The Versys is one of the best tourer in its segment. Benelli has lot to prove, as for me the kawasaki has an amazing engine and sleek look unlike the bulky Benelli, so its the Versys for me.
Tried, tested and reliable Versys being the better bike of the two is no surprise, but Benelli steals the show when it comes to looks ! If I were looking for one of these, I’d certainly feel confused and chaotic even though I may eventually settle for a Versys (but not without wishing it had the good looks of Benelli ) !!
If they were smart enough to stuff in the existing Benelli 899 triple engine in it, it would absolutely walk all over the Versys... and then some! Seriously. Getting that puny 500cc two-pot lump to haul all that adventure bike heft is a rotten deal breaker.
Test rode Versys 650 today. It was actually better than I expected. The only two objections I had was that my knees felt bent lil more than I wanted and it didn't like to drop to low RPM's like some other bikes. But, overall, it was nice, smooth and comfy. Never tried Benelli but, I think I've seen them. Good looking bike.
This review was on point. It was clear, crisp and hilarious. Good job guys. And for the bike, it does look massive and the sound is such a pleasure. But worried about the after sale support and maintenance cost. :(
Can you really notice the difference 19kg makes as far as picking it up goes and how nimble the bike is .Fair enough power to weight ,its way down anyway

The fantastic exhaust note is due to a 360° crank. The confusion between selecting Versys 650 and TRK would be easier if they'd launched the TRK502 @₹4.5 lakhs and 502X @₹4.99 lakhs. This would've easily brought the on road pricing difference easily by more than ₹2 lakhs, and the Benelli could've made more sense. Currently it's a slippery slope at this price and Versys still has the upper hand I believe in terms of reliability and resale value. Also the kerb weight is actually 210 kgs for TRK 502 and 502X, found in international official websites. Still heavy in my books for a 500cc twin adv. The weight of 235 kgs is when fully accesorised and loaded with panniers and top box. Cheers!

People would just buy trk because of its seat height.....as a short rider....we also wish to put our foot on the ground.....trk styling and versys soul ..is the only answer

Now only time will tell when we will get a better 650 for re I think they are gonna go with a scrambler 650 then proceed to Himalayan 650

To properly haul all that Multistrada-esque plastic bodywork, TRK502 desperately needs the new 750cc parallel twin they just made for the upcoming Benelli 752s. At least! Of course the company's existing 899 triple would be even better for it...!! Pretty damn obvious, so what's stopping them is a complete mystery.
Tried the Benelli out in a dealership. Nice build, good balance, stupid tank design. The moment you stand up, the tank wings cut into your legs, which makes it bad for off-road riding. Not what you want in an adventure bike.
This took care of almost everything... but to use these two on a daily basis, city fuel efficiency is very important for people who would spend all their savings on this and not wait for the weekends to ride this. So to be able to ride this everyday, What is the fuel efficiency? 😉
All you need for regular riding for 90% of the people is only 30 horsepower, the other 10% are semi-pros and they are not going to be using any of those, they will go for a 1200 to 1500 500 kilos bike for the street or light enduro OR a nimble 250 to 300 cc for street plus off road on around 100 kilos.
but here the price should not matter. although they have their price tag it comes with after sales service too and both the kawi and Benelli are very expensive at servicing them. better bet would be the Suzuki Vstrom

The exhaust note is a beauty . Beautiful Beautiful Bike No extra accesories needed except panniers (80k) The weight is not much of an issue . Versys sure needs a facelift now. Though The company ownership is a fearful fact considering it has swapped ownership in 2 yrs in india .
This is the problem.. I am between those bikes and I don't know wich one to buy.. Benelli TRK X is very beautiful.. The VERSYS is better bike, is beautiful but not like TRK X..
Just take TRK502 body design and put it on the versys! Would be perfect!

This man has a unique and wonderful way of explaining things using from the shoe at the start as an example, and all the way through.

Benelli TRK looks awesome but I feel Kawasaki versys is a better option.
For sure is better.. But more expensive of course.. If the make a TRK with 650 cc or 750 and 70 HP will be perfect in very good price
