put her foot down so many times so people wouldn't take advantage of him, hence why most of the MM didn't like her. She bought a house 5 minutes away from his after the divorce so he could be close to his daughter, let him visit and call her whenever, both her and Priscilla went to Vegas. If Priscilla didn't love him, she wouldn't have left. She would have stayed for the king of rock and roll. Marty Lacker in his book, George Klein, Joe Esposito, Jerry Schilling, and Linda Thompson talk about Elvis and Priscilla's loving bond and how much they loved each other after the strain of their marriage was over. As for Anita and June, I don't doubt they loved him deeply, but Elvis was not a monogamous one-woman man, as we all know. Anita's daughter talks about Priscilla and Anita meeting I believe after Elvis' death, and Anita talks about Priscilla looking gorgeous even without makeup on. In Priscilla's book, she talks about the notes Anita sent to Elvis while in Germany, and she imagines how upset Anita was upon her existence. Do you know how much is in the archives? Nobody knows what's in there except the archives. There are thousands of things in there and just a few pieces come out every year. She knows enough.

There's no doubt that Elvis's crew loved him dearly and were always there to look out for him. As each has said, we grew up as kids together and became grown men in the immediate orbit of a larger than life legend. We were enjoying life and just didn't see or know any better until the hooks and habits of his lifestyle were too much to overcome. Elvis unfortunately became a victim of his own fame, and Col. Parker sure didn't help the circumstances by any means. The greedy bastard was always about feeding the goose that laid the golden egg to keep the fame and money coming in. As Sonny had said, "how do you protect a guy from himself?" Elvis's ego and reliance on prescriptions wouldn't allow him to accept his own frailty or to slow down. The human body can only take so much, and his gave out way too young.
I remember the day like it was last week. I was 16 years old and helping my dad reroof the garage that hot summer day. Dad loved country music and had the radio on top with us when WGAR announced that Elvis had died. We were both shocked and just stopped and were silent. However, legends never die. They just continue to grow bigger and carry on.
