I love the ps3. Thanks for fixing up an old console controller which I used to play a lot. I’ve had this issue happen so many times and it’s love that people are actually fixing these controllers instead of throwing them out :)

The white/pearl colour you get from retrobrighting is amazing. Well done! always great to see controllers being fixed, as theyre the most common and easiest to repair. Usually.
Love you covered the PS3 controller but wish more attention was brought to the CECHZC2U A2 or ps3 gen 2 controller as the internals are different and dismounting it even more so.
Yes, I discovered the random presses issue by chance when one of my controllers went crazy. I replaced the foam with the modern foam that comes in the package of modern electronics with is more dense and sturdy and filled the gaps on the plastic placement in the case to prevent it to deform in the future.
I love to watch your videos. Those aren't restoration videos based on one and the same scheme of accidentally finding something, cleaning with water and changing 99% of parts. Your videos are true ones, and satisfying at one time.
Hey OddTinkering! I lover your videos! You inspired me so much that I bought the screw driver set and repaired my ps4 slim. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!
I had the same problem with random pressing buttons. I had no idea it could be because of the piece of foam. I tried it out and it worked. Nice. Thank you very much.

I've never taken apart a controller before but I didn't want to buy another one. The left thumbstick was acting haywire and causing the right stick to move when it wasn't supposed to. The buttons weren't responsive as they should be. This totally helped me now it's working perfectly.
As soon as you started removing the motor, I was just thinking, "NO DON'T DO IT! IT'S A TRAP!!!"
