  • There are many Iron Mountain Road videos out there, but how many cover the whole thing in just 4 minutes? Well, now you have one. Fasten your exploration seatbelts and grab a trashcan if you get motion sickness, cause we’re about to embark on a nauseating journey through the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Absolutely gorgeous but I don't know if my belly can take it. We live near Spearfish Canyon which I think I can 'consider' a straight road in comparison??? 🤣

Spearfish Canyon is absolutely beautiful from the pictures I'm looking at. Still curvey, but I guess that's all relative. 😂

Hi, dear! Thank for posting the video. May I ask what part of the clip that you drove over the pigtails of the highway? I really want to know what it is😊

Hi, So Trum - here is a link to that area. goo.gl/maps/ke1iyZNw6s14kVoa6 Google Maps has pictures of this area too. Hope this helps!

Would a compact economy sedan handle this road well? Narrow width and low height is a plus, but kinda concerned about our meager 5 inches of ground clearance.

Hi, Kevin - Yes, I don't see why most cars would have a problem on this road. I filmed this years ago (I think back in 2016), but at the time, the road was completely drivable by pretty much anything. I hope this helps and good luck!

Hi, Marcel! This was taken from a Tahoe. The reason it looks like it's so far up in the air is because I had the camera attached to the roof rack. Plenty of room to spare height-wise. I do recall the road/tunnels being quite narrow in some places, so I know it would be a bit more difficult to take our truck through. Hope this helps!
