I have a question. The Toro Turfmaster 30 inch has come way down in price used. I'm wondering how much better the HDX turfmaster is? Used it looks like around double the price of the non HDX.
How heavy is it? I am considering purchasing a 30" walk behind mower for a 0.7 acre yard with lots of obstacles. I heard the Scag SFC30 is very heavy and difficult to maneuver without swivel casters. The other mower I am considering besides these two is the Toro Timemaster.
I’m not sure of the exact weight but I heard that it’s way lighter than the scag for sure. I service a lot of small properties with lots of obstacles and I’m pretty happy with how easy it is to maneuver. I’m really happy with it I had a timemaster and I wasn’t really happy because a lot of things would break all the time. The turfmaster is heavy duty and overall easy to maneuver through obstacles I highly recommend it.
@@Watch-me-mowThanks for the response. I'll keep an eye out for a used Turfmaster or an Exmark 30in then (if I am not mistaken Exmark belongs to Toro). Wish they weren't so darn expensive tho lol. Timemaster is more affordable but does seem flimsier. It makes sense that it won't survive everyday use.
It's certainly a decent mower though I would say it might be a great mower for smaller lawns and tight places and not the best mower for residential properties. It's not necessarily the best for residential as many lawns can be too big to cut with that mower. Many of the residential lawns I have are easily between 8,000 and 10,000 square feet of actual turf and I have several that are closer to an acre of actual turf. I don't like how small they made the opening from under the mower to the bagger because the grass easily blocks off that opening- I always thought it should have been bigger. I have had 8 so far and am getting the electric model this Spring. I hope you make millions with that mower!

What do you do with the clippings? We don’t bag in Texas.
Each property here in Sacramento have their own green waste garbage bin so I dispose that way for every property
