Poppy is one of the few Yordles I don't want to punt to the moon, she's great.

I am SO glad you brought the champion roster to the public's attention, cause S5-S6 is absolutely the best period of design in league thus far. I remember when Asol got shown everyone was like "can they do that? That power level?". It was so ambitious and unhinged and perfect.
The thumbnail is so good. I really love jhin and ivern here, they're just so amazing. Oh and ryze too ig

Jhin and Illaoi is two of my most played champions. And when Kled came out I spent so much time with him because I loved his personality. S6 is definitely was a highlight for League champions.
Personally I love Poppy's character, it makes her a perfect foil to Veigar

veigar has a genuinely interesting backstory that could go anywhere, but riot never goes further than milking his "wannabe villain" characterization

I'm hoping when Ivern gets to LoR he will be a Runeterra Champion with an Origin that makes it so he can have any animals or monsters from any of the regions in his deck. Just a creature oriented champion surrounded by critters.

Viego got fucked over in the end, he cant control the mist anymore, the only 2 candidates for the weed smoke villain is Tresh and Mordekaiser... i was going to say vex but shes just a pathetic goth who simps over the bad guy

the Taric part made me remember me and a friend would constantly play Taric and Rell bot just because we were two psycopath support mains who loved to engage for literal no reason, and that was before that glitch or whatever where Taric dealt shit tons of damage with Rell because of armor stacking

One thing I remember the most from Jhin's release is his teasers. I watched quite a lot of Brofresco at that time (I was young and naive...) and I still remember clearly his videos about the whole teasers and who "deadeye" is supposed to be. I was sooo hyped for this champion, no other teaser came close to the anticipation I felt for Jhin. Riot outdid themselves on every level for Jhin

I played a dozen games before Asol got reworked and I loved it, it felt so satisfying to play to me
The CGU removed almost all skill expression from him and feels miserable to play
At least he's not changed in wild rift yet
What is so skill expressive about asol? People always talk about positioning and movement but isn't that what every champ does?
@@charmelos1431 asol relies on it much more and in a different way than other champs. His passive deals deceptively high damage if you get your boops but also gives him a clear weakness of a melee nono zone that
Also "every champ needs to move" is like saying Yuumi takes skill because she's "countered by cc"

Auto attack canceling is something every champ does. even melee champs kite and in toplane it can decide the whole lane. movement speed is a very important stat.5 ms completely changed how it feels to play swain. Spacing and kiting are things every champ does.
Almost every champ gets countered by cc, but most champs can't do much about. there isn't a way to play around, therefore it doesn't take skill.

P.S: Asol's theme is gives me the chills. My top 3 themes are Targon actually (Asol, Bard, Pantheon). I'm a big Targon fan as you can tell
My guy, Peter Turbo is the sole reason the entire heresy was as devastating as it was, dude carried that siege on his back. Horus was all high on dat warp juice, Angron was going oonga bunga, every traitor was off their rockers. Dude is the epitome of that one guy in a league game who gets the team of 4 idiots, loses, yet somehow managed to get more kills than the enemy team combined and gave the enemy team a run for their money.
Perty is an absolute piece of shit, but he can talk the talk and walk the walk and I fuckin love him for it

i will say, i've had a similar experience with asol, he was the second champion i picked up after i actually learned the basics of league, and he is still my highest mastery despite the fact that before the rework i haven't played him in about a year, i'm so happy to see asol at least be a champion
Okay, but can we talk about the absolute bangers the champion themes from this year was?
9:02 Had me in the first half not gonna lie, you really didn't want to disscuss shen, and his honestly pretty intersting gameplay and the shield, Max health magic damage, High shield teleport for a free summon and immunity for 3 attacks.
I could see the annoyance there till I realese, his passive requires good managment of abilities and rotations, Max health damage is enchanced if he uses it to recall the sword into him, the teleport is only an assist spell leading to higher realance on allies, and the immunity is limited by hits not time.
I really wanna know why you specifically hate him.

Idk what this means, but I love almost every single one of these champs. With the exception of Taric, Poppy, and Ryze, I play and love all these guys, and I main Yorick/Kled Top. This was truly a good season for me.

2016 is far and away the best year for champ design in terms of personality and aesthetic, and the reworks spawned some of my favourite champions including new Poppy who I'm Mastery 7 on and have all of her skins, and her humility is a the punchline to the joke of her being incredible and obviously worthy of wielding the hammer/being the hero, that's why I like it. I also LOVE Yorick and it's a CRIME he somehow wasn't included in the Viego storyline???
Those are my 2 favorite champs. I started way later but I otp Poppy and have Yorick as my backup pick. Fun champs. Wish there were more I liked as much as them.

Damn I never realized how good Season 6 was. I wasn't involved with the game much, heard about Illaoi but that was pretty much it. It truly was the golden age of champion design. Can't wait til you reach Kai'Sa's release where it all went downhill.
