    Can I take this degree without any prior knowledge in computer science? Also how math heavy/difficult is it? I currently don’t even know calculus.

    • @saimittapalli9668

      Bus Calc is enough, unless u plan to take a cs class or a cs minor (that requires u to take calc or discrete math as a prerequisite)

    Do you study in English or German?
    What kind of preparatory course do I need to study so that I can apply for MIS Bachelor's degree? W-Course or T-Course?

    • @itbrezel
      @itbrezel  2 роки тому +1

      Good Question about the W&T Course. Spontaneously I would say you should take the T Course because this course is primarily orientated to IT and Management Information Systems is considered as an technical degree here in Germany. Less an economical one. But I would highly recommend to ask the university you want to apply for. They can give you a more clear answer! And yes, I study in German 😀

    Hi.
    Great video, please answer my doubt.
    How to make a career in cyber security after having masters in MIS. I also have master in cyber security previously.

    • @itbrezel
      @itbrezel  Рік тому

      Hi, thank you for your question!
      My thought is that when you already have a master's degree in Cyber Security what kind of doubts could you have?
      If you wouldn't have any knowledge about Cyber Security this would be another topic. So it would be great to probably speak about those doubts more clearly because you obviously have good chances to start your career there 😁

    I've just started studying MIS and I'm planning on buying a new laptop any recommendations for a good laptop for a MIS-student ?

    • @itbrezel
      @itbrezel  Рік тому +1

      Hello Hamodi, I can't give a direct answer which laptop is to recommend but what I can definitely recommend is to take a look on as much Storage space as possible. You have to handle several software programs so the more you have storage space &
      Working memory the better. I have constantly to delete data because my storage is constantly full😀

    is mis better than bba / marketing/ finance ?

    • @itbrezel
      @itbrezel  Рік тому +1

      To answer your question I want to mention that especially in hard economical times companies are more willing to fire people who are not necessarily needed for making profits. Therefore I recommend to you to choose between MIS & Finance over BBA & Marketing.
      Yes, BBA is also related to economics but there are two reasons why this degree in my eyes is overvalued. First, too many People are doing it. Second, you don't have deep specialization in a certain area. Which means that companies have to pay to teach you that specialization.

      Mach ich doch gerne!😁
      I can make a video about it when my exams are finally finished. But to give you a good answer I need to know what kind of a career do you want to achieve?

    • @v1the
      @v1the Рік тому

      Honestly I‘m more into the business side of the MIS, so honestly being a manager or CEO zum Beispiel, I‘m just eager for the business side more than the computer it side of the degree. Und viel Glück mit ihren Prüfungen :)

    • @itbrezel
      @itbrezel  Рік тому +1

      The thing is you can't study CEO and apply for it. No matter what type of C - Level management position you are looking for companies will always hire you because of your experience, expertise and network. The most important aspect of those three is your network.
      If you know someone who is working as a manager and he trusts you and sees great potential to become a good manager, then it will be much easier for you to become one. Otherwise you could also go your own way and start your own business.
      If you don't have a good network and you don't want to take the high risk to start your own business, you could also go your way up in a smaller company with good financial foundations like a startup or Medium-sized company. There it will be much easier to take a lot of responsibility and to prove yourself.
      But also be aware that being a manager is not so much Glamorous as it looks in the public eyes. You have to deal with a lot of pressure and since there is only one management position for a whole department you need to handle with a lot of intern politics. Which means you have to manage a lot of people and you don't have much Options when it comes to trust the people who can get the jobs done. And when a at the end of Quarter the numbers a not looking good as expected, you are the only one who is responsible.
      Management information systems doesn't mean that you will become a C - Level Manager. It means that you are responsible to manage certain data created by the integrated Information Systems and bring them into the needed order (Information).
      If you don't have the interest into the computer side, don't start the studies of MIS. IF you have 50% interest into Computing take you chance. In my own experience, it is worth it!
      Und danke für die lieben Worte!;)

    • @v1the
      @v1the Рік тому

      The thing is that I have interest in the business side more than the computing side. And I‘m willing to work on the business side with this degree, I do like business and got no problem learning a coding language. It caught my eye that this degree is considered as two degrees in one. Soo yea
