Maribel Mayhua My lecturer didn't even teach us about the course. She just sits there and let us read the slide out loud. And that's it. But this man is really eager to teach his students and it makes me wanna find him and study where he is teaching. God bless him 💜
Hi there! I have a company and I want you to help me please to decide which information system to choose/use for each of these a) if I want to reduce my stock inventory space but dont loose customers and b) if I want to reduce the transportation costs for trying to have better management of the vehicle itineraries . Please Help! Which one to choose and why? Could it be M.I.S. in the first one? In the second? *note that the company wants to do a digital transformation.
Knowledge of components of Information System (IS) for a 21st Century manager is important at least to understand/identify any kind of problem whenever it exists and provides legitimate and sustainable solution accordingly. In line with this rationale, a branch manager of Bank Z learnt that all the computers that Tellers are using and those utilized by staff members in the branch fail to get connected to the central bank system of Bank Z. if you were the manager of the branch, which specific components of IS would you consider?
I would like to addressed my conclusions, what is the information system means? There are 5 components consist of as follows: hardware, software, data, people and process. And how about the question as follows, what is the Information system? combining of users, technology and processes to complete a given goal. Thank you
He made a good statement at the end but mastering anything takes more than couple of years. Success is not always guaranteed if you switch to another discipline. The key here is innovation, you can't master everything.
A data point is a numerical representations of an event. Human minds establish relationships across data sets. The awareness of those relationships is information.
1-hardware: physical device
2-software: tell the hardware what to do.
3-data:info manipulated by the software

Niceee
thanks for this, my lecturer made Info syatems seem a lot more complicated than it actually is.
If data = information, then what is information ? Coz i learnt that data and information are two different terms with different meanings.
A data point is a numerical representations of an event. Human minds establish relationships across data sets. The awareness of those relationships is information.
Information is data organized in a meaningful way, which increases it's value compared to data that existed before being manipulated by people.
Data are pieces of information and not data =information
When various data are joined together they form meaningful information
@@marlonbrandoseyes1443 nice one
