  • For a challenge from The Destroyer to go as far as you can under five tons.
There were a few inefficiencies in this mission and a lot of xenon left over, plus for the challenge there was a no clipping rule. I suspect that just by iterating on this design, 150-200 kg can be shaved off. This is still the lightest Tylo return mission.
    Further content:
HoDeok - 8 tons Tylo return
    • 8.1 Ton Rocket to Tylo...
    Bradley Whistance - 6 tons Jool-5 mission
    • Landing on all of Jool...
Guybrush Kerman - 4.9 tons Tylo return
    • Tylo and Back on 5 Ton...
    Music: Infected Mushroom - Guitarmass

You know I always had a sneaking suspicion that Brad would be the one to set a new record. Then you come along and knock it out of the park. Very well deserved 🚀

Watching you dance around the system with all those gravity assists was a pleasure, fantastic work.

I just realised that youtube auto-captions completely reversed what I actually said in my original video. It turned "want to" into "won't" and "can" into "can't". Cheers, youtube.
What I actually said in the video:
"In all honesty I just want to see somebody improve upon this mission as I know that it can be done".
Super pleased that you were able to do so Proxima and even more impressed that you've gone on to do even crazier stuff since!

Oh, that's really unfortunate (and also a bit funny). Sorry for misrepresenting you.
Tylo for under 4 tons is viable even without the magic ladder trick. Maybe that's for later

Can we have a vlog? You should visit Mars with a rocket made completely out of things you can find in a garage

He knows if he's got time for his own Discord server. :) It's turned into a little community of minimalist hyperoptimizers.

Far too much excess xenon. Try to do better next time! I'm joking of course. This is really cool. :)
