I'm such a fan of Talos, the amount of courage it takes to do what he does,
The show is doing a great job making us feel what he feels.
I have a feeling that Gravik was literally raised by fury, that’s why he is so good and also he is an natural soldier. And when he was raising his voice at talos, it was like yelling at his uncle. Because Gravik is so calm with his army, because he is in control, when he is around fury or talos he’s petty, spiteful, and raising his voice like he’s yelling. As if he’s mad at his two dads
also, Rhodey called Fury "Nick" last episode. And now we know thak nobody calls Fury "Nick"
I mean, a lot of people have called him Nick throughout the MCU

Tbh, Talos is waaaay beyond helping Fury. He know Fury didn't kept his words, he knows Fury used them for the past 30 yrs as the spy, he gave up his wife and now his daughter for his war and yet he's still a good friend and helping him. Fury will never be out of his debt to this man.
Sam L and Ben M are killing it with their chemistry and scenes. Try not to put a stop watch on it. Come on now, seriously🤐
I think the reason Fury's wife was unable to just call to ask to be with Fury in space is because their marriage is a secret to even skrulls.
I don’t think G’iah is really dead. She’s smart enough to know they change upon death and did that to help fake her death to Gravik. Also, we’ve seen more clips of her in trailers.

Gravik, for a "ruthless terrorist leader" is really sloppy this episode. Should've shot her in the head too for good measure. Feel like that's something he'd do. Or maybe even run over her body with the car.

I don’t think she is dead. Though if she is, I think the emotional weight we feel from that would come when Talos finds out.

I don't think G'iah's dead at all. It was played out the way it was because I think she shape shifted into the body of a Skrull that's been shot that she's previously seen. If you look at the promo material of her in Skrull form, she doesn't look like the Skrull that's lying there dead. Whether she's wearing a bulletproof vest, or is just holding on for dear life until Gravik to go away. 100% her faking her death though.

Gravik was extra big in his scene cause he's a Super Skull now. That's how he was able to regenerate

Now Talos knows the mistake he made when he first shapeshifted into agent Keller. He called Fury "Nick". Gi'ah's death shocked me, I didn't think it would go that route. I think she panicked which is why she drove fast out of the new Skrullos. Gravik had his headlights off so the car would not be seen from afar. It would have been better to go through the woods, even ditch the motorcycle since it would make noice.
I tell yo guys, the day isn't too far away when Fury does the say what again speech to someone😆.
This episode made me feel something that I’ve *never* felt with an MCU project before, which is actually feeling really bad when the nameless goons get killed.
Because I’m so invested in Talos as a character, the set up of the last two episodes makes it so I really feel bad about every Skrull who dies. I really empathize with Talos just really wanting to treat all of his kind as humanely as it can, and it makes the bit where he shoots Bob really stand out.
Talos is such a great character, dude.

People are all over Fury for leaving earth but sometimes you get to the point where you have to take care of your own mind first.

I don’t think anyone is upset that he needed to take time off, it’s more that he just took off without saying anything to anyone. That’s where the abandonment feelings come from. If he just said, hey I’m not okay, give me some time, I think most people would understand. But he just disappeared on people and wouldn’t say anything, that lack of communication is the problem.
series is so good. wish it was ten episodes. hope its not rushing towards the end
I guess everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Personally I'd give this series as 6.5/10 so far. I was hyped when I heard it was coming out but like most marvel shows/movies recently it has been a complete let down

That phone call at the end confirmed my suspicions that it wasn't really Rhodey in the previous episode. There's no way the real Rhodey would've spoken to Fury like that, especially after everything they've been through.

when you mention the rule of thirds iwas like "THAT"S IT! THAT"S WHAT"S BEEN BOTHERING ME!"... i've been thinking about this for all the episodes. That and that theyv'e been very close talking. think of talos as the woman on train talking to the guards, or young fury talking to talos or that woman, and other scenes just were odd, such as the one where talos grabs gravik or when fury gets in rhoadey's face. it's like shaking and strangely filmed i felt. makes me think of MIB when the roach alien was wearing the human skin
What a damn good episode. This show continues to deliver on the tone and the seriousness.
While the first two episodes were better overall, I still thought this episode was good. While I've come to acclimate to the MCU Disney Plus episode format of 6 episodes, I also continue to wish for a bit more episodes to have things fully fleshed out.
The very tense interaction between Talos and Gravik was incredible. Ben Mendelsohn and Kingsley Ben-Adir delivered amazing points for why they do what they think must be done for the advancement of the Skrulls.
Kingsley, in my opinion, is turning in one hell of a performance as Gravik. His eyes, his body language, the way he speaks and his actions impress me greatly.
Also, Super Skrulls are coming! Also also, looks like Rhodey IS a Skrull???? Also also also, I don't believe that G'iah is dead. Ain't no way you cast Emilia Clarke only to get clapped halfway through the show.
We're halfway done with this series, and I can't wait for the next episode.

9:10 Why did 'Bob' care about the son when he is not the real Bob at all? He could have simply killed Talos then Nick Fury alone couldn't have stopped the order 🤔
First of all in Far From Home, Talos said to Soren disguised as Nick & Hill that "I thought Kree having sleeper cells is Top Secret information".
Second, Skrulls can't hang out even in Shield because they are kept a secret from everyone.
Lastly Fury doesn't want anybody to know he has a wife, specially someone who can shape shift and is a part of alien species that have invaded earth.
Remember In Age of Ultron, when everyone was shocked to see Barton had a family let alone a wife he said "Yeah, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files.
I'd like to keep it that way."
Same applies for Fury as well. SHIELD does not know he is married.
All the 19 Skrulls that worked for Fury was always in disguise, not giving it away they are not who they are.
In exchange Fury promised the group to find a home with Carol, but they have not kept their part of the deal that sets all this in motion.

I suspect Emilia Clarke is going to survive somehow. Normal rule for a character dying, they only die in front of a character who can react to it. Maria Hill died in Nick Fury's arms, she's dead. Writers don't tend to waste character deaths like that, if she dies she dies in front of her dad.
Maybe the trend will be bucked this time, or maybe Gaia isn't enough of a character for this rule to apply.
You have a very limited sense of story if you think that's a rule...

I still don't get the Fury being gone means everyone should become terrorists narrative, it seems more like the skrulls were always quite violent people themselves and that's why they're homeless in the first place. Like how Gravik is saying humans are murderous, yet he's done nothing but kill, even his own people since we've seen him. And the wife could've just left him instead of now helping the rebels it seems. Also don't think Giah is dead.
The show has said that they do seek war.

This episode just wasn't it for me. Talos killing Bob just out of rage when he knew we needed him just seems so silly to me especially when he was so sad about Fury killing a Skrull that was actively kicking his ass. Gaiah being able to get access to the real Bob and figuring out the pass code was also just very unrealistic and was just too "super easy, barely an inconvenience".
Plus she's obviously not dead. They're not gonna kill off Emilia Clarke after 3 episodes. Plus trailers have even shown her confront Fury so there's that.
Talos did it cause he brought up his daughter and his parenting which from what we’ve seen doesn’t take lightly

@@jager3090 Dude, he wouldn't have risked world war 3 by shooting the guy if he didn't have a backup plan which was having his daughter risk blowing her cover. They weren't going to get anything from Bob and he knew that. They didn't have time for a long interrogation since they literally had a few minutes left. You're nitpicking over nothing. Of course, Giah would be able to get the code because they have the real Bob in the facility where she is. Your problem is you think Talos or the writers are just dumb and wouldn't know something like that.
Perhaps it was "super easy" on purpose. Gravik reveals that the actual plan was to flush her out as a mole. He didn't care whether or not the airstrike got thwarted. If it got thwarted, G'iah burns herself. If it's thwarted, World War III begins.
Rhodey is not a scrull Fury's wife is a double agent.

Yeah episode 3 felt a little off though good was off. I feel like this is another show where while feeling like winter soldier a little they are also trying new things and some of that is a little I wanna not polished to where it works the best. Idk how the show will play out but this is interesting.
Now my question is and I hope we find out when did Rhodes get switched cause I really hope it was after endgame and not before...

Yeah G'iah is not dead; you don't get Emilia Clarke for a major role and kill her off this early. My prediction is it will have been a fakeout on her part, and she goes crawling to the Super Skrull machine (which was not what all those humans were hooked up to, but the big spinny thing) and uses it to give herself a power boost that includes healing. After all, they've established that she knows about the machine. OR, even better, she will have already given herself powers, and she heals from the GSW after Gravix leaves.
I'm disappointed that the rumours about this episode didn't turn out to be true, but it was an INTENSE episode. Can't wait for what happens next. Ok and now watching the reaction I just realized that the guy on the phone was Rhodey (I watch it dubbed), holy crap.

I don't think the point is the wife wanted to chase Nick. She gets him back and he never visits or contacts her? Why would she go out of her way to chase him. If he wants to run away from everything they had then she figured she would also leave that behind and she seemed to be a bit on Gravik's side likely out of wanting the best for her people but also a bit of bitterness toward Nick for his actions.

Skrulls can tell each other apart even in their human form, so if they saw G'aia walking around with a different face, it would raise more suspicion then if she just snuck out and she won't be able to make up a lie that would convince Gravick. Even though the lie didn't work, it was still a better attempt then had she been caught with a different face imo

@@__Nightmare_ they explained in episode 1 that if Skrulls use their Human face and gets their mannerism(whatever criteria) right that they might not be able to tell them apart but since Gravick(and other Skrulls who have seen her a lot) and G'aia work together they might be able to tell each other apart. I am not saying you're wrong. That's just how i am justifying it in my head, hence i wrote "imo" at the end of my comment

Gravik have allready the power of Extremis from Iron Man 2 and is closer to be a Super Skrull like the Super Skrull from the comics with all the fantastic four powers.

I think because she’s a really new character, and that there have been a ton of trailer shots with her in them that haven’t been in the show yet, and it kinda shows she not really dead.

Jaby. Script writers focus on plot and at best make suggestions for roles. Background characters don’t always get to speak. I’m not arguing against your point, I’m just saying scripts are just what they are. Maybe the casting did the best it could to be inclusive while aiming for peak production and performance.
That’s pretty much it. I hope you get what you want. Also maybe there’s some good in the saying be the change that you want to see. You’re doing pretty good with that. What would you like to do in a movie if you had the opportunity?
I appreciate your perspective. I think my feeling is perhaps pedestrian. You cast an Asian dude just to look inclusive without actually giving him anything to do but be a woke prop. It's weird. But you're right, I'm not taking into consideration the complexities of developing the story and doing everything that speaks to that. I'm hyper focused on a weird little thing. But that's kind of my personality. I do the same exact thing with editing on moments most people won't even notice.

Things being predictable doesn’t equate to being bad. It just means things are happening as the story should be.

After 3 episodes I was starting to be a little disappointed that Fury was looking like nothing more than a user and just an all around ass******. So I have to give Samuel Jackson credit cause instead of letting his character go down looking like a broken man he actually embraced this and turned it around. Yea I'm not a nice guy and that is what makes me Nick Fury dammit so deal with it lol! Good job Samuel 👍🏻👍🏻

Shows not nearly as good as you think 😭😭 doesn't deserve a 9 or even an 8, however i'd say episode 3 wasn't a 5/10 more like a 6/10 😂
