As a newly minted cub, this has been an incredibly helpful video. I appreciate you taking the time to put it together. Having played primarily as a caster through out WoD and Legion, making the jump to melee has been...interesting to say the least. Please keep up the great work :)
Thank you so much for this guide. I recently respecced from Boomy because I missed my feral. I'd always been a little uncertain about when and how to use certain talents and abilities and you've really helped out to make it a little more enjoyable for me. Kudos to the Feral Druid Army.
There is a lot that goes into a feral druid by the way, its hard to classify specific stats people want because they change constantly. Id recommend going into the druid discord and going to the feral tab and asking questions there, right now my stats are weighed more towards vers/mastery, crit right behind. Feral is a loooot of work and very difficult to keep up with, there are so many ways you can play feral as well its ust such a broad fun spec! this was a good video and i hope to see more! also have some 7.1.5 vids up if anyone wants to see feral in action!
thank you so much for your video!! totally on point, awesome dps combo that makes an awesome sense keep it up!! will gladly watch your upcoming videos!!
yo lad, thank u for this! I just started playing feral druid and i absolutely love it - but I suck at it lol. I usually play Ret paladin and this is so different fra them. But after watching this video I improved so fast and so much. So thank you brother, this really just gave me that last push to really love live this class :)
i know its 7.2.5 now, but id like to add that im loving feral all the way, the damage feels smooth especially the DoTs. I just dinged 110, got few peaces of gear and at ilvl 824 i have no issues dealing 310k dps ST, its a complex rotation, but good, so im quite happy and waiting to get better gear ;p
With Convergence of Fates, many sims (including my own) show that Incarnation is better than Savage Roar. It makes the rotation a ton easier too I feel as you can spend more time using Rip and Ferocious Bite as your finisher
Go look at my other comments in this very comment section, because there I do explain part of what is wrong with it. The point of my above low-effort-comment wasn't to pat myself on the back for being a better feral, but rather to ensure no one actually watches this video and does what it says (again, because its a horrible guide). And in case you are actually interested, yes I do in fact know the spec better than the guy in this video, which my parses support. Why are you defending this video in the first place? It's a horrible and wrong guide no matter how you put it, and surely you realize that?! Simply by reading Xanzara's guide, you'd already be miles ahead of the gameplay this guide suggests.
Hey dude, i kinda wish you would do more pvp battle ground videos and stuff.... I miss doing battlegrounds with you but everytime i go to do bgs with ur always doing dungeons or farming nethershards D:
Thank you for the video! Do you by chance know a place you can see what trinkets compare to each other? Also with 7.2 out did that change our BiS legendary combo?
Go to the druid discord if you're really interested. For legendaries, the feral ones are really close, so use the ones you are most comfortable with, really. Luffa + Pouncers are nice indeed, though if you really want to know, I believe the belt + Legs are the best for single target (marginally though, so I would almost never run with them). For trinkets it depends on your talent spec. CoF can work, so can Draught of Souls, but Nightbloom Frond is probably the best overall.
Hey Im kinds new to the game but how you put your bar from the 1 to = that long? And is there a way to use the other bard in the top with the keyboard? Thanks!
Still extremely new to Feral, and I have a question; how did you get your shred to cost so little energy and/or increase your maximum energy pool? I can only get off three shreds before running out of energy, and was just wondering how you managed to do that.
Hey, Olfis! I know that in order to execute these guides properly, you'll need speed and comfortable key binds. I'm having problems doing my keybinds, do you think you could do a guide on keybinds? I try to learn but it's just not working. Thanks
Hey! Had a quick question. I'm still leveling my Druid, currently at 102, but whenever I use Shred, it takes nearly half of my Energy pool to use it, and end up Energy starved super quick. I know Berserk reduces the amount of energy used by 50% but, outside of it, I run out super fast. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
you level i have few ideas when the mobs die fast use predator (reset tigers fury when you kill a enemy that has a bleed from you) or soul of the forest energy after a combofinisher like rip or bite.
Thanks bro nice guide. I still get yelled at in mythics for my dps sucking but I think i'm doing it right. 894 ilvl. need some of your mastery gear i think
On average, mastery isn't any better than the other stats, and for mythics, it's usually a worse stat. You should be able to output respectable numbers in mythics too, are you sure you're using the right talents, like Predator or Brutal Slash?
Yeah I went with the builds from icy veins, so i'm trying savage roar jagged wounds and bloodtalons. dps mockery in mythics is from bosses, not group fights, so i am not trying to aoe packs. the thing i didnt have the other day was bloodletter's frailty + concordance, so I should be better now. also people are jerks in mythics so whatever
you can BT at 5 CP and Rip before you Rake. Snce Rake duration isn't very long especially with JW it's good to refresh throughout the rotation. It gives CP and it's a low energy cost
Wow this is so wrong. You usually refresh Rake it if it has less than 30% of its duration left and your new application isn't going to be weaker than the one currently on the target. You refresh for the damage of the dot, not the combo points it provides. The reason for this is that you basically cannot turn combo points into more damage as a feral, if you already have your dots rolling.
man I played feral for 6 yrs and raided hardcore in WOTLK heroic raids. I used to be in top spots on single target bosses (even with worse gear). Now on 858 ilvl I manage 270k dps tops. I think my rotation skills are totally fine but 270k is way too low, my mate with 845 used to make 320k on enha shaman on training dummy...would U be so kind to check my char and advise what am I doing wrong? I have 25 artifact lvl tho... (horde Noctornus of Drak`thul)
Feral is just higher skill cap, more gear dependent and harder to cheese AOE with than most if not all other melee. Also if I recall Feral was brokenly OP in WOTLK that's why you were top.
all these resources management and still low dps. well i wanted to try druid (feral) class for a change but after watching this nice and brief guide i decided to try some other class.
sucks for you mate, this guy plays a lot of pvp but its clear he doesnt do much pve. sorry this video misguided you into rerolling, feral is in the best spot its been for pve since WOD
I've watched at least 5 different rotations and have 881ilvl but for some reason I always do the lowest dps as feral I even have a legendary ring with enchantments & gem but nothing seems to work does any one know what the problem is? I'm honestly a bit tired of people saying to watch rotation videos this was the best one I've seen but still I do no dmg when compared to others. If any one knows what a solution would be please tell me.
so it's all about buffing your bleeds. I was hoping or rather expecting the rotation to be more so towards buffing your fero.bite and rake/rip was something to dump excess CP into.
Adrian Anderson You want to buff rip and rake as best as you can as they are the main damage abilities, ferocious bite should only be used under 25% and even when buffed doesn't do as much damage as rake and rip will when buffed for their duration
It's more then buffing your bleeds. This guide is not the best one. Feral druids need the best bleeds by buffing them. But you need to pool energy and refresh high duration rip so you can get that ashmane's bite proc. you only use FB if you have the legendary gloves. if not you can't afford use a FB because you're running out of energy. the ones who are using gloves it's a gamble using FB above 25%. After the target is 25% you want the strongest bleeds. and after that just FB and never need to worry about buffing your rip again. TL:DR Feral need to pool energy and have high duration of rip and proc ashmane's bite.
If by casual you mean someone who does not have a lot of time to learn, then I would recommend anything but feral, because feral is top three/four hardest spec in the game.
Serious Question.. from a raw dmg perspective, does the Guardian Druid atm do even more dmg then the Feral? I saw some Videos and read some complaining about that.. BS or fact? Speaking of kinda even equip Situation and "playerskill". Thx for Answer :-)
I hate FERALS rotation. It is hard to master and the reward is just not worth the headache xD Im talking about highest mythic content raiding rotation with changing adds, pooling your energy well for situations, considering how much combo points u have already etc. It really puts me off and I dont enjoy it in feral.
When Savage roar is within the last 5-10 seconds and you have a new Rip on the primary target in boss fights. You can use a bite right before refreshing Savage roar and going into your next Rip. Sometimes you will be able to but sometimes not
This spec is extremely unforgiving when it comes to making errors. The playstyle is very fast because bleeds are always falling off and prioritizing bleeds when blood talons is up is critical in maximizing dps. I've seen all kinds of feral druids perform badly because they aren't doing a correct rotation. Good guide to help those that are struggling. There can definitely be moments when you have a lot of things to hit and you're like "shit, what do I hit now!". But practice makes near perfect.
Hey man, nice vid, but from a Mythic Raiding 8/10 Feral's perspective a lot of the stuff in this vid is straight up wrong or at least suboptimal. I mean no offence, since there's barely any feral druid content on UA-cam, this is decent to learn the spec, but not at all indepth or very well researched (a simple look at icy veins would've corrected a few mistakes). But off of the top of my head here's some corrections for any aspiring feral druid: - That's a really bad opener, you want to go Regrowth, Prowl, Rake, Berserk, Savage Roar (with 1 or 2 CP depending on Rake crit), Tiger's Fury, Ashamane's Frenzy, Shred to 5CP, Rip (without a blood talons, unless you got really lucky from the 1-2 CP Savage Roar), then Blood Talons a Thrash, Rake, Shred to 5, Savage Roar and continue as you usual. - Don't refresh Rake and Thrash before 30% of the end of their duration. - Only ever use Ferocious Bite if the target is below 25% and you have a Tiger's Fury + Bloodtalons rip (max rip) active OR target is over 25% but you have a max rip active, a Shadow Rip active and at least 10 seconds on Savage Roar and both rips. Otherwise just refresh your rip at any duration (with BT) to get longer Shadow Rips. - Pool your energy to near full before using Rip or Savage Roar. - Use Tiger's Fury as often as possible but never cap on Energy. And there's many more things you have to do for big DPS. For more indepth stuff other than these pointers hit up icyveins or the druid discord.

i love my lil cat druid and iv been tryin to playaround with how to get my dps up I mostly dill with huge lag issues and ik tht plays horrid on dps but also I always miss the cooldowns and the energy I keep running low on cuase I'm trying to keep with the lag and the game but I guess I don't make a good cat and I always play cat with the driud or the tree heal lol and iv been playin scence lichking days tho I I'm not good with always changing atllents my cat is ßlackshadow and tryin to find an addon to help keep track of my bleeds but its a pain when I have to keep running around v.v guess I'm tryin to say this lil kitty needs help lol on yseara
I use KUI nameplates to keep track of bleeds on my targets, over time you will find the rotation to be easier and easier. Do not give up hope :D Gear on up and get that artifact weapon filled in!
Good guide, but am i the only one who thinks that 600 vers is a bit underwhelming? At the moment i got many energyproblems with my feral druid and im on 900 gear.
Meow! Thanks for the help, Olfis! Hey, just transferred to Darkspear. Can you invite my feral if you see him online? Name is Finngael. Thanks and keep the awesome information coming! Meows!!!
Thank you I just came back to the game wow it feels so different lol but please feel free to add me up the name is papajojo thank you so much I def sub great video

love your work man keep it up. i was wondering if you could make a video on Raiding as feral, my dps tanks when i have to deal with mechanics.
Thx im kinda lost with my feral, this helps a lot.
thanks for uploading this I'm currently leveling my druid to 110 (he's only 95 ATM)so this will help heaps
+DiggityTheOG almost there man 😄
Thank you so much for your great guid it's the best i've seen
about the artifact tree, the best way to go is to get the all the good old traits too 4 then go for the new epic trait
With Convergence of Fates, many sims (including my own) show that Incarnation is better than Savage Roar. It makes the rotation a ton easier too I feel as you can spend more time using Rip and Ferocious Bite as your finisher
naw maybe if you 880 but all the ferals ive seen simm higher with SR even with a CoF me included
Great guide man
its not

+Geoffery Howard lol I'll try to work some of that in soon, just with the 7.2 hype I'm working on a bunch of other stuff at the moment :P
hello there,
what are the addons that you are using?
Thank you for the video! Do you by chance know a place you can see what trinkets compare to each other? Also with 7.2 out did that change our BiS legendary combo?
+Shane Frost luffa and pounders are great along with ring for legendaries. Convergence of fate is a great trinket from nighthold

What is the addon u use above ur healthpool to see which spells to cast in a rom ?
i just got [Ailuro Pouncers] i imagine this will help alot with the bloodtalons :)
GOGO FERAL SPANISH HERE
What iLvL is your toon? i constantly find myself running out on energy even doing the basic rotation
What is the rotation helper you are using?
what is the addon for that actionbar
whats the addon that displays your rotation above your name
Subscribed, thanks man, but pls you should do Russian subtitles pls , I hope)) nice guide
Does the legendary ring buff of free soul of forest change this rotation?
Great guide. Would you still advise Savage Roar > Rip > Fercious Bite? Even when the target isn't below 25%.
Thanks!
noel95luv if you are using jagged wounds (and should be) only cast fb on berserk
Bowleta2 Ok thank you! I will practice that on bosses.
for pve: Feral or Monk ww? Any suggs?

3rd in mythic NH is really low? lol learn to play baddie

Just wondering... How do you have so much energy? (New to feral druid) So far i'm only capped a 100.
so it's all about buffing your bleeds. I was hoping or rather expecting the rotation to be more so towards buffing your fero.bite and rake/rip was something to dump excess CP into.

you didnt include the artifact weapon in your opener but overall a good guide
do u recommend feral druid for a casual pve player like me? @pve wise
If by casual you mean someone who does not have a lot of time to learn, then I would recommend anything but feral, because feral is top three/four hardest spec in the game.
I see your video made me wanna play feral druid! great guide too
Good day! Any chance you would want to show someone how to play in game?
Serious Question.. from a raw dmg perspective, does the Guardian Druid atm do even more dmg then the Feral? I saw some Videos and read some complaining about that.. BS or fact? Speaking of kinda even equip Situation and "playerskill". Thx for Answer :-)
CrypticX1 guardian should pretty much never out damage feral unless your doing something really wrong as a feral
feral DPS guide every patch/xpac ever : shred, and shred a lot
it was a joke...
Because for me with 100 energy it's way more hard to keep all the bleeding
I hate FERALS rotation. It is hard to master and the reward is just not worth the headache xD Im talking about highest mythic content raiding rotation with changing adds, pooling your energy well for situations, considering how much combo points u have already etc. It really puts me off and I dont enjoy it in feral.
u dont use the "Bite" with Points ? right ?
When Savage roar is within the last 5-10 seconds and you have a new Rip on the primary target in boss fights. You can use a bite right before refreshing Savage roar and going into your next Rip. Sometimes you will be able to but sometimes not
OlfisOG ok :) Thx i'll try.
this rota is new to me :D so its Kind hard to learn 😂😓
spam dungeons for awhile and you'll get used to it pretty quick :D
OlfisOG I Hope so :D
But off of the top of my head here's some corrections for any aspiring feral druid:
- That's a really bad opener, you want to go Regrowth, Prowl, Rake, Berserk, Savage Roar (with 1 or 2 CP depending on Rake crit), Tiger's Fury, Ashamane's Frenzy, Shred to 5CP, Rip (without a blood talons, unless you got really lucky from the 1-2 CP Savage Roar), then Blood Talons a Thrash, Rake, Shred to 5, Savage Roar and continue as you usual.
100% agree coming from a 9/10m feral, sad to see people losing confidence in feral after watching this video, misinformation like this is how we get the "feral sucks " to begin with
@rabadons deathcap Roll up into random M+ Pugs in Moonkin form so they don't kick me T_T. Still out DPS most of those fuckers. 912 iLvl and I still get kicked from M+ groups before we start 25% of the time, just for being Feral, it's silly isn't it.
so... where are the corrections?
Btw m8 , i don't think this is really relevant and correct me if i'm wrong but in the opener shouldn't be savage roar and then berserk so u don't lose like taht 1 or 2 sec of berserk?
Where is the correction? i wanna learn
Its impossible to use this rotation without legendary ring that add 100 focus. but still good video. cheers
What I struggle alot with is downtime...
i love my lil cat druid and iv been tryin to playaround with how to get my dps up I mostly dill with huge lag issues and ik tht plays horrid on dps but also I always miss the cooldowns and the energy I keep running low on cuase I'm trying to keep with the lag and the game but I guess I don't make a good cat and I always play cat with the driud or the tree heal lol and iv been playin scence lichking days tho I I'm not good with always changing atllents my cat is ßlackshadow and tryin to find an addon to help keep track of my bleeds but its a pain when I have to keep running around v.v guess I'm tryin to say this lil kitty needs help lol on yseara
I use KUI nameplates to keep track of bleeds on my targets, over time you will find the rotation to be easier and easier. Do not give up hope :D Gear on up and get that artifact weapon filled in!
Lol ty
Good guide, but am i the only one who thinks that 600 vers is a bit underwhelming?
At the moment i got many energyproblems with my feral druid and im on 900 gear.
dammm they made savage raor and stuff use more energy
I hate that savage roar cost both energy and combo points, it's not even a minor amont either...
austin kha it's pretty easy to manage though
yea they made it a pain in the ass. need CP or energy for literally everything. can't do shit without either.
You have 200 energy ?
It's from the legendary ring. But really it's not that good, because 100 energy is enough to keep your dots up.
Dmg#11760 im a mythic feral main, would love to get in touch with you about some points to make in your next video about feral
u got a lazy macro on this?
Meow! Thanks for the help, Olfis! Hey, just transferred to Darkspear. Can you invite my feral if you see him online? Name is Finngael. Thanks and keep the awesome information coming! Meows!!!
Miaou
shred shred shrek rip rick suck my D***onut
No Mythic 15 skin? :( feelsbadman
also why are you explaining what route to go on the artifact? It's 7.2 lol
hes bad
Tome* not tomb
