I just purchased a 2024 P 700-2, and started checking out you tube, a bit late seeing your posts, and I have commented on a few, but I just have to say, yours are the better posts, others are just painful to watch man
Thanks for the video. Very informative. Wow!! That air filter was bad news 😅. Not sure if this machine is yours or a customers, but it needs cleaned like something terrible. Poor example of how that machine is taken care of. I wouldn't buy it if it was for sale because of that.
@@Bart-nd8po it is also very important to do valve checks every thousand kilometers on this machine and I personally recommend doing your air filter every 500 km
We have a 2009 has had problems now over 10k miles. Leaking oil and fuel getting into air filter. Over the years sometimes just won’t start then back to mechanic. Throttle boy was cleaned out recently worked for a while then wouldn’t start. Latest mechanic replaced the starter and it’s running. Air filter gets bad quickly as we are in the dirt. Looks like the one in this video. Scratching my head.
You have a big red motor and that machine can be very temperamental and needs to be well-maintained especially the air filter if the air filter is not cleaned regularly it will cause damage to the cylinder and eventually the cam
I hope you charge extra to service a dirty machine. That's absurd that someone would bring such a dirty ride in for routine service. I'd understand if it was a catastrophic failure and they were bringing it straight from the trail or something.
That machine would have got a bath before i ever even pulled the dip stick. Oh yes the customer would pay extra. No wonder some machine dont last very long.
If people want their machines clean, they can do it themselves. I do not have time. I am a mechanic and a good mechanic with a long lineup of returning customers waiting to get their machines done. I am not a detailer.

Tks for sharing. Change it on my buddies pioneer in a couple days 🤙🏻
You’re welcome make sure to thoroughly clean and oil the air filter most important on those machines
Good stuff! Questions: how many quarts of oil and what viscosity? Assume 10w-30. And how do you access the air filter?
Honda GN4 is 10W-40 the oil filter is underneath the passenger seat under the rubber flap thanks for your comment
Oh and it takes 3 L of oil👍
@@Maxsmotoshop where's the air filter located?
@@cjb8993 the air filter is located under the tilt bed
@@treythornton1439 thanks, I found it, super simple

Why not put all 3 liters of oil in at one time ? Was confused as to why you waited until it was warmed up to add last bit of oil. Great content.
I followed the procedure in the service manual👍 that is a good question though I’m not too sure

I definitely charge a little extra when our machine shows up with layers of mud like that👍
