    A skinny person can be unhealthy for any number of reasons, but being overweight isn't one of them. Overweight people can also by subject to many ailments, but being overweight is in fact an ailment by itself

    Genetics are basically habit forming. We tend to eat what our family before us ate. The asians always eat rice, South Americans eat potatoes and this has travelled through Europe and Norht America over three hundred years along with sugar.

    You can be unhealthy in any shape or form :) , but I promise the saddest form of being unhealthy is willingly cramming your stomach with food and then looking in the mirror and crying as if it’s out of your control .

    Can't believe Ted is promoting this.
    BMI is pretty accurate. Unless you are a body builder... or very athletic. It's a safe metric to go by.
    We and also use BMI + our eyes.
    Being obese is unhealthy.

      Just look up which category of BMI lives the longest and you’ll see that “overweight” would be the healthiest by that metric. You have a point that obesity is really dangerous but you’re really misguided considering you couldn’t do basic research to back up your point

      I al 6’4 and weigh 245 lbs. My Dr placed in his notes that I was obese even though my chest measures 48” and my waist is 34”. I just laughed when I read his notes.

    • @princessmanitari4993
      @princessmanitari4993 Рік тому +3

      it is unhealthy; but that doesn't mean you gotta be overweight to be obese, that's what she's saying. BMI also has been heavily unreliable specifically with people who are disabled. BMI is a way to say someone is healthy or unhealthy; while in reality our human bodies do not work like that. i can be seen as fitting into the bmi, but my disabilities say something else entirerly. and even if it's 'pretty accurate' then you're saying yourself it isn't fully healthy.

    A skinny person CAN be unhealthy but being a fatty is always UNHEALTHY

  • @TheTish
    @TheTish Рік тому +1

    Is "obesity" a disease? Is it really? Didn't the person bring on that themselves through eating in excess or eating horrible foods, not working out regularly? Diseases that stem from obesity can be categorized as such. But to offer "obesity" as a disease in my opinion takes the hones off the person's actions, doing little to motivate positive behavior changes.
