**Corrections & Updates** YT user Dean Kim kindly pointed out that that the E15hp2 is actually 900w RMS. I mistakenly assumed based on the amplifier name HX1000 that it was a 1000w.
I am a DIY guy, so I appreciate that Rhythmik actually sell their drivers with amplifiers, so you can design your own enclosure and finish. I modelled the 15" drivers (I think the one in the E15 should be either the DS1502 or DS1510). I have to say, just from the specs they seem very nice. Nearly as good as it gets. Very efficient due to relatively light cones, so it has plenty midbass headroom but still able to play low with about 1,2" peak - to - peak excursion. 103dB@20Hz in a sealed box (anechoically). That's pretty impressive. Sadly, it is quite difficult to get their products here in Europe
Love my 2 Rythmik FV18 Rev2 paper cone subwoofers. Really nuanced bass notes that I didn't hear with my PB16 ULTRA. Great low end. Very punchy and dynamic. Mid bass punch really hits you.
I love how down to earth this review is. When you were talking about the best food you've eaten and all you could say was "man, that's some of the best stuff I've ever had", I died. Because, what else can you say that expresses it? Haha. For the subs, I want to see you review a G25HP and the F18, then cross compare with the E15HP2. I'm stuck at a crossroads between the 3 of them...
thank you my dude! I probably won't review F18 or G25 because they are too heavy for e to move around but there is a user in our discord who owns all 3 (e15, f18, and g25) and he can answer any question you have about them :). The discord is free so feel free to hop on. Link is in the description of this video.
The way your body language is and facial expression says all about the subwoofer. You can not get a better reaction than that. Nice video. I have till black friday to find my 2 subs.
Great review! I've been watching all your reviews before making a decision on a 2 subwoofer setup and you really have me interested in Rythmik. I could use another opinion: I have a 20x25x7 ft room (3500 ft3). I will mostly use for music, but do you think the E15 600w would be enough power in a HT situation? I am trying not to justify the High Powered version to save a little money if I can help it.
I think the 600w will be enough for a lot of people but how much bass is enough is so personal. If you're worried it won't be enough just spring for the 1000w version, no audiophile ever regrets having too much power.
Running dual G25HPs....and man...I don't even know what to say. I have owned them 2x now in the last 4 years. I thought I could find something I liked better, but I came back to them after buying 10-12 other subs in the last few years. They are that good, music and movies just sound better.
The funny thing is that the both of you guys are literally the reason I bought dual E15HP2s. I mentioned both of you in my purchase order. They get delivered next week. Vinny I watched your videos and read your comments on AVS forums. I don’t have the space for G25s, but Enrico said dual E15HP2s are virtually the same as a single G25 in terms of sound quality and output.
@Professor5180 I have an e15hp2 in my home theater. It is wonderful! My room is 15x12 with 12' ceilings and it gets down! I will be buying another asap, just so I can get louder but don't need it
Subwoofers, for me, add the foundation and background on which the rest of the music is built and etched against. Even in pieces with no discernable low end, a subwoofer will make your music spring forward because, unless it's removed, there is always ambience in the performance that that anchors it in real life, spatial cues if you will. I have two E15SEs in my set up and I will get lost in the music for hours.
Great to see the review. I have x2 E15s (600w) and they are awesome for music and movies. 100% agree with your assessment. I chose to go with rythmik in large part based on your earlier reviews of other Rythmik models. Keep up the good work!!
hey what's up Kyle! That's awesome! I never thought people would buy other models that I didn't review just based on what I said about the smaller versions so that's super awesome! Dual 15" must ROCK!!
I'm thinking about seriously picking these up and upgrading from my old Aperion Bravus II 8D Powered Subwoofer. I was thinking of getting Arendal 1723 2S or the Rythmik E15HP2 in gloss white to pair with my KEF R11s.
Hey Max, the Arendal 1723 1S is super good but I havn't heard the 2S model so I can't really help too much here but either way you'll be getting an awesome sub!
So you liked it? lmao. I have no clue which connection method would give me the best results for music or what to set all of the controls on these subs to either. I am a novice and am intimidated by all of the various options on this brand but would love a video on the various ways to connect them and what each does as well as the controls. These sound great if you know what you are doing already. I have stayed away from this brand only for those reasons as I would not want to damage it due to user error.
I learned a while back that for accurate low end you really need servo control! It's sad that so many subwoofer manufacturers just don't care to go the extra mile to implement it on their subs! I'm glad Rythmik is not one of those! Servo control systems are complicated but necessary imho! I run old school 18" Velodyne subs and when they bite the dust, I will turn to Rythmik! Great review man, love the passion!
As always, thanks for your solid gold reviews. I just pulled the trigger on this based on your review. It will replace the RSL Speedwoofer 10s in my, "music only" setup.
wooo!! Nice my man, you're in for a serious upgrade. RSL is oustanding for it's price category but this will be a substantial upgrade for you, congrats mann!
I picked up 2 F12SE with GR paper drivers upon your recommendation and they brought my stereo sound up 3-notches. Thanks again for your review. I like Rythmik more than SVS for stereo. I think I shared with your channel that the paper drivers blend well with my paper driver speakers. Vandersteen 2CE sigII.
Man, deciding between this and the new SVS SB17 Ultra is tough. I’ll be upgrading from two 20+ year-old boomy Sunfire Signature subs, so I’m looking for something that integrates seamlessly with my Polk R700s. My focus is on both music (2.0 and 5.1, including studio and live concerts) and movies. I’m confident that either SVS or Rythmik will be a massive upgrade. I’ll also be using an Anthem AVM with ARC Genesis to handle DSP, which should help dial everything in perfectly. Thoughts?
I think the F18 is more similar but it's as you said, either option will be a massive upgrade. I have not heard the new 17 Ultra subs yet so I can't really say. When you have a hard time deciding between two solid options I sometimes use aesthetics as the tie breaker but the aesthetics of each one in a gloss finish isn't too different.
Another outstanding review. Love your content man! Though I really have no need, I'm considering replacing my L12s with a pair of the E15s. The L12s augment my FVX15s well as is; I can imagine how well the E15s would do.
Hey thank you bro! There is a dude in our discord who has dual F18 and has augmented them with F12 and E15 and he has also owned the L12 so he might be able to shed some light on how that might turn out. The discord is free too.
Great review! I’ve been waiting for this review. I have 2 in black oak. Best subs I’ve ever owned. No delay brought on by digital processing, effortless extension, super clean. I’ve owned SVS, Polk, Velodyne. These win hands down. If your bud is willing to sell them to you for good price, easy decision…
@@amb3cog they are in a 16 X 23 ft room. Currently running an old Klipsch reference 7.2.4 system via Denon 8500. New MultEQ X software is real deal. Better than mini DSP IMHO
@@deankim6687 Not really. Every time I do, I have to remind myself it’s not very well-treated. It’s a family room and my hands are tied to acoustically treat it to satisfaction. If anything, I need to place the subs asymmetrically to load the room a little more evenly. But that will not look nice. I’m lucky enough my wife let me buy them; I don’t want to push it lol
I absolutely love my F18s, but holy shit their website looks like a high school coding project. If they updated that and made it clean and modern I think people would be more inclined to check them out. Perception is reality and if you don't have a great website it definitely limits your success, even if the product is amazing.
Just found and subscribed to your page. Really liking what I read about Rythmik. I have living/audio/home theater room that is 14 wide x 19 long x 7.8 tall. Tile floor and drop tile ceiling. I currently have 2 wireless Sony subs but definitely want to upgrade. I have room for a pair of FVX12 or a pair of E15HP2. Probably 80/20 video/music but would prefer more music. Deep, tight, accurate bass that blends perfectly sounds ideal to me. I just hope that they are still available in white (WAF). THANK YOU for the great videos (This is a copy of my other post that i mistakenly put in the wrong spot...thanks for the replies. Sorry about jumping in to someone else's post. Not intentional)
a pair of them work well in that room? If I didn't mind running a long(er) wire, I could even have 1 of the 2 on the side without taking up any room. (The following is said as a bit of a joke) or maybe 3 subs 😁🤙🏻 (Copy of another post I made)
Can't wait to hear about that kf92! It's currently between that and this rhythmik for me on my short list of dual subs for my home theater / music listening hybrid system. Audio is just like food, you hear with your eyes as well as with your ears, and I love the slim form factor of this sub. Thanks for dropping the knowledge!
I am pretty sure the kf92 is awesome, but I am sure one bigger driver can be better, except for space obviously. If I had the space, I'd go with Rhythmik.
Hey Luke, the KF92 is fantastic in it's own right but much like the little brother KC62 a lot of the KF92 magic is the incredible extension you get for the size as the KF92 is still a small subwoofer while the E15 is medium sized but if you can accommodate the larger e15 you will have a lot more headroom and consistent extension at louder volumes.
@nemo Great review. Love your videos! Would love your advice on my situation.. I have been researching various Subs. Tried REL, SVS sealed as well as ported. I would like to go for 4 subs in 4 corners. My room is 19x14x8. 70% Movies, 30% Music. My Anthem AVM 70 is coming tomorrow (excited!!). I am comfortable with REW; have miniDSP HD. I somehow didn't like ported ones.. and since I am going with 4 subs, don't really need extra output of ported equivalents. So want to go Sealed that do a good job at movies.. hence just ordered 2 REL 1508 Predators for the fronts. For the rear ones, I was going to go with SVS SB 3000s. But now contemplating either Rythmik E22 or E15HP2. E22 is termed as hybrid sub where as E15 geared towards Music (?). Any advice on my approach of 4 sealed? And any recommendations on Rythmik E22 , E15 models or SVS SB 3000? Thanks in advance! Update: Just watched your vid of FVX12. Although ported, maybe that's also a contender??
When a large sub such as the E15 is advertised as good for music that does not mean it's not also great for HT. It means it's so good it can also be used for music which is far more demanding of fidelity than HT is. I have not heard the predator or E22 so it's really hard for me to comment here but I believe those are all fantastic options. I'd start with the pair of predators and see how you like them and for OCD sake I'd just add a pair of HT-1205 at the rear. I don't see any reason to mix brands in this scenario but if you're looking for extremely strong tactile bass of course the larger & more powerful SB3000 will give you even more of that.
Nemo, someone in a forum said that it’s better to go Rythmik ported instead of sealed, in the same line, because the little bit you lose in accuracy will be made up 10 fold in output. What are your thoughts? Also, did your FVX12 have a lot more output than than the E15HP2?
E15hp2 has more output than the FVX12. While the FVX12 is physically a bit larger it is a 12" vs a 15" on the E15hp2. What that guy on the forum was saying was most likely for the same size subwoofer. Like yes for sure the FVX15 has more output than the E15hp2. Personally I love Rythmik ported subs as they are the best I have ever heard but ported subs are larger. If you can fit them for sure go for it, you will not regret it but the sealed versions still offer absolutely amazing performance in a much smaller package. Either way you're winning.
absolutely love your reviews. Would love your advice. Room is 19x14x9. currently have 4 B&W CTSW12, powered by 2 CTSA1000 amps. 2 hang above the seating area, 2 are in a cabinet in the front. But I just got DIRAC live bass for my Arcam receiver and need 4 discreet subwoofers. I was either 1. buy 2 more B&W 1,000 w amps (but they don't go that low). or replace the front 2 subwoofers, and keep the rear 2 each running their own amp. My limitation is size of the cabinet, 18" wide, 18.5" deep 28" high. Do you know if the E15 amp can be rack mounted away from the subwoofer? My rack is upstairs 45 ft away, so this would be the easiest and I don't have enough depth for any breathing room behind the sub. Would you do 2 F12SE up front? or try to figure out how to get 2 E15's up front with a custom cabinet? SVS SB3000 should fit, KEF KF92 would fit (but dual firing, the subs would be firing against the cabinet doors). I can get 2 18" deep sea subwoofers custom built to fit as well ($5,700). Budget is ideally closer to $4k but would go higher. Just want the absolute best theater sound given some of my constraints of the cabinet. since it's already wired to have a remote amp I'd prefer that, otherwise I gotta hire someone to run 2 45ft rca cable which isn't the end of the world. all my other speakers are B&W diamond series in walls.
that's a logical assumption but in this case no. The E15hp2 builds on the F12SE in every way, same fidelity but more effortless, better at lower volumes, larger sense of scale, more extension, more force, the list goes on. If your room won't look silly with the larger E15hp2 I say go for it! If it's too big then go for the F12SE which is still absolutely outstanding. Rythmik is crazy good at making a large sub without any of the downsides large subs usually have so as you move up to their larger models you're not really giving up anything. Technically the smaller subs can be crossed over a a few hertz higher but I feel that's a moot point.
@@NemoPropaganda Trying to decide between F12 and E15 for music only. 15 inch cones are usually slower than 12 inch, so from that sense F12 gotta be better for music?
Maybe the cabinets are made out of crushed dinosaur bones or something, makes no difference to me. I don't care about the how, only the real world performance.
@@mr.a5147 I got dual E15HP2s a couple of months ago and the bass sounds like they’re coming from my bookshelf speakers. I considered the F18s but thought they might be a title to big to integrate with my bookshelves which have 6.5” mid bass woofers, but glad they worked out for you. I cross over at 80hz, which seems pretty good. I think if I went down too low the weight of the bass from my speakers would be a limiting factor for good integration.
@@deankim6687 I was originally going to get an E15, but there was no stock. Supplier had an F18 ready to go. I'm more than happy with it. Movies sound absolutely amazing. The LF in this video at about 3:20 shakes the whole house haha ua-cam.com/video/Q3oItpVa9fs/v-deo.html
Great Review, nice to see you are trying bigger subs as well, now I wonder if you could try the REL HT1508 predator. I remember SpareChange giving the 1508 a bit cleaner and composed in some areas of those movie scene from the HT 1205. Maybe it would be nice to try in music too.
Hey Nemo, trying to upgrade my T/9x not so much in terms of output but I can’t help but think the difference between -6db at 27hz and -2db at 14 hz leaves a lot of information out when my music has LFE type effects (soundtracks etc.) I know the F12 goes low but I believe you commented the T Series was possibly more dynamic (which I want) but I’m thinking the E15 improves upon that from the F12, not just in terms of overall output. Is there anything with the E15 that I will sit back and think huh, the T/9x was a little better at this or that? I know you said it’s basically the best thing you’d ever heard, but I want to make sure there are no surprises if you will. Thanks as always- keep up the great work!
That's a tough question to answer, the F12 is badass, it's plenty dynamic on it's own and at that absolute limits of output it's actually more dynamic than the T9X so how loud you listen is also a factor. I think you're at the stage where you just have to order and try it out in your home. The E15hp2 and the T9X are both god tier subwoofers in terms of bass fidelity. The larger E15hp2 kicks that up tremendously with it's output potential, sense of scale, and extension that the smaller T9X can't be expected to match.
@@NemoPropaganda Figured as much, thanks for confirming. As an aside, if you ever feel like selling one of your extra subs I bet there would be people who would find a Nemo signed sub to be fun memorabilia. Just a thought
Looking at getting this or the Monoprice 16" Ultra THX. No idea what I should do. It'll be mostly for watching movies in my dedicated home theater room.
The Monoprice 16 is a large ported sub that's $2000, for that money in a dedicated theater I would easily take any of these instead: Rythmik E15hp, FVX15, FV15HP, F18, all of which are cheaper, better, and have an optional piano gloss finish. If you just want loud monoprice will do that, if you want loud with excellent sound quality that's what Rythmik is for. Rythmik makes the best ported subwoofers in the world, get an FV15hp, you won't regret it.
Hey Nemo, would you go with 2 Emotiva RS11s or one E15HP for a 2 channel music only system? They are roughly the same cost. I’m not sure if the benefits of dual subs would out weigh the quality of the Rythmik.
Nemo, did you find that the 15" sounds deeper than the 12's? I'm not talking about extension here though. I've found during my testing of many different subs that the larger ones have a deeper tone to them. People on AVSForum will shoot it down saying "a 30hz tone is a 30hz tone, should always sound the same" but in my testing that's not the case. I would also say in my opinion 15" is the perfect sweet spot for speed, tightness and sounding deep.
I know exactly what you are referring to and yes. In fact when I say the word deeper I am usually referring to your definition of it and not simply extension. The F12 still has plenty of that, much more than your average 12 but the larger E15 steps it up for sure.
@@JPWinters I agree, they write off REL completely which to me is a huge mistake. They say REL only sounds tight because it doesn't extend real low which is not true. I had many other subs and for instance with HSU ULS I could put a DSP on it and take away some extension and get it to read exactly like the REL on a frequency response chart and it still didn't sound like the REL. In fact no matter what settings I tried for Q, Extension, and DSP I could never get the HSU 15" to sound as good as the Predator even though I could get it to measure identically.
@@Slickman2006 I agree, it gets no love on AVS but it sounds incredible tonally with music and yet equally powerful with movies. The predator is my favorite sub. I have dual Monolith 15’s in the movie room and I honestly felt I was only missing the lowest frequencies when I tried it in that room. I had the SB3000 Pro; it was loud and powerful but tonally i was very UNDERwhelmed.
Great review man. So considering how highly you praise this sub, would something like a Rel Carbon Special still blow this out of the water at 2/3x the price in all attributes outside outright power/extension or is it really that good that it's comparable?
@@NemoPropaganda But the experience might be a worthy review to compare to every other subwoofer you’ve listened too. A sub that heavy makes you wonder.
@@TheFedExMan702 i gotta protect my back though, I'm doing physical therapy twice a weak trying to strengthen this thing. I don't want to thrown all my gains out the window :). I injured my back pretty bad a few times already lol
Can I get on your opinion? Would you recommend a pair of JL audio fathom v113 v2’s or rythmik g25hps or rythmik f18s? My room is 20’x 17’ and will be used as a dedicated home theater room.
Of those 3 options i have only heard the F18 and G25. If it were me and it was a dedicated theater for sure I'd go for the dual F18 because I like the size/shape over the G25. The JL F113 i'm sure is also a great option if you are more restricted on space and don't mind giving up some extension.
Thinking of going for the ported version of this sub. Im trying to find the best sub for music and movies. My thought process is that because of the servo tech, the abilty to set the dampening on high or low and having the ability to plug the ports... it may be the best option Ive seen for a dual duty sub. I also think the 15" driver size is better suited for music accuracy than an 18". Having heard both ported and sealed Rythmiks, would you agree with this conclusion? I just dont want to miss out on anything in the music department going with a ported design.
Vented Rythmik subs are the best vented subs I have ever heard if sound quality is among your top concerns. As far as sealed or ventedm technically their sealed subs are more accurate but the vented ones sound so darn good that I prefer the vented ones. One of my main subs is the FVX12 despite also owning the F12. Go vented if you have the space, you won't regret it :)
@@synth505 And I just remembered, he also mentioned something to the effect of, plugging the ports doesn’t really do anything for sound quality or make it sound like the sealed version because you’re not reducing the size of the cabinet. He said you’re just reducing the efficiency gains of the ported sub. Interestingly, everyone on UA-cam generally says plugging the port makes the bass tighter, so maybe I’m not doing a good job remembering exactly what Brian said.
most commercial theaters use sealed subwoofers, I don't understand the context of this question or why there is any concern with a nearly 100lb subwoofers output capability in any environment.
Thanks for the video , been thinking about purchasing 2 of these for my HT. How would 2 of these integrate with 2 SVS SB3000s? For a total of 4 subs. Only watch movies.
what's up Jason, okay, hear me out bro, just an idea, if it's a dedicated theater and you're going for 4 subs that won't match why not just sell the SB3000 pair and upgrade to a pair of F18? Anywho to answer your question I'm not a fan of mixing the different brands of subwoofers and I generally don't recommended it but some who are very experienced in audio setup can make it work.
@@NemoPropaganda thanks for the input, I have a minidsp and can time align, just didn’t know how a sealed SVS 13.5” sub would intergrate with a 15” servo sub. Was gonna put the SVS behind my chairs and the 2 rythmik in the front. Trying to get a sub that’s small enough to fit under my screen but also digs deeper than the SVS.
@@jasonpipkin8060 Honestly bro I say just experiment and see what happens :). Best case you get it dialed and it's awesome, worse case you sell the 3000 pair and you have a little more cash in your pocket while still having upgraded to larger 15" subs. It's kind of win win all around :).
Hey Nemo, thank you for this review. Assuming a 100% two-channel system - would you ultimately opt for the E15 or the T9/x provided no space and/or aesthetic considerations? Same question but assume a mixed 80% music / 20% movie use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I would make that decision based on room size. I find both subs to be rather attractive and love the sound of both. Of course the substantially larger 15" will play louder and lower by a wide margin.
Hey Nemo, thank you for this feedback. I am taking the plunge with the E15HP2. Does the matte black finish look cheap relative to the black gloss? I would sooner save $170 but this sub will be in my living room and visible. Any guidance/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
@@rockp5396 mmm, it depends how the rest of your room looks. Personally I will always rather pay extra to have the nice painted finish. Matte doesn't look cheap but it certainly does not look as nice as the painted gloss finish. Best way I can say it matte looks good, gloss looks beautiful.
Hi bro, first you may wish to know my F18 video will publish in 2 weeks, secondly I'll say this, if bass fidelity, transient response, and note to note distinction are lower on your pirority list and instead you just want as much output and bass as possible for the dollar there are a lot of subs that will get you that for much cheaper than Rythmik, theres the myriad of DIY options, or you can get finished products at reasonable prices like powersound audio or other brands that sell giant subs at bargain prices. Rythmiks value is not in giving you the most bass or the biggest sub for your money, it's about giving you the best bass fidelity from a subwoofer thats flat down to 20hz or lower for the money. If you value that, Rythmik is hard to beat, nearly impossible even. But if you're hunting bass output for dollar spent nothing beats DIY.
@@NemoPropaganda I will make sure to look out for that video! Is there anything the new Rel predator can do that this can’t? Seems like for the same money and almost the same power this is a clear winner, unless I missed something you mentioned the Rel doing better. Thanks!
here is a clip from my discord, it summarizes all my thoughts between the two subs and I don't have anything additional to say on the topic aside fromthis: Predator 1510 vs Rythmik E15hp2: I think it's important to keep in mind Rythmik is only available in a few countries while REL is available globally so if Rythmik is not available in your region just buy the 1510. The E15hp2 has a few options including a painted finish and has a narrower look while the 1510 comes in vinyl (with a painted top) and is much wider but looks much shorter in the room. As far as bass quantity these are both bigger subs and both capable of tremendous output however the Rythmik does extend a few hertz lower. As far as sound goes the Rythmik is the classic SQ subwoofer with audiophile bass that comes from an ink black background, bass that never draws attention to itself, and excellent handling of delicate passages. Rythmik is a great example of how going manufacturer direct can get you more bang for your buck (for US customers at least). The 1510 is also very capable of many of these SQ characteristics with the primary difference being a tone that is a touch heavier than the Rythmik. The 1510 doesn't draw attention to itself but it's bass is heavier handed (kind of like JL though nowhere near as heavy handed) and your attention may be drawn to the bass region of the movie or music in a way that makes you go "holy shit". Both subwoofers blend seamlessly and integrate perfectly. In short the E15hp2 is SQ 100% while the Predator 1510 is 95% SQ with 5% of that SPL style heaviness. For context if JL Audio is a 10 on a 1-10 scale of SPL heaviness and Rythmik is 1 out of 10 on that scale of SPL heaviness the Predator 1510 is like 3 out of 10 for SPL heaviness. Personal taste will be a big factor here. Both subwoofers are non-DSP purist pieces so no surprise I love the hell out of both of them.
Well done demo/video straight foward honest opinion, I would like X2 off the 900w and did you say that they do a 1000w E15HP2. Question: is it 600W or 900W for defo? UK
I considered reviewing it but felt it was too niche and the similarly priced F12SE would be preferred by most customers. I did a comparison of the T9X and F12SE in the T9X review if you want to see that.
final crossover point will always be different based on the room & speakers. This 15 in particular has an incredibly good 50-80hz range though I always find myself preferring a crossover around 40-60hz in my room depending on what speakers are connected.
The 1723 1s is fantastic and anyone who owns one should be VERY happy, it comes in a standard painted finish and is widely available. However for US customers I do not believe there is a better option for the money than the E15.
@@NemoPropaganda i take the arendal sub because i never have owned a norwegian sub and norway is a neighbour country to sweden then. 👍. I think rythmik is a very good sub but It is more difficult to import a sub from usa then the arendal sub Who is distributing to almost all countries then.
Hey what’s up man? This E15 is on my hot list along with the F12. I’m looking to replace a 26 year velodyne fsr15 which I think sounds good but has some minor issues. Do you think I’m missing much? Is there a huge delta between the 3 subwoofers?
the F12 is among the best 12" subwoofers you can buy however the larger E15 will have a much fuller sound and a much larger sense of scale and a more effortless presentation simply due to the larger size and will not give up any speed or transient response. As far as versus an old Velodyne, the E15 should be a very big upgrade. Grab the E15hp2 and don't even look back. Conversly the F15 should be identical and offer up .5dB more headroom

Hey Nemo, does the PEQ on the amp allow you to adjust the gain on more than just one frequency? I know there’s the bandwidth adjustment, but it looks like the knobs only allow for one setting.
I have not reviewed it but i have heard it, anywho, I made a video to answer questions like this: watch this entire video and it should help push you in one direction or another: ua-cam.com/video/rEz03XkcslI/v-deo.htmlsi=P8UxIdXc2YYtWqDG
@NemoPropaganda that's a pretty cool and helpful, I can't disagree with you bro. I believe your video is not about which sub is better but rather which work best for you 👍 .
I love your reviews. The more I watch the more I see you and I have the same philosophy and goals with sound. Question on this unit: How does it compare to the REL Predator 1510?? Same power and driver size, both in sealed cabinets. Do tell!
The E15 follows the same trend as most rythmik subwoofers being highly composed, staying in the background, enhancing the experience with incredible note to note distinction, fidelity, and extension. Conversely the Predator 1510 shares many of the same characteristics as both brands are obsessive with bass fidelity however the primary difference is the where the E15 is producing bass from an ink black background the Predator is a touch more aggressive with its bass delivery. If you want the ultimate SQ experience the E15 is like a bigger and more powerful version of the REL T9X sound where the Predator 1510 is more for people that might find those subwoofers a touch too composed and want there bass to be a little more noticeable. Either one is right at home in a music or theater system. As far as quatifiable differences the E15hp2 does offer up more extension.
@@NemoPropaganda thanks for the quick response! I've had two REL t9s in my system for a few years and love them, but for theater use they don't have much attack. I'm not willing to give up fidelity though, under any circumstances lol, so I can't deal with SVS type subs. I think the Rythmik, offering deeper extension, sounds like an ideal choice for my needs (from everything you've shared). Thanks for the awesome reviews!
@@robertholcomb5450 I think that will sound great together. I did a mini version of that and setup a pair of T5X and a Rythmik F12 and the two brands played very well together.
I think mixing to some degree is okay as long as you stay with the same brand. Like a pair of REL 1510 up front and a 1 T7X on the center channel or 2 SVS PB16 up front and 2 SB3000 in the rear.
Would one of these be ample for a 15x16 room? Currently have 1 Speedwoofer 10s and debating on adding another or doing 1 larger sub that has similar dynamics and not too much bigger.
@@NemoPropaganda Nice! Do you think 2x speedwoofers (800w rms combined) be close to one of the E15's? Just trying to weigh price/perf and room balance (2 being more balanced).
@@sirjared21 I don't know which option will play louder but the single E15 will sound better and extend lower while playing plenty loud. If you're happy with the bass quality and extension you have but have poor bass distribution in various seats then sure grab a second sub but if you're looking for more extension and SQ the E15 will be the easy choice.
@@NemoPropaganda I see. Sounds like it's better to get the e15 since another 10s would just be more of the same sound (even with 2 they both still wouldn't reach as low as the e15).
Of what you remember from the F18 and G25, how would you compare it to the E15HP2? I talked to Enrico and he recommended a pair of the F18 over a pair of the the E15HP2 for my room size (4K cubic ft). I told him I don’t listen to music loud and he said it’s not about volume, it’s about room size. He said ideally I should have dual G25HPs, but those are huge and I don’t have the room, but they are actually what I want.
You're not the first person to feel that Enrico's recommendation might be too much for you. I think his recommendations come from years of experience and are designed for maximum customer satisfaction. Of course some customers will be just as happy with smaller subs but as a business owner you want to make sure your customer is 100% happy so it's best to recommend a little too much vs not enough because for sure people will be unhappy if their subwoofer is too small. Your room is about the size of the average car garage in my area which is 20x20 with 10ft ceilings. Anyone wanting reference theater levels of bass should go as large as they can fit. For the rest of us who are not hunting for maximum output we can go smaller. My guess is you will be extremely happy with a pair of e15hp2. However if you want a pair of G25hp but cannot fit them how about a pair of G22? I have one right now and it's extremely good and one of the most precise subwoofers I've had here.
@@NemoPropaganda Ya he said the G22 was the most accurate sub they have. But it has zero tactile response, which i don’t think is ideal for me. I told him that I watch your videos and he said before I decide on the E15HP2, wait for your G22 review. Regarding the bigger subs, even if I could fit the big subs in my room, do I want huge boxes in my living room? I also think the ability to place subs is important. Hard to have a couple of G25s disappear visually in your room. It might be better to have 3 or 4 E15HP2s rather than 2 G25s. Enrico said that 2 E15HP2s are basically equivalent to a G25HP. It’s a tough choice because these things aren’t exactly cheap.
@@deankim6687 okay so I'll give you a sneak peak bro, both subs are crazy good, extension, output, texture, nuance detail, handling of delicate passages, are all outstanding. The primary difference is the G22 is the more precise. The E15hp2 is also very precise but when I listen to the G22 I think "damn this thing has some precision" and when I listen to the E15hp2 I think "damn this just sounds amazing!" so both are incredibly good but unless the customer is obsessed with precision I personally like the E15hp2 more, but of course that is just my personal taste and I think the subs are both so equally good I wouldn't blame anyone for choosing based on physical looks or simply flipping a coin. My advice: pick the one you think will look better in the room. The sound from each is absolutely fantastic and more similar than different.
@@NemoPropaganda Sneak peak, thanks a lot for that! I like the way the E15HP2 looks a lot better and looks really matter to me. It’s supposed to be back in stock in a couple of weeks. My only concern is that a pair might lack headroom. Appreciate your reviews, I think they are some of the most helpful for someone actually looking to buy.
Just show her the the FV25HP first, tell her you're buying a pair. Bring it up a few times, let her object, act defeated for a few days and then do the ole "honey how about these smaller and cheaper ones?" ahahaha my new slogan will be come to Nemo Propaganada for hifi reviews & marriage advice! :D
I don't know, I have not heard hsu but the VTF3 is a ported sub so it'll most likely have boosted bass around it's port tuning frequency and a softer attack to it's leading edges and an inferior midbass region.
I have the space for F15, just E15hp2 is what my friend had so i borrowed it :). I have never heard the F15 but I believe it can play a little bit louder.
It sounds like you have quite a collection of subs that you bought with your own money. If the E15HP2 was available before you bought the others and money wasn't an issue do you regret buying all the REL's.KEF92, and FVX12? I too have a lot of audio gear that certain pieces just make all the rest obsolete.
Sooo, most of what you mentioned are review samples but I get what you mean. The answer is mostly no from a technical standpoint but from a personal taste perspective of course I personally like some gear more than others and I will always have a Rythmik and a REL because they both fit my personal taste but the strong attack of JL Audio or SVS will always impress me, the crazy extension of the small KEF KF92 will always impress me, and the price to performance ratio of the RSL Speedwoofer will always impress me. So no it doesn't make gear obsolete. As far as a feeling of regret that's just not an emotion I feel too often. I can't remember the last time I felt regret towards anything. My father died when I was in my 20's and I do regret that sometimes I suppose, it would be cool to sometimes shoot the shit with him even though he was kind of an ass. I regret not having the opportunity to build a relationship with him as a grown man but that's out of my hands so I don't really think of it too often. Longer answer than you hoped for perhaps but the answer is no, I don't regret any of this. I view every purchase as a learning opportunity about my personal taste and the price of the gear is the price of learning more about myself if that makes sense.
Hi Joe, next KEF subwoofer reviewed will be the KF92, I have been really impressed with their subwoofers so far so I will for sure review more in the future :)
I'm not sure, you should reach out to Rythmik and see what they say about it, they are out of town right now so response time may be slower than usual.
I have an E15HP in my home theater (the 600W RMS version). Best subwoofer I ever bought, both for music and movies. I used to have two, but when I moved to another house, I sold one because I created a small dedicated HT in which one sub was sufficient. For music in my living room I swapped it out for a smaller sub. I very much regret selling it.... If I ever want to go back to combining my living room for music and movies, I'd really want to go dual sub again (because of the size of the room and the amount of seats). I live in the Netherlands and shipping it in from the US is not as easy and cheap as it used to be. Best choice ever in going with Rythmik subs. Poor choice in selling one of them 😒
I posted this in the discord awhile ago: Predator 1510 vs Rythmik E15hp2: I think it's important to keep in mind Rythmik is only available in a few countries while REL is available globally so if Rythmik is not available in your region just buy the 1510.
Hey Nemo you helped me decided on my purchase of the rythmik fvx12 and I love it. I had it paired with svs prime speakers before but now I have psa mtm 210t’s. I’m doing a 2.1 setup then I want to do a 2.2 setup eventually. Instead of buying another fvx12 I want to get an e15hp and again you’re helping me decide my purchase. I love the fvx12 but you know how this hobby is you always want more and I’m fascinated by the idea of a sealed 15 paired with my speakers. Might be the one to go dual. Thanks for reviewing a larger sub we all appreciate it
I missed the part at the end where you said you would be trying to get a g22 to review. I’m torn between that and an E15. Too many great decisions. I hope you get your hands on one
F12G is for people who want F12 but believe paper cone sounds different than metal cone so Rythmik offers paper cone for those people, that's it. It's not better or worse, it's to satisfy customers who want a paper cone.
mmm, E15 is the better technically, it's tighter, a smidgen faster, etc.... But I like the slightly exaggerated bass the ported FVX12 provides. I'd keep it simple, while both subs would be world class for theater or music I suggest picking the one you think will look the best in the room because both of them are insanely good.
@@NemoPropaganda I figured. Well pair of FVX 12 is around $900 cheaper, I'd never push either to full volume (currently), and I like the idea of having low end without the sacrifice. Probably a pair of FVX 12 Even though they don't look as good and are gargantuan. Then again, I do like a big sub, doesn't stress the components as much.
@@Audfile oh yeah, the E15 certainly is a bit more room friendly. The FVX12 is almost identical in shape and size to the PB-2000 Pro and other ported 12's so it's not crazy big but the depth can be an issue for some.
Great reviews! I watched several of your Rythmik videos. Your appreciation and enthusiasm for the brand continues to confirm my recent purchase. I just purchased (2) F18's for my system which is 50/50 HT/Music. Excited to see and hear them. Just got my tracking number today. These are the finishing pieces to my complete system upgrade.
You're in for a treat, keep that damping switch set to high and you'll have a nice well defined edge to all the bass notes and transients. You're gonna love it.
You were right! What a treat these are. Got them today and installed SVS isolation pads on them. These subs are something else. And I agree the pictures don't do them justice. They are gorgeous.
That thing is monstrous! This beast is for those home theater freaks who actually want to feel the power of the incredible Hulk's punch! I have a Velodyne with an eight inch driver and if I wanted to I could knock all the pictures off the walls. I can only imagine what this can do.
I really appriciate your reviews of the Rythmick Subs. I find them very informative and I like your comparisions. Would you by chance be reviewing any HSU subwoofers (12" or 15" versions) anytime soon? While I'm in a sea of people looking for comparisions between their number 1 and number 2 options, it looks like the price, performance and reviews are very simular. Thanks for your time and keep up the great reviews.
Hsu is not interested in working with me and I do not believe they can compete with Rythmik but I am confident they make a great sub for their price category.
A killer option for tbose who don’t need the extra output of the hp2 model. But you can also just get the F15hp. Rythmik can tell you more about the nuance differences.
@@NemoPropaganda Appreciate the feedback! Perlisten seems like its the only company that provides SPL figures and I know you had the 3000 for about a year, so you could provide real world insights.
Great review! Get it! Use all the money you get from making UA-cam videos:) You didn't say if this a SPL subwoofer? I have a SVS SB3000 and looking to upgrade to the next level sealed sub. Music only system, large open space. Looking at the SVS SB16, how would they compare? You also didn't mention how this would compare to the larger Arendal.
My channel operates at a loss so there is no youtube money for me lol. I don't have much experience with the SB16 so I can't comment. The Arendal is great but for US customers E15 is simply the best. All Rythmik subs are capable of substantial extension/SPL but have an SQ presentation so they are all SQ subs.
Hey Nemo, loved the review. I am currently auditioning an Arendal 1961S. It's pretty much like you described it, it doesn't care about how much bass the song calls for. It wants to make bass and lots of it. Tried an SVS sb3000, didn't care for the tone of the bass. Just didn't seem natural, and actually caused my ears to ring a bit( pressure I guess), but didn't experience it with the Arendal. We have an L22 in our living room and gotta say the Rythmik just tells it like it is. Had an fv15hp before in a different house, but it was just so damn big. Hard to accommodate moving it around to get the best positioning. Now I'm kind of gravitating back towards Rythmik, they are just so clean and precise. My quam is F-12, FVX-12 or stretch way beyond my budget and try to grab the E-15? My listening room is small, less than 1600 cubic ft. I am definitely an SQ over Spl guy. Finally got a pair of bookshelve speakers that are clean, and quick with little distortion ( even with metal) Gotta tell ya, CSS Criton 1tdx speakers fricking rock. I listen to jazz, all kinds of metal, hard industrial, pop and some dub step. But definitely trying to get a second b I can stick with for a long time. Figured I'd bring this dilemma to your table and see if you can offer me any wisdom. Any information or advice you got brother I'm open to hear it.
I think F12 will be the best option because it can blend the highest while still offering up great extension. FVX12 is great if you like an exaggerated low end (like me lol), and the E15hp2 is like the F12 but slightly better overall and a better fit for those that will play louder or have larger rooms. But if your room is not very big then F12 should be fantastic!
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks Nemo Propaganda, your reply was definitely clear and very helpful. Your reviews are great and more in line with what average music lovers would buy/ can afford to buy. From one Captian to another, not sure if you mentioned this in the video, but did you like it?😂🤣. Thanks for the video, but I went ahead and ordered something else before this dropped 😞.
I checked out the website and I think the E15 is only $1399 with the basic finish and $1599 with the piano finish. Do you buy straight from the website or do I buy from ascend acoustics? I'm pretty sure the website is so old that buying straight from it has security flaws.
yeah their website looks like fecal matter, I ordered directly from Rythmik personally. The site is old but the owners are competent. Personally I wouldn't worry about it but I toally understand why it would make you apprehensive. Ascend certainly is an option if you're more comfortable with that.

Haha.

They are that good, music and movies just sound better.
woo those are big boys!!!

My FV18s and FV15HPs are deep digging, articulate subs. Rythmik excels at clarity backed by clean mid bass! Sealed, ported, they all sound great.
100% agree.
Subwoofers, for me, add the foundation and background on which the rest of the music is built and etched against. Even in pieces with no discernable low end, a subwoofer will make your music spring forward because, unless it's removed, there is always ambience in the performance that that anchors it in real life, spatial cues if you will.
I have two E15SEs in my set up and I will get lost in the music for hours.
strongly agree :)
Bro you have EVOLVED! I believe I remember hearing you say you didn’t like a big sub yet you’ve reviewed two 15’s in a row! Congrats
it's not that I don't like them, they're just so heavy lol
I have stayed away from this brand only for those reasons as I would not want to damage it due to user error.
hey Mike, I kind of already did: ua-cam.com/video/aZbzvanu3vA/v-deo.html
I learned a while back that for accurate low end you really need servo control! It's sad that so many subwoofer manufacturers just don't care to go the extra mile to implement it on their subs! I'm glad Rythmik is not one of those! Servo control systems are complicated but necessary imho! I run old school 18" Velodyne subs and when they bite the dust, I will turn to Rythmik! Great review man, love the passion!
Hey thank's man! I don't 100% agree because REL doesn't use servo and their subs are amazing too!
I would love to hear that! What size room are they in? And what else are you running them with? If you don't mind me asking. ✌️
@@amb3cog they are in a 16 X 23 ft room. Currently running an old Klipsch reference 7.2.4 system via Denon 8500. New MultEQ X software is real deal. Better than mini DSP IMHO
@@marcgigliotti9637 That’s a fairly sized room. Do you find that you ever need more headroom?
@@deankim6687 Not really. Every time I do, I have to remind myself it’s not very well-treated. It’s a family room and my hands are tied to acoustically treat it to satisfaction. If anything, I need to place the subs asymmetrically to load the room a little more evenly. But that will not look nice. I’m lucky enough my wife let me buy them; I don’t want to push it lol
I absolutely love my F18s, but holy shit their website looks like a high school coding project. If they updated that and made it clean and modern I think people would be more inclined to check them out. Perception is reality and if you don't have a great website it definitely limits your success, even if the product is amazing.
yes, and get some nice renders made up for each product.
When I bought my pair, it took a while for the order. I'm kind of glad they're just making quality products that don't have a year long wait.
THANK YOU for the great videos
(This is a copy of my other post that i mistakenly put in the wrong spot...thanks for the replies. Sorry about jumping in to someone else's post. Not intentional)
a pair of them work well in that room? If I didn't mind running a long(er) wire, I could even have 1 of the 2 on the side without taking up any room. (The following is said as a bit of a joke) or maybe 3 subs 😁🤙🏻
(Copy of another post I made)
Can't wait to hear about that kf92!
@@NemoPropaganda thanks for the response! Good to know that the rhythmik has significantly greater headroom
@@NemoPropaganda Thanks Nemo!
absolutely love your reviews. Just want the absolute best theater sound given some of my constraints of the cabinet. since it's already wired to have a remote amp I'd prefer that, otherwise I gotta hire someone to run 2 45ft rca cable which isn't the end of the world. all my other speakers are B&W diamond series in walls.
multi channel systems are not my area of expertise, it looks like the guys in the discord with experience in that arena are helping you :)
Hey Nemo great videos! Would you say the E15/F12 decision is similar to the T9x vs T7x decision where it’s mostly room size dependent. Thanks!
that's a logical assumption but in this case no.

Got an F18 on the way.. I'm a little nervous about how integrating it to my stereo bookshelves is going to go.
hehe, you crazy! Keep the xover under 60hz, damping set to high, and you should be good.

@@deankim6687 it's just one, sounds fantastic. My bookshelves get down to mid 40s so the F18 integrated quite well.
Great Review, nice to see you are trying bigger subs as well, now I wonder if you could try the REL HT1508 predator. I remember SpareChange giving the 1508 a bit cleaner and composed in some areas of those movie scene from the HT 1205. Maybe it would be nice to try in music too.
thank's roy! I will revie the predator for sure, i just don't know when :)

Were you crossing this over at the typical 80Hz?

Hey Nemo, would you go with 2 Emotiva RS11s or one E15HP for a 2 channel music only system? They are roughly the same cost. I’m not sure if the benefits of dual subs would out weigh the quality of the Rythmik.
single e15 all day long would be my choice.
@@NemoPropaganda Nice, and for me it's like once I heard that deeper tone it's hard to go back to smaller subs. LOL
AVSForum is a terrible place for subwoofer advice.
Hi Stu, I'm not sure as I've not heard the Carbon Special but it sure is beautiful :D

@@NemoPropaganda thanks for the reply Nemo. Really like your review style.
For what it’s worth, Brian, the owner of Rythmik, told me their vented 15” at high damping is like the sealed at the medium damping setting.
@@deankim6687 Thanks for the feedback. Thats good to know.
How does it perform with hometheatre given that it's sealed?
most commercial theaters use sealed subwoofers, I don't understand the context of this question or why there is any concern with a nearly 100lb subwoofers output capability in any environment.
How would these function for home theater only
extremely well, one of the best options period.

what's up Jason, okay, hear me out bro, just an idea, if it's a dedicated theater and you're going for 4 subs that won't match why not just sell the SB3000 pair and upgrade to a pair of F18? @@rockp5396 mmm, it depends how the rest of your room looks. Personally I will always rather pay extra to have the nice painted finish. Matte doesn't look cheap but it certainly does not look as nice as the painted gloss finish. Best way I can say it matte looks good, gloss looks beautiful.
@Nemopropaganda Looking into f18 and wanted to know if you still recommend these over doing something like dyi GSG greatly appreciate your assistance.

Would you consider the 55-80hz region of this sub punchy and tight? Would it be better to get towers to handle that region and cross over at 55hz?

I'd like to see a review for the fvx15 if u ever get your hands on it seems like a beast subwoofer !
a user in my discord has one if you want his opinion, I'm not sure I'd check it out simply due to the size.
Side question: for home theater use with multiple subwoofers, is it advantageous to have the same subwoofers, or is mixing and matching acceptable?
I think mixing to some degree is okay as long as you stay with the same brand. Like a pair of REL 1510 up front and a 1 T7X on the center channel or 2 SVS PB16 up front and 2 SB3000 in the rear.
Would one of these be ample for a 15x16 room? Currently have 1 Speedwoofer 10s and debating on adding another or doing 1 larger sub that has similar dynamics and not too much bigger.
This would be a serious step up from a speedwoofer. It'd be like going from a Carolla to a Ford Mustang GT.
@@sirjared21 yeah that's pretty much my thinking also.
@@deankim6687 one more thing, another easy way to pick (these days) is also whichever one is in stock :D
@@NemoPropaganda Sneak peak, thanks a lot for that! I like the way the E15HP2 looks a lot better and looks really matter to me. It’s supposed to be back in stock in a couple of weeks. How does it stack up to HSU VTF-3 MK5?
I don't know, I have not heard hsu but the VTF3 is a ported sub so it'll most likely have boosted bass around it's port tuning frequency and a softer attack to it's leading edges and an inferior midbass region.
would you prefer the F15 over this one if you had the space?

Could you review KEF Kube 12b subwoofer?
Hi Joe, next KEF subwoofer reviewed will be the KF92, I have been really impressed with their subwoofers so far so I will for sure review more in the future :)

2 FVX12 for sure!
@@NemoPropaganda That's what I thought...but I had to check with an expert...thanks for replying.
Hello sir what about fv15 or e15
Every single Rythmik subwoofer is amazing.
Hello sir, can i use 2 E15s for my hifi only? Thank you. Watching You from the Philippines.
Yes absolutely, I review using hifi only :) E15hps is amazing!
@@NemoPropaganda thank you, Gobless you sir.
would one G22 be better than two lv12m's?
Poor choice in selling one of them 😒
well said! sorry you had to sell one only to wish you still had it, we've all been there :(
Any thoughts on E15HP2 vs Predator 1510?
I posted this in the discord awhile ago: Predator 1510 vs Rythmik E15hp2: I think it's important to keep in mind Rythmik is only available in a few countries while REL is available globally so if Rythmik is not available in your region just buy the 1510.
Your 100% right! Keep up the great job bro! 😎👍
If we get that subwoofer can you get use a discount code ?? 😎👍💰

Thanks for reviewing a larger sub we all appreciate it
Either way that's gonna be an awesome setup!! If you're in the free discord feel free to share some updates or pics.
I missed the part at the end where you said you would be trying to get a g22 to review. I’m torn between that and an E15. Too many great decisions. I hope you get your hands on one
@@Ozzypants2020 yeah I have it, still a ways out from the review though.

Hey can you review the Rythmik F18.
maybe one day, it's pretty big & heavy so timing would have to be perfect.
What about
Rythmik Audio F12G ?
F12G is for people who want F12 but believe paper cone sounds different than metal cone so Rythmik offers paper cone for those people, that's it. It's not better or worse, it's to satisfy customers who want a paper cone.
Which one is better at normal listening to low decibels, FVX12 or this?
mmm, E15 is the better technically, it's tighter, a smidgen faster, etc....

I have 4 of them. They rattle the dry wall when I play bassatronics songs.
Thoughts on the 600w E15?
A killer option for tbose who don’t need the extra output of the hp2 model. But you can also just get the F15hp. Rythmik can tell you more about the nuance differences.
I wonder how this would compare to the SVS SB3000 in terms of SPL.
The SB3000 is awesome for how compact it is but the E15HP2 is much larger and on another level.
