    For me my lateral weakness is more needed to work than the quads

    It starts talking about the first exercise as lunges, but then the video shows squats. Is that a mistake?

      you must have forwarded the video, he shows up/down movement in lounge position as 1st exercise, squats are 2nd

    You will not improve your speed by doing these exercises. You might improve your strength a little. You will improve speed by developing single leg stability and power.

      @@captainzork6109 To an extent, but chris is right - these are not power/explosiveness exercises as the viedo suggests. You will develop better muscles endurance (your will get them tired later) and some strength (more strength if you add weight)
