This english translations are catastrophic. They don't focus on delivering the jokes, instead to write new ones or skip them when it's little harder to translate between languages. 90% of the sketch I read something different than I listened to.
I usually praise the translation, this time it was a wee bit flat. 4:35 Prime opportunity for "You're gonna stretch like granny's knickers" over there :D But "Czarne Oczy" was nicely saved
2:24 I dunno why someone didn't translate it, but he says "Why're ya standing there like a pitchfork in the muck? C'mon, come a lil closer!" Sometimes a gag is funny only cause of the words were used. Da Witchman universe, e.x. has this common rudeness, rough n' thick vocabulary and general cynicism, which is indeed funnier than familly feud guy. Another cocksukin translation 4:33; He says smthn like "Never do it in one place or you'll get soaked as a tea bag." 😂I'm startin to pickle out of laughin. 😉 7:53 "Ya pimped up like a janitor on teacher's day." 😁-Someone pls stop this rollercoaster of laughter. 11:54 "Leave! It's taking too long! (Gienek) -Like in StarTrek "Live long and prosper"🖖🤓 12:24 "Rly this much?! I recommend AMM's Maciej i Smok (Maciej and the Dragon) AKA Król i Wieśniak (The King and the Peasant). It's another one of theirs that's relatively universal with few Polish-specific word-plays or references so it should be quite easy to translate for your designated caption maker. One of my personal AMM favourites.
Good morning :), since march there have been so many British military cars in Szczecin and the surrounding area that this says it all. Previously, there were always training sessions, so saw them from time to time, but now they go every 2,3 days long columns of military cars with soldiers on the streets... yesterday, when i was going to the Supermarket, saw them too... Rob, your mentioning about how sketch works around ~6min. nah, it's not about guys with difficulties. it's about whole society, that thinks, if you don't have those difficulties, you;re better. this sketch are presenting that we are all morons, but at diferent angles. all depends on situation (; even you are Gienek sometimes, when your wife get mad :D this situation is kinda slick, cause it's overdrawn for both parties, but they're no two different ones. in fact they're one and same, but on different approach.
I strongly suggest cabaret "Smile" with their piece "manson", but for full experience you need to watch both versions, original first ( ua-cam.com/video/0oDJl_UidZU/v-deo.html ) and after one with a little lat's call it "support" from Ani Mru Mru ( ua-cam.com/video/3QhrwAprKJ4/v-deo.html ). A bit of work for Pan_Damjanek but its worth it.
Please react to this song:"Mury" Mury" (Walls) was a sung poetry protest song written by Polish singer Jacek Kaczmarski in 1978. It was especially popular among the workers of Solidarity (NSZZ Solidarność) and is one of Kaczmarski's best known songs. It became a powerful symbol of the opposition to the communist regime in the People's Republic of Poland and was sung at countless rallies, meetings, protests and strikes throughout Poland during the 1980s. The lyrics for Mury were written in 1978 to the melody of the song L'Estaca by the Catalan singer Lluís Llach, which Kaczmarski heard on one of several Spanish records he borrowed from a friend in December of that year. The intention of Kaczmarski's lyrics was to examine how a song or poem can cease to become the 'property' of the author after it is 'stolen' by the masses, who may appropriate it for a particular cause even if it wasn't the author's intention in the first place. In this context, the song can be interpreted as supporting the Polish or Catalan struggle for independence, but also as a critique of certain aspects of mass social movements. Also the skit at least to a polish person, does not imply a disability, but instead simply a funny character...
