My favorite part of this entire show was Olivia Coleman’s character. She played that role so well
I think this was the best acted mcu show. Everyone was on their a game. My only complaint is 6 episodes 35-40 minutes isn’t enough
she is the very good.....in everything
She's basically what Fury should've been in this show.
I was disappointed in this episode and the series overall! You give Gravick super powers in hopes of Killing him! I also don't think he would lost to Gi'ah since he was raised as a soldier of war! It was very anticlimactic for me and a waste of a lot of talented actors!
@@blacprophet1153 In Swedish we have the expression "motivation beats class" (fits better than "hard work beats talent" in most cases) - i.e. if someone has more to fight for, they can surprisingly often beat someone who appears to be more skilled, but is so-so on motivation to fight.
Gravik is a skilled fighter, but he is ultimately just a frustrated and angry person, without a clear goal beyond "get a planet for his people", which he could really do anywhere in the galaxy. G'iah wanted revenge for both her parents' deaths and was finally alone with the person responsible for them - and who really didn't want to have to kill them - on relatively equal terms, when it comes to powers. She simply had more to fight for.
Emilia Clarke never gets the plaudits her versatility warrants. love her so much !!!
Emilia Clark would be awesome Captain Marvel
@@subject166 she isn’t and that’s that.
She’s an average actress, that’s it😂
she was very Meh in this.. her character didn't require much acting anyway
@@DarthKay093*10 years later*
What Achara said about why Gravik did not kick "Fury" out of that machine is correct. Gravik expected Fury to die , so he did not kill him himself. But I understand why Jaby feels off about it. They did not make the scene clear enough, either expecting audience to fill the gaps or just did not do it.
"For GODS/gods sake man! Can't you see that 'twas G'iah that saved the day with her... ACTING!!!"
"BRILLIANT!"
"THANK YOU!"
Yeah Gravik said "You really want to die, don't you?" He even crushed his radiation pills.
@@Destyn2b I would say "G'aih" was using method and thinking of something that made her really "feel" sick, but I don't know of anything that makes a "Skrull" sick. And the physicality? MMMwah! Pure Chekov.
In all seriousness the clue to "us" was the little "dust" monologue. We saw "Nick" dusted and we know what he was feeling. "Mutha fu..."
yeah the show should have tell this to the audience before
The machine is a radiation exposure chamber. Any regular human will die in like a few minutes if exposed by that much radiation in that short amount of time anyway. There was no reason for Gravik to kick Fury out.
That's why Gi'ah had to reveal herself soon after because if she kept getting beat, it would have anyway blown her cover.
"BOOM! You lookin' for me?"
The most clever way to feature many cameos was showcasing a large combination of powers. G'iah and Sonja will return for sure.
Ritson's screw up may set up his replacement by Thunderbolt Ross.
You are two of my favorite pals from the internet. When you two are together things just go better. Great chemistry.
Based on Rhodey’s hospital robes and him being not able to walk immediately. I think he was abducted after Civil War which makes it kinda dark. He has no idea that his best friend is no more and the avengers are history.
Someone said Rhodey stopped using the leg supports from FATWS, so it's speculated that Skrulldey was already in place by that point in time. He could've been in hospital regularly for routine physiotherapy, so it's quite easy to plan his abduction and Raava's infiltration ahead of an upcoming physio appointment.
@@thegreatjedi309 could be
but why did they abduct him while at civil war fury was still keeping his word with skrulls so no point in a rebel
Gravik didn't have his plan or evil intentions until after End Game where he was helping to collect DNA, so it was sometime after that.
@@thegreatjedi309 That seems to be the implication, that he was abducted not long after his injury in Civil War
I just realized that the actor who plays Gravik is also in the Barbie movie where he plays one of the Kens. Haha.
Watched the barbie movie last weekend and it kept knawing on me as to why one of the Kens aside from Gosling and Liu looked super familiar
He's also gonna play Bob Marley
I suspect that Gravik and Gi'ah don't passively possess every Avenger ability 24/7. It seems that they must consciously activate it (and transforming into it where relevant) to use it. So, it seems that they can only simultaneously activate as many powers as their minds and body can manage. If you can blast through Gravik's brain or heart while it's insufficiently protected, and prevent him from activating regeneration powers, that should be able to kill him. That's probably the case here: the entire heart is gone, the blood isn't pumping, the shock of the pain overwhelms, so his mind wasn't able to summon up the will to activate Extremis before he's fully gone.
ALSO: Tony killed one of the Extremis-enhanced Goons in Iron man 3 the exact same way on the President's Airplane when he blew a hole through his chest using the Uni-beam from his arc reactor. I just imagined that its the same way with Gravik that if you deliver an instant-killing blow then he's done for.
I love it when I find hidden gem comments like this. That was a really good explanation for what was probably happening. You WOULD only be able to concentrate on so many things at once. Especially considering that they JUST got those powers and have no practice using them yet.
The writers were definitely not paid well enough for this one😂
Now I can't wait for the PITCH MEETING
"So Fury stole the Avengers DNA, and gave it to aliens, and now he's left and gone to outer space?" - Studio Exec.
"Well, uhm, yes." - writer.
"Betraying the Avengers and all of humanity is....TIGHT!" - Studio Exec.
i wonder how Carol must feel once she finds out her dna and many others have been collected. She seems pretty chill with Nick Fury in The Marvels trailer
Consequences ain't a thang with shared story telling when writers pay no mind to each other.
Dr Strange, ignored everything he stood for and believed in order to destroy all of reality so Parker could get in MJ panties, lol.
Wong - *went on vacation* so he could peace out and let this happen.
Wanda is just a mass murder psycho for no real reason.
Kang is trapped because he can't fix his time machine without 1000 year old technology that he and his empire are unable to develop, cuz.....
They should just change MCU to STPCH - So The Plot Can Happen.
@@summertyme5748😂
@summertyme5748 Could you elaborate on that Dr. strange point? I'm a bit confused.
@@summertyme5748What? Wanda was corrupted by the DarkHold which turns ppl evil who ever used it. It will make them achieve their goal whatever it takes and that what Wanda did but at the end she killed herself. That is a real reason.
@@summertyme5748I can really tell that u dislike Marvel for simply not watching the movies with your eyes open bc what u said about the whole Dr.Strange situation is just wrong. When Cumberbatch speak with The Hollywood Reporter, He asserts that the usually prickly Doctor Strange was thinking with his heart more than his head when he cast a spell for Peter's request, to wipe the memory of everyone who knew that Peter Parker was Spider-Man but that didn't age well.
Some ppl like you forgets that Peter interrupts the spell so many times, and that's what corrupted it. That's what lets it in. Peter affects the spell with his words. It's was never Strange's fault, it was Peter's. If you actually you watch the movie you'll know that instead of saying he was trying to get into MJ panties like what?
And i thought She-Hulk was bad😂😂
“its not a bad VFX on purpose”, lol thanks achara for reminding us that..
Both of em had same power and somehow she defeated him...
Fury started as a war hero , super spy , with a past that made him into badass and then turned him into a fuckingg baboon
I expected Nick Fury to become super human at that moment
Is it just me or the finale isn't so good? Everything seems rushed, the first episode was 50 minutes and the last one is now 37
After all of the credits it's a barely 30 minute episode which is a joke for a series finale. As usual Disney spent most of the budget on a CGI fight in the final episode. At this point Marvel shows are becoming so predictable especially the endings.
I was disappointed in this episode and the series overall! You give Gravick super powers in hopes of Killing him! I also don't think he would lost to Gi'ah since he was raised as a soldier of war! It was very anticlimactic for me and a waste of a lot of talented actors!
Isn't that like every other mcu show...other than Loki, I don't like any of the mcu shows so far.
Its underwhelming
@@dsfddsghit’s unbelievable that a marvel show only has enough budget for ONE mediocre-looking cgi fight. It’s ridiculous
I hate the way those powers cant be shared with humans😮
I liked that G’iah was the one who fought Gravik. She’s the one who had the most personal stakes in that fight, since he murdered her parents. The giant hole in the chest was shown in Ironman 3. Extremis can repair superficial damage. It can’t repair I stand death. It’s not that the heart was injured, the heart was gone. It’s a bit like pulling the cord on a computer.
My guess is that this is setting up Captain America: Brave New World. The Marvels happens immediately after Ms Marvel, which is before Secret Invasion. Seeing how Rhody was in a hospital gown, he may have been taken some time after his injury in Civil War. Wish we were given a bit more clarity on that detail. Hope we don’t need to wait for Armor Wars to get answers on that.
It is already been stated by Sam Jackson that the Marvels takes place after Secret Invasion. Just FYI.
@@blenderjunkyrizThe issue with that is that Ms Marvel’s end credits ties directly into The Marvels. All the Skrull chaos doesn’t play into anything happening in Ms Marvel.
Idk why it's so hard to understand when Rhodey was abducted, We clearly hear Fury say that Gravik was the one who went with a team to collect the DNA after the endgame battle. So it's pretty clear it was only after Endgame that things started to change and that's when Rhodey must've been abducted.
President of the United States: "All offworld-born species are now enemy combatants."
Several thousand Asgardians and assorted alien guests of New Asgard: "..."
Peter Quill: "Hey Granddad? Do I have a birth certificate around here anywhere?..."
quill wouldn't qualify as off-world born species. he was born on earth and is half human. new asgardians on the other hand.......
@@lilbrownbear yeah, but he needs to be able to prove it because he's biologically half alien and hasn't been on the planet since 1980, hence the birth certificate.
I wouldn't be surprised if New Asgard has some kind of special status on Earth, like their village might be officially considered non-terran soil like an embassy or something. I'm hoping they elaborate on this soon.
G'hia is the strongest and most powerful super skrull of all. And I'm glad to know that emilia clark will be more time in marvel. 💗💗💚💚
Hello guys. Based on what the real Rhodey was wearing I think he was replace around the events of Civil War.
this finale was a JOKE. exactly what she hulk finale made fun of. i absolutely HATED the Gravik-Ga'iah power ups and fight. So much of the story here needs us audience to stretch and fill the gaps somehow
"Iron Man 3" teaches us how to kill "extremis" level healing. They stuck to the cannon and "Gravik's" center was vulnerable. In the comics, from "Kl'rt" on, "Super Skrulls" seem to focus their powers through their arms and legs. Now... had "Gravik" and "G'iah" had "Deadpool's" (and possibly "Logan's") DNA as part of "The Harvest," the fight would have gone on forever and after reaching a state of complete exhaustion, they would have craved a pineapple and olive pizza, burned crust... and some "me" time... #driveby...
Gravik had already killed gaya and her father ... so how he would have thought that Nick fury will turn out as gaya.... Jaby you must realise that....
As a diehard fan even I have to admit that Marvel is losing me a little. Not only did Talos die for nothing with the way the president turned out to be but they turned his daughter into the most OP character in Marvel overnight. What's the point of bringing the Avengers back as a team when she is all of them plus some of the Guardians? Her and Carol on the same team would be overkill. Plus they threw away the spy thriller theme of the show by giving us the Superhero CGI fest fight scene with Gravik because they couldn't resist not giving us that for just the span of six episodes. 🤦♂️ Also, are they implying that Rhodes has been a Skrull since Civil War since he was in that same hospital gown when he damaged his spine just to ruin yet another emotional moment of him being there when Tony died? And Natasha? It's like them underwhelming the story of how Fury lost his eye with Captain Marvel. They just can't let a moment that's supposed to have a weight be without messing it up somehow. If that's what it took to beat Gravik then Fury should've called Carol episodes ago and most of this wouldn't have happened. Talos wouldn't have died, the president wouldn't have even had to know about any of this and even Maria Hill wouldn't have had to die. That excuse he used about not relying on Superheroes but he relied on Giah with her new superpowers from the Avengers at the last minute is just... 🤦♂️ I'm frustrated
this show is SO good that talos was in ONE THING before this show. and yet you say this. get it? amazing job imo!!!!!!!!!
@@junemichaels885 I didn't understand anything in this comment other than the word Talos.
@@junemichaels885 This show is garbage
Well Rhodes was using a machine to walk after civil war. Something he didn't have there, so it could still have been later that they supplanted him. Maybe just before Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
😂
She killed Gravik the same way Rhodey killed the Extremise infused goon on the plane in Iron Man 3, that worked. 😄
I don’t know if you noticed but Rhodey has been a skrull since civil war. He couldn’t walk. Meaning when vision took him out. The skrull replaced him since
That twist and punch from Fury was literally unexpected n felt soothing
Did nothing but made things worse
@@subojithaldar7879 nah. i know the youtubers will continue eviscerating the disney's or even amazon a lot of times, but this was a stunning ep imo
only thing worthy
Watching the Skrull on Skrull on super fight.
They start using Captain Marvel's powers.
Me: "You should use those powers more"
G'iah: Blasts a hole in Gravik's chest with Captain Marvel's powers.
Me: Good, alright then. I'm sure like, Groot's powers or something might come in handy, but in future when you have a fight, you should use Captain Marvel's powers.
In my opinion, Rhodey was replaced in Civil War by him still wearing the hospital gown while getting MRI scanned while Everett Ross was replaced after he got arrested in Wakanda Forever by Val and the one that Okoye rescued was already a skrull. Rhodes has a lot of catching up to do since he's not present since Infinity War.
It wasn't until after End Game for Rhodey. That is where Gravik started to hold some power and wasn't until after that he started to be hateful.
8:24 This should’ve been the thumbnail instead.😂
That "bad VFX on purpose" jibe and smile at the last... Ooh. Achara. No one saw that coming.
Roady is kidnapped since Civil War when he fell from sky and he was hospitalized ,as you can see he is in those white costume.
.
This tells that he don't knew about, infinity war, endgame and sadly Tony is dead 😢
I liked the series finale, though I think it should have been a longer episode. The effects were great, and the performances of the main cast were even better (specially Gravik's actor, Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke). The part when the US president basically declared war on the Skrulls and lots of people started killing pople randomly was a bit crazy, and I loved it, because up until that it seemed like the episode was going to end in typical "it all worked out in the end and the good guys won" Disney fashion.
They have access to the powers when they shape-shift into that character. When they haven't, they don't have that ability. It wasn't like comic based super skrull where all the fantastic four powers where present at the same time..
4:41 the green pills were a subtle sign that its not fury but a skrull
15:48
Remember Star Lord and Gamora?
Or Star Lord and The Pink Girl in the beggining of the first GOTG movie. .
it was crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason gravik died was in iron man 3 they explained that extremis could heal limbs but they couldn’t regenerate internal it’s how tiny killed Savin
Tony*
You can literally see giah stab gravik in chest and him healing right after
@@PranitKarne-rr8ow I’m going based off what Aldrich Killian said in iron man 3
And that’s how tony killed Savin but using his chest repulser and blowing a hole in him
As we know scrull can shapeshift
So its rudimentery that they can only attain the physiology from harvest and not the anatomy.
Not being satisfied with Kingsley Ben-Adir's acting until this episode is one of the wildest Secret Invasion takes I've heard, lmao. There is more to acting than yelling and being emotional 😅
I feel that's a really bad interpretation of his acting in THIS episode. He wasn't just yelling and being emotional. He went through a range of feelings and it all came through. This entire season, it wasn't absent of yelling and being emotional. He did that too. But his performance as a whole until this episode just didn't provide me anything I could feel or connect with.
@@CinePals the last line was just a joke because that scene is when you said it was finally good acting, but yes i do believe his acting was great throughout.
@@ericfilmsf8429I agree -- I think his acting was great throughout the series, and disagree with Jaby. But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
@@ericfilmsf8429 the switchup crazy
I agree I thought Sonya would just shoot Rhodey's leg, but she was definitely a standout in the series. I think they may be paving the way for X-men cause if humans start to hate super-powered people, then it makes sense how the X-men would be hated after the Avengers.
Samuel L. Jackson now joins:
Chris Pratt
Chris Pine
& William Shatner
in kissing a green woman.
Love it.
One of my biggest question is when did they get Ross?
May be he didn't kick Nick fury out of that machine was because may he thought that the machine may not give powers to humans , may be it is designed to give powers to skrulls only.
I am surprised Disney didn't put Barbie's and Rapunzel's DNA in the harvest.
So Gia’h now has all the powers of the most powerful beings in the Galaxy! She’s essentially like Cell from Dragon Ball Z, only she’s also a shapeshifter and a spy.
Also I hate to say it but the fact that all innocent Skrulls are now suffering the consequences for the actions of the few hostile extremists is far to close to real life. Fury did take advantage of the Skrulls but in the end he was right, humanity is far to fearful and hateful to coexist or even tolerate aliens. It really feels like a preamble to what will happen when mutants are introduced to the MCU.
And finally I’m so happy that the old Nick Fury is back and better than ever! Can’t wait to see him in The Marvels!
11:56 The answer - look at what he is wearing and then think of when the last time was you saw him wear a hospital gown.
Holy Shit! I thought Nick got all the Avengers power but then it was G'iah and it was even better!!! The mother of the dragon is now the mother of superheroes..
Her name got exponentially longer... 😂
@@tassila.altaiz3330 😂😂😂 intelligent joke
I am having a thought, Giah having all the avengers dna/power is same as When Kevin11 put hand on Ben's Omnitrix ✋
I imagine that Ritson's war on the Skrulls will spill over into at least one upcoming movie, The Marvels. Although, I'm not sure if that movie takes place before or after this one chronologically.
Realizing that Fury told Skrull Rhodey what he was going to do the entire time and didn't believe a word he said 🤣🤣🤣
The Super Skrull fight was cool because they were evenly matched so it came down to how creatively they could use the powers they had access too. Graavik was all about brute force. G’hia was more imaginative, like using Mantis’ powers to put him to sleep.
like really tho gravik was a trained killer and ghia just killed him
@@donvalladares6930she was also a trained killer though… 🙂
Now gia'h is one of the most powerfull being on mcu. If there is no plot armor, she can easily kills kang, and even scarlet witch. But don't know if she meets a cosmic being like celestials
The series was not bad, but it didn't meet the expectations either.
G'iah is now the strongest character in the MCU, unless they do some nerfing excuses later on. And the thing is, she will never really be a major character in the MCU. They just don't do that with side characters from their Disney+ shows. I really question their choices here.
I don't get how the skrulls got Hulk's powers, because Hilk's powers are based on gamma radiation and it said that the Skrulls were immune to radiation, so I though that they were not going to be able to replicate Hulk's powers.
It's blood just like how she hulk got it.
Over thinking this people.
@@tonyhertz7981people are trying to find something to cry about, don't mind them
The gamma radiation mutated Bruce, leading to his Hulk form and powers. What the Super Skrulls possess is the Hulk's DNA traits. Likely, the native Skrull form is immune to radiation, but transforming into Hulk allowed the transformed body parts to "benefit" from gamma radiation.
you copy and paste in every reaction
I think it was not about him not being as fast as he needs to be because of his age.
It's because, in real life, if you're guarding a superior - you would no longer check what happens to him after getting shot, you just shoot back at whoever shot him.
That last boss fight reminds me the spoof short film Jaby made "Dragon ball J"....
the moment i saw gravik using ebony maw magic i thought “they clearly have no idea how DNA works…” idk maybe maw telekinesis is just built in power or whatever… but most of hero even enemies power are trained and practiced abilities, and probably the DNA only holds the potential of the power. if maw was using magic that is totally something else… its like saying if you have doctor strange DNA you instantly use magic lol… i guess only hulk ability would be possible as you get it since its just brute force… btw it seemed they even had thanos dna… i guess now emily clark is one of the strongest entity is the MCU…
I didn't like what they did with the President and Nick Furry at the end. Nick didn't even mentioned about Talos (Skrull) who died fighting while saving the President and after saving the President twice, that news at the end is what he came up with. The thing that bother me the most is why didn't Nick said anything before that. It's just a bad writing overall this show. Disappointing ending.
Yeah, it was pretty weird how they never at least brought it up. The ep was really short - they had all the time in the world to put it in there.
THANKS for this, CinePals!!!!
its like the characters at the end said fuck a ww3, they went from the blip to an international purge looking for skrolls
Shoutout to the actor who plays Gravick….that dude put on one hell of a performance during his speech to Fury
yeah, strong welsh accent and all. 😄 apparently no payoff for gravik's sweet tooth though. just some humanizing (skrullifying?) character beat.
What if Ritson is somehow a Skrull?!
Until Disney changes the episode structure of their shows. We’re going to keep getting the same formula, 1st 2 episodes are longer & set up promise, then the last 2 episodes are shorter & rushed.
You get what exactly you pay for
Should have just got an AI to write the finale
I hate how guarded Jaby feels he has to be be in his review/critique of this Marvel show. I watch these reactions for the honest reviews on your experience, don’t let comments stop you from providing that. For me, I was really looking forward to this Marvel show as I wanted a more methodical, well thought out, serious tone to an MCU show. Sadly, for me this missed the mark. Whilst there were some good parts, too many aspects were inconsistent and just made no sense in the universe they’ve spent so long creating.
With all the planets Captain Marvel, The Guardians of the Galaxy and The Asgardians (Thor & Friends) have visited - one couldn’t be found suitable for the Skrulls??? Come on. A better plot device would’ve been one that required them to stay on Earth - i.e. The Kree said they’d kill Skrulls if they left Earth (Earth now becomes their only safe heaven).
Whilst the acting from was brilliant from the cast, the script simply didn’t provide enough. It’s likely due to the Disney+ format, but shows like WonderVision, Loki and Captain America and the Winter solider managed to provide really solid scripts that told incredible stories. It’s since then I believe the MCU has been on a rapid decline and as a fan of this universe its sad to see quality being sacrificed for quantity.
Captain Marvel saw the Garden Planet when they killed Thanos. She should have taken Skrulls there.
I hate to say this. But Ep 1 & 2 showed promise but honestly they really shouldn’t have brought in the Harvest many OP Characters. Like I just feel that Gi’ah is ridiculously OP now! I just hope they somehow manage to extract it away from her and give all the Harvest remnants to Bruce since we know he loves to destroy any trace of dangerous DNA or Cells. It just felt so wrong for me personally to see them use Captian Marvels & Mantis powers. It was cool when they used somethings we haven’t seen in a long time but to take current characters powers like that just felt violating.
No we knew at the end episode 5 Fury calls G'hia
Fury is good at not calling the heroes until enough damage has been done.
During that Gravik-Fury confrontation, it felt like Gravik was reciting his line in a Stage play 😂 It's an okay finale for me tho. But the CGIs were just too obvious (Giah's arm when she first transformed really made me laugh. LMAO)
That arm did look a little ropey but the rest of the CGI was pretty darn good
@@CinePalsthe Drax arm was a bit weird🤣
I had the same thought about him having Hulk blood and not dying. But if you think about it, both Hulk and She-Hulk share a common gene and that could be the reason why Jennifer gets the blood and actually becomes She-Hulk. Plus, like Achara suggested, Gravik was not using the "Hulk power" at the time. Maybe it is like a game where the player can only use one gun at a time and has to rotate to use another gun...
Plus, I was also a little disappointed they didn't show Fury having a talk with Rhodey after...
Treating this episode as the TRUE ending of the excellent Avengers: Endgame (that's how I see it) just really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth... 😖
The ending of the series is chaos. this is more or less similar like Captain America: winter Soldier and civil war ending.
Now it's set for Captain America 4 leading great ground plot tackling the ground level threat.
When everything now is all cosmic, time travel, multiverse.
Okay, my take: Sonya didn’t shoot Rhodes because all she had to go on was Fury’s allegation. Remember, she has already questioned if he was “up for this fight” in episode 1. What if he was wrong and she shot the real Rhodey? Fury didn’t shoot because the president had a gun on him. It was only when Rhodes made the move on Sonya, which distracted the president’s and left the opening for Fury to take the shot.
@CinePals,
16:37 Fury gave the Harvest to G'iah, and she played Gravik into giving it to her. Talos was Fury's best friend and he couldn't protect him. G'iah was Fury's last hope and as an apology to her, he gave her powers to save her people from a maniac.
This series was just okay for me, but this finale was a bit ridiculous though amazing. Why did Feige okay giving G'iah and Gravik every power we've seen in the MCU up to this point? Why does DNA allow a Skrull to utilize the learned skills as though they are instinct? Why did Gravik actually grow Ebony Maw's rings on his fingers when he was channeling his magic? Why were Skrulls able to absorb Bruce's aggressive radioactive blood when they themselves are immune to radiation? Shouldn't their own immune system neutralize the gamma radiation that makes Bruce Hulk? G'iah is now the strongest being in the MCU and I don't think I'm okay with this. The only DNA this series needed, IMHO, was the one that started the Skrull's story, Carol Danvers', so why not isolate it down to that one.
Anyway, this series started strong and end weirdly, though that's partly my fault, I guess. We all started this series believing Fury was a super spy, and this series just told us that Fury was never that guy. Why retcon his story now? I was hoping for a twist, and we got one, but the twist I was expecting was the super spy twist that revealed that Maria Hill was alive and that the two of them were going to bring Gravik down, perhaps with the help of Monica and maybe even Vision. We got a movie-level action scene, and that was nice to see on a Disney Plus show, but this isn't exactly what I wanted to see.
Other than 1000 problems of this Finale, Rhodey and Ross and all those humans better get cancer with all that exposure to radiation.
was wondering about that.
@@CinePalsThis show is the true definition of "INCONSISTENCY". Sth works in one scene and two minutes later doesn't in another. 😅
@@jake_gon_jinn Consistency is a sign of....good writing. MCU - doesn't do that, anymore.
@@summertyme5748 Unfortunately yes
It's hard to think that Rhodey don't even know Tony is no more.
What about the radiation poisoning thingy? All the released prisoners just walk off like there's nothing, while Nick Fury has to take the pills every second and that's not even helping.
It was G'iah and she was acting. Do you think Nick teleported between the places?
Are you slow?
Now that you mention it, they probably severely shortened the lives of all the prisoners haha
@@kvm6 Of course I know it's G'iah, but can you just think about the reason why G'iah need or have to act like that?
Hint's, it was already established in the previous episodes.
More hints, only Skrulls can live in the most toxic and severely radiated place like the New Skrullos (former nuclear plant sites in Russia), where they take refuge there.
@@erwinargh She needed to act like that because she was impersonating Fury, who is a human and cannot survive in radiation.
Sooooooo Are we not going to talk about how Ghost wasn’t at the battle in Endgame?!
Neither was Abomination and his DNA was in there also, I'm just going to assume since Fury only mentioned The Avengers’ DNA being in there but yet Thanos and his army were too, that there was DNA in there that didn't come from The Battle of Earth, Fury just didn't mention it like he didn't mention Thanos. I just want to know why he even had it. What was Fury planning to do with?
@@saphiramystique2086 I thought about that after I posted this.
11:55 Rhodey is not able to walk there.
Does that tell you how long?
(He Was paralyzed in civil war remember?)
Looks like a portion of our conversation was cut where Achara basically said that
Nice thumbnail, big fan.
Rhodey’s been a skrull since civil war…😒🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
And Martha Kent is really the Martian Manhunter.
Also somehow Palpatine lived!
(when no talent hacks write 'major' shows)
This was the pure definition of a mixed bag.
I enjoyed the Super Skrull battle, but I didn't like how short this episode was. I liked what this show sets up, but I didn't like how VERY noticeable the CGI was. I liked how this episode will bring about a lot of stuff that will call back to this show, but I didn't like how everything was rushed.
Overall, I found this show to be quite decent. A little better than the bottom of the MCU Disney Plus shows, but not as great as the stuff that is better than this.
Also, all hail our new goddess, G'iah!!! Emilia Clarke earned her paycheck, for sure!!!
I STILL don't care what anyone says. I'm still knee-deep in the MCU, and I will continue to be until I'm 6 feet under.
Best believe that Season 2 is a sure thing. For real.
Why gravix didn't kick Nick fury out of that machine??? And why did giah give the real harvest to gravic???
I also am curious to how G'iah new how to use mantis her abilities... like does the whole world know about Mantis
I am curious about what was in the drink
@@CinePals Probably that skrussy juice nah idk🤣 just liquor i'm guessing
@@CinePals It was love potion. Gravik wanted fury to fell in love with him
A twist that actually would have surprised me would have been if this was a surprise Doctor Who crossover and Sonya actually was hiding an army in that car. 🤣
I think since Endgame, Rhodey has been a Skrull because in TFATWS, he wasn’t wear leg braces anymore.
I think maybe Gravik didn't kick Fury out of the machine was because the machine was designed to be used and give powers only to Skrull, which is why he never bothered to kick him out the machine. Why Sonja didn't shoot the fake Rhodey is beyond me as well unless Fury had ordered Sonja only to hold him so he can talk the president down with diplomacy. As for the presidents choice and why Fury didn't talk to him, for all we know he may have done beforehand to explain things but the president was being stupid.
In the first ep. they talked about how the longer a "host" was in the coma machines, the stronger the transformation was. And then in Ep.5, Rhodey told Fury that he would have to kill him to make him reveal. There were a *lot* things in this show that were subtlety explained that many Reactors seemed to miss...
I know why they didn't kill rhodey right away this episode, bcoz the president is also holding a gun, if they shot rhodey then he might shoot them.
But Nick Fury waited for distraction to grab the gun from the president and shot fake rhodey.
Why Sonya didn't shot Rhodey ?
In previous episode - she learnt there are good people in skrulls ( like Fury's wife, Giah, Talos ), may be she want to give fake rhodey a chance.
The reason why Sonya didn't kill Rhodey doesn't make sense. The guy who's actively misleading the president to drop a bomb will definitely not be good Skrull. Plus, she shot a Skrull in literally the last episode. One shot in the arm would've been enough.
@@vidit3118 then it's the 1st reason, president have a gun. If she shoots rhodey, the president will shoot her or nick before he saw skrull Rhodes body.
Kinda confused. Wasn't the Skrull compound in Cherbynobyl? But that's in Ukraine. Which is NOT in Russia. So nuking Ukraine would be bad, but it's not like it's Russia. And those hostages held there, shouldn't they have DIED from radiation?
This channel be like:🤨🤩
The fact that G'iah's power essentially mimics all the MCU Super's powers looked and felt very icky & disrespectful to me. It just seems like cannibalization of some of my favourite characters from the MCU. Also, this Skrulls Versus Humans bit, will end up undercutting one of the biggest story-threads/themes when Mutants are eventually introduced into the MCU.
Chatgpt wrote the script 😂
Show was very well acted but after episode 2 it just felt rushed. Somethings just didnt make sense. This needed that 45 to a hour to really flesh things out i saw what they was going for but just wasnt well executed
Don Cheadle's performance in this series only further shows how ridiculous and laughable it was that he was given a nomination for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
DID YOU TAKE A STUPID PILL WITH YOUR BREAKFAST THIS MORNING ADMIRAL?
@@CinePals - I just mean he got nominated for a two-scene cameo that had not much to it at all.
Contrary to popular belief, Hulk and Extremis aren't invincible. Hulk actually took some damage (as in bled) a couple of times in the Avengers films and Ragnarok. Multiple Extremis soldiers were killed in Iron Man 3. In that film, Iron Man killed Coldblood with a massive arc reactor blast through the chest. If the trauma is lethal enough, the damage done kills the host faster than the regeneration process can kick in.
Yeah but add that to Thanos and Captain Marvel's levels of durability and she's basically immortal.
Lol, you think putting a disclaimer in the video means anything to the strikers? Did you think you'd ever join SAG anyway? Why would you care about crossing the line?
