- Take a nice and relaxing hike with me to Black Elk Peak! Black Elk Peak is the highest peak in South Dakota, and you can see for miles from the lookout tower at the very top. Usually this is a very busy trail, but during the off-season, you can skip the crowds and really enjoy all that the trail has to offer!

I really enjoy your videos. My wife and i hiked it in 2006 for the last time. We are now older and I know we could not physically do it anymore.

Great video, showing enough trail and sights to entice but not enough to be a spoiler. SD tourism should link to you do a good job selling the trails.
My wife and I do hike a lot out there now. We spent to many years viewing the Hills from the car seat. we really enjoy the walk now!

I’d really like to see some signage up top that helps identify various landmarks. Mt. Coolidge has something with their viewing stands with compass bearings to use to see various parts of the Black Hills.
Yes! I agree that would be very helpful. There is a similar map/sign at mount Roosevelt that really helps with identifying the landmarks.
