Kerbal Space Program - 13.6 ton Moho SSTO

- As far as I'm aware this is the lightest Moho SSTO ever. The Moho Messenger route is very good on its own, but when combined with Mun assist spam, it lowers the delta-v requirement so much that a pure liquid fuel craft can beat the ion powered craft that don't use this route.
Who needs ions or yaw stability?

Dang I thought I was decent at orbital maneuvers until I saw this. Great content!
remember they have a bunch of mods, you're probably still quite decent.
It's amazing what small UA-camrs can accomplish. A shame that only a handful of people can see this
Outstanding. Just like BepiColombo, which will go through 6 Mercury assists before it finally arrives.
ngl Jeb probably didn't appreciate spending 63 years in space so the space program could save a few million on parts and fuel
This game can be played at so many levels that it's almost infinite. I'd love to know more about how you achieved it.
I cant even get my SSTO OUT of orbit wtf
Awesome video, well done
This is perfection.
Wow. How do you do the mun assist spam?
😳
With ions how much mass do you think you can eliminate?
Quite a lot. If I were to use ions, I would have a single ion engine and use it for Mun transfer, deep space maneuvers, and Moho capture and escape, as well as having it assist the Moho landing and ascent. This would probably save a few tons. The reason for this is I want to use the Nerv for landing and ascent because of its higher TWR, and then I don't need to worry much about power generation.
@@JYF921 I don't like using ions so I'm going to leave that path open for someone else.
Even with this design I could save at least half a ton of fuel.
I actually ended up making a design for this and eliminated just around 3 tons - seems like my initial estimate was accurate :D
Ok
