Buddy you just saved me from buying this bike... I was planning to buy it this year end... Oh man... Service cost is on very high end... Even Honda CBR 650r does not have this much maintenance costs. I was watching all paid media's reviews and was trusting their reputations. Thank God...
Ktm 390 will be very underpowered compared to the 500-650cc bikes that too for a heavy adventure bikes with luggage and pillion. Riding at regular cruising speed for long rides for 110kmph will be impossible without fatigue
Agree with every single point. I own a TNT 300 and done around 23k kms in 2 years and I have witnessed benelli's journey in india for last couple of years and I must say they are working on various issues like maintenance cost. Currently part costs is a big problem and hopefully they will start localization for the parts soon! They have introduced AMC package. Every manufacturer/bike comes with its pros and cons its upto consumer if it ticks all the right boxes or not.

I also own a bennelli tnt 300 and it's been more than a year that I haven't done the service, because after dsk and bennelli got split, nobody is providing services in Kolkata. I some how managed to change the engine oil from a local mechanic. Plz suggest some thing on it.
Aah thats a peoblem bro... Write to Benelli India through email and there facebook n instagram page n check if it is okay with them if all the time u do the service from outside.. there are people who do super bike service, they can do it.

You are brutally honest. Enjoyed your micro analysis which will endear to many. I fail to understand as to why a 500 cc bike service cost is much higher than a Honda WRV's. Perhaps this is the reason as to why Benalli Bhubaneswar has closed down. Am told that BMW 310 R service cost is now below RS 4000 @ 10,000 km intervals. Keep posting your honest views .

Very detailed review.....brilliant job. After watching your review, I am sure that the biggest negative of the TRK 502 is the service/maintenance cost. The Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT is a way better choice than this TRK
Getting the bike to neutral takes some effort on my 302R as well. So I guess it’s there on all the new bikes. My bike has done about 1300kms but I didn’t notice this in the test ride bike , maybe after 2-3 service it will be fixed

I was almost sold out to this about a month ago, but like you mentioned about the service & maintenance which I also personally dig inside & researched, finally had to restraint myself 😛 Initial cost vs running cost, you gotta be pretty sure that you'll end up paying more at the end of 2-3 years of ownership. Sometimes you get caught up with low price tag 😃

All Benelli does not go till 15k . being a owner of 2 Benelli i can say there are no engine changes ,apart from Engine Oil, Coolant flush is optional and not mandatory.
@@sandipbhagat974 definitely not . Trk x is an exceptional machine in its own way. Service cost is much less now . I have 300 and 600. Can vouch for it . Trouble free .
Interceptor seat is very narrow and it is a drawvack during touring. Also foot pegs hits your leg whenever you want to move the bike without switching on engine
I took the test ride of trk 502 as well as interceptor... I am upgrading from himalayan... I do like minimum 10k a year mostly on touring... Service thing is not allowing my whole heartedly to go for TRK... Kindly suggest what should i do
Sailor Rider , I took a test ride for both TRK feels super premium , enough punch , interceptor is naked , more like a cafe racer , if u want to do mods it will cost u another 1 lakhs so I would rather go with trk if not then KTM adv

so ... talking about Beneli 502 TRK or TRKx both are very expensive and the service cost is also very high, also tire and parts are also expensive .i personally feel best would be to buy a 650 interceptor with good sound and power and still not expensive on parts and service .
True! It just gives a big bike feel and nothing else, it weighs almost 240 kgs and with all panniers, top box set-up it will be close to 270 kgs. Just imagine if you also have a pillion 😂 You are not going to make it to places like Ladakh with this heavy weight machine. It has a poor power to weight ratio, only suitable for highway riding!

Take the interceptor. That's the bike I'm most likely to buy ( unless I win the lottery) and Munnar is one of my regular destinations. 😇
