17/4 22 lnteresting to see fuel filter change. Any merit in using magnetic sump plug at the next engine oil change ? Where are the worst areas for tin worm ? What are the best tyres when replacements are due? Thanks for help & advice - have 'bought' wife's Millenium at 53 000 miles.

I have no experience of using magnetic sump plugs but I'd assume that if there was any swarf in the oil they might catch, it would be a major issue anyway! Rot gets everywhere but mainly sills, subframe and rear arches. I like Uniroyal Rainsport or Toyo Proxes tyres for these - excellent grip and good value.

Ford dealers can still get parts for these cars, try your local dealer - or contact someone breaking one on Ebay, sure to be a few secondhand ones around.

Hi, Were you turning it clockwise to remove the oil filter? Is it a reverse thread?

Long since gone to a new home as I needed something more practical and daily use through winter wasn't doing the rusty bodywork any good.
