Best titles ever. Played Fox.
^_^
I remember the days when putting a "1999" or "2000" after your title made it sound futuristic. What halcyon days those were.
I started watching your tubes when I picked up Gundam models. I get so excited now when your new episodes come up, regardless of what your project entails. I've practically stopped watching Television altogether. I wish you all the best Mr. Fox and continue to kneel to your talent! Forever your Colonial cousin!
Thank you Robert, I am super flattered! I shall continue to provide idiot shenanigans informatively as best I can ^_^
top stuff, so far... i like the light orange lights inside the cockpit..!
Ha ha, I can't claim credit for the lighting rig though :)
love the music
ha ha thanks :)
Thanks for posting this up - I have had as much fun watching/listening as you have obviously had building this model.
Really need to get around to getting one myself.
My pleasure! And yes, yes you do :)
wow, great job at making the tune with only your mouth! It was amazing!
I bet my neighbours were wondering what the hell I was doing when I recorded that ^_^
Actually, come to think of it, they moved away shortly afterwards. COINCIDENCE?
Great intro , loved the music !! Look forward to the next episode !
Thank you :)
Oh, man, that theme tune takes me back... If you're bothered about light leaks, I suggest using some of that aluminium sticky tape that builders use. It's cheap and really opaque, and you can easily cut it to shape.
Ha ha :)
It looks like the primer has taken care of most of them, I'll just need to watch for when I glue the two halves together.
Worth watching for the intro alone! lol Dan
Ha ha, thanks :)
+5 for the intro theme and the guys in background making the chuga chuga sound
:D
Great vid again
Cheers amigo :)
By coincidence this video popped up just as I was finishing the command module of my eagles. Eagle 1 will be 1:32 scale, Eagle 2 only 1:48 (it's the prototype). 1:24 would be possible, but that would cost quite a bit of material and time. Watching this video, I'm already glad not to have designed the command module in two halves. That also creates a new 'problem'. Installing the cockpit interior will be a bit of a ship in the bottle. The cockpit has side walls, a ceiling and a floor. It's not just two pilots hanging from the back wall. But I managed to design it so that you can preassemble it and then insert it through the oval opening in the back in one piece. just barely by a millimeter or two.
Sounds cool! The production designers from 1999 should forever be cursed for having a cockpit set that in now way actually matches the dimensions of the ship (without some dimensional jiggery-pokery) ^_^

@@gurufoxx Oh. Facebook. The place I swore never to sign up for. But I have prepared a few pictures for you here: imgur.com/a/fjnNXJx
I might also write a report on a local board. How good is your German? By the way, I love the intro. I'm going to watch the other parts as well, just for inspiration. What do you think of using oil paints for the weathering? I still have them from my last project. That was a larger model of a Vietnam Huey, scale 1:16. That was the first time I used 3D printing to upgrade a plain model.
@@gurufoxx One more thing: Did you know that it may not be a coincidence that Space 1999 Eagle and Millenium Falcon sound somewhat similar? I'm seriously tempted to put Han and Chewie into the cockpit. Look here: www.branit.com/branit-blog/2015/8/27/blog-birthmillenniumfalcon
I know electronics and lighting are not something you want to get into but ....... adding a resistor, in series, with the resistor connected to the LED does two things, it will dim the LED and, because the additional resistance has decreased the current flow, it will make your batteries last longer.
I have no electronic skills at all, and I actually had no intention of lighting this kit, but the lights were pre-made for me and a gift, so I had to include them :) But as to adding resistors and capacitance and all that, I seriously have no idea at all.
"it looks kind of cool" ?!!! it is the EPITOME OF COOL!!! lol. Great job! Great funny video! I subs and like. Thanks!
Thanks! You are right, of course :)
Can you be so kind to add what tools I need to complete this build? I just bought one for 2022! thank you ever so much
Really you'll need a selection of standard modelling tools - I can't really recall every tool that I used in this build as it was a few years ago now, but I show what tools I use as I go along in each episode of the build :)
@@gurufoxx thank you ever so much. your videos are genuinely inspiring to get on with building models. Knowing what to face is of great help, knowning you have been there and how you solvde the problem/s shortens the learning curve and reduces the chance of giving up. Really really appreciated all your support.
@@riccardoronco627 You are more than welcome, that's entirely why I make these videos :)
if you need to defuse the lights just sand the top of them
I did, yay!
Loving the intro music . One of yours fox ?
Of course! I couldn't resist :)
that was definitely your scat vocal in the intro Fox? 😃
Yup, it was all me, acapella and mouth noises :)
Apart from the timpani, which was me hammering on a biscuit tin ;)
Modelmaking Guru Awesome sauce. 😊
Is there room do you think to put a TinyScreen into the cockpit? I always wondered if it might be possible to have animated crew displayed in the back wall now we have these screens being used in other modelling projects.

Yeah, there's nothing in the cockpit apart from the back wall and the two figures, so I reckon it's a possibility :)
