Both Tai Lung and Po were adopted. I never made that connection before and I have watched this move so many times. And both were trained by Shifu. Only one could become the Dragon Warrior! Great watching with you all.
everyone says “he learned that much after one day” one day this one day that, during the montage you can see it turn night to day several times, that montage was over the course of a week
An important thing to note is that Po’s dad never intentionally hinders Po’s desire to become a kung fu legend, Po simply didn’t have the confidence to actively pursue it or make it known. For all Mr. Ping knew, his son was perfectly content to take up the family noodle business. After all, from what we’ve seen Po was very studious in that field
Too late dude, there are some people who disrespected Mr Ping for being unsupportive of Po's kung fu dream in the Baby Po clip from Kung Fu Panda a long time ago before the comments were turned off years later lol.
One thing I learned about Po is that he learns skills very quickly compared to other martial artists who trained for years. He's a prodigy and even mastered most chi attacks
I do love that although he is a prodigy, he still has to work and is still learning. Like in this movie, although he learned with Shifu, he barely got the dumpling with Shifu and then with Tai Lung, he had to actually think about his environment and get hit a few times to learn that he can redirect. He actually learned what Shifu said when you say, "Using your opponents' strength against them." When Po was fighting Shifu the first go around. And even in the second, there is a difference in that he's actually fighting proper and is even leading the 5 in a way, like he's made these different strategies like who can fight with who and how.
My favourite fact is how his Kung Fu style is unique, being Panda Style. He uses unpredictable attacks, a playful posture utilizing his size and strength. Its a cool differential
Isn't that because he trained in a way that would benefit him the most? Instead of being forced into a method he wasn't used to, shifu taught him using something he enjoyed, so he was able to learn much faster
fun fact about the opening dream sequence, that was produced by James Baxter. those not in the know, he's a long time animator that's worked with Disney Movies, Dreamworks movies, and brought on as guest animator for a number of animated series (Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, etc.)
I love his work so much. As someone who loves animation every time I see a James Baxter sequence, can kind of tell, or just learn in general, James Baxter worked on a show, I get so happy!

Master Oogway had the Vision, and had a stroke/heart attack soon after learning it came true with Tai Lungs escape. He was taking great care to stay calm up until that point, once he felt it coming on, he left the mortal realm.
I love how in the end Po wasnt some magical chosen one. There was no secrect ingredient. He didnt have any special power. He was just Po. I also loved how the movie starts making fun of po weight and being fat but in the end he uses it to save the day.
One of my only nitpicks with Kung Fu Panda 4 is that (spoiler alert) Tai Lung returned but didn't reconcile with Shifu before returning to the spirit realm! When he came back and was shown to have found peace, I thought, "Oh cool! He can now go ask his adopted father for forgiveness and finally accept his apology! But we didn't get that and it honestly was disappointing!
Fun fact, Shifu literally means Master. Them calling him Master Shifu is like saying “Master Master”. Tai Lung means Great Dragon! So Shifu literally named him Tai Lung in hopes that he would’ve become the Dragon Warrior.
This was a great movie, though my favourite of the series is the second one. Kung Fu Panda 2 has the greatest villain of the franchise, who is potentially also the greatest villain in all of Dreamworks in general. Tigress is also great. She's probably been my favourite of the heroes ever since I first saw this movie as a kid in 2008.
I don't think I'll ever find another series of films that'll ever beat the Kung Fu Panda series and How To Train Your Dragon trilogy. They're really something else. The comedy, the emotion, the animation, and my god the MUSIC. Really amazing

Shifu represents confuscionism. It's pro government and law and order and respecting authority and establishment. Oogway represents daoism. It's a harmonious go with the flow accepting things as they are belief.

Alternatively, there is (Wuqinxi) Five Animal Play with the Tiger/Liver/Wood Element, Deer/Kidney/Water Element, Bear/Stomach/Earth Element, Monkey/Heart/Fire Element, and Crane/Lung/Metal Element. Idk if related but Bear could have contributed to the Panda Bear selection.
"EVERYTHING I DID, I DID TO MAKE YOU PROUD. TELL ME HOW PROUD YOU ARE, SHIFU. TELL ME. TELL ME. TELLLLLL MEEEEEEEEEE!!" hits harder than any other villian quotes
Kung Fu Panda 2 is one of the best sequels ever.
"The scroll has given him power" is probably my favourite line in the movie, the delivery from ian mcshane killed me 😂
Master Oogway had the Vision, and had a stroke/heart attack soon after learning it came true with Tai Lungs escape.
He was a chosen one, he also had a special power, he is a king fu prodigy. Which is why he surpasses tai lung by a large margin in a matter of weeks.
But we didn't get that and it honestly was disappointing!
this series along with how to train your dragon are top tier movies for sure i love them so much
So excited to see y’all react to the series. I hope y’all love it. It’s one of my favorites!
If you guys are really wanting the king fu vibe I’d recommend the forbidden kingdom starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li
Again let‘s also mention that the soundtrack is soo good. Especially the Oogway Ascending Theme
One of the best parts of the movie
Yep
I saw this movie in theaters back in 2008.
This movie has a great message. Live in the moment, believe and try not to force things to happen.
I just realized there's a lot of ghost focued realms people just hop in and out of in shows and movies. The ghost zone from Danny Phantom, the phantom zone from Superman, the null void from Ben 10, the spirit world from Avatar: The Last Airbender, this, and so on.
Shifu represents confuscionism. It's pro government and law and order and respecting authority and establishment.
Oogway represents daoism. It's a harmonious go with the flow accepting things as they are belief.
This and How to Train Your Dragon are some of my animated movies and franchises! My personal favorites from Dreamworks!
How about Shrek?
Also, no clue what Rana is going on about near the end with Yugioh, that came out around the same time as Pokemon, Digimon etc. lol
yea that was questionable lol 😂 cause pokemon and yugioh came out in 96 and digimon 97
Ngl was wondering about that myself
Kung Fu Panda is so epic. This is one of Jack Black's best movies ever. Learning about kung fu is awesome and freaking hilarious. Everybody is kung fu fighting!
🐼🐼🐼🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣
No Pat? I'm sold.
💀
Why does he talk like a 16 year old white boy trying to act black
As kid and still now, I love Lord Shen so much, just everything about him especially then was so unique, I love how DreamWorks actually dares to create psychos and actually shows their insanity
y’all look really good in this video
Tai Lung's escape scene will never not amaze me
Shifu's expression when Oogway is blowing out the candles is priceless. 5:52 is my favorite moment in the film.
Master Oogway is one of the goats. It is sad that he’s gone
Thank God Dustin Hoffman agreed to do seifu, he and Jack Black make the films. Fun reaction
One of the most solid movie trilogies ever. Yes, I said it. (Just hoping the 4th one won’t disappoint.)
PLEASE WATCH THE SECOND ONE, it's just to good of a movie to miss
Each person's reaction in your grp is so fun 😂 , just can't pick any favourites 😢❤
still love these movies to this day and happy you guys enjoyed yourselves . I love Jack Black so much.
11:48 God i love this quote. It's most famous Oogway quote
Omg omg please watch the second and third movie!!! I absolutely loved your guys reaction to the first movie. This trilogy is my all time favorite 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Going to school after this movie came out everyone was saying “skadoosh” and “ouch my tenders”
Spidey with the "This is what it's like tryna catch a cat" during the Tai Lung escape 🤣🤣🤣
16 years later and this movie is still awsomely good.
I can't wait for Kung Fu panda 2, it's such a great film, I think it's the best example of how to make a sequel
Ok we need a kung fu panda 2 reaction that one is amazing
The quote was popularised by Kungfu Panda. If you hadn’t watched the movie, then you probably heard it from someone that had.
8:28 Remember Oogway's quote : "One often meets destiny on the path he chose to avoid it". Tai-lung escaped because Shifu wanted to avoid it by sending Zheng(correct the name if I'm wrong) to the prison.
32:41 I LOVE Suraj's reaction to Po using the Wuxi Finger Hold
21:50 Shifu's face as he takes the dumpling is hilarious😂
In a classic Disney or king du movie the scroll absolutely would of been a magical magic fun that gave him powers
