I think getting a moral bonus on intelligence and charisma is better than bonuses to attack and damage. I'll take a bonus to DC on crowd control spells any day.
Demon Dancer's pretty ridiculous at the moment, though I think it might be bugged. Seems to add way more than just one bite attack, especially if you're running characters who have bite from other sources. Around level 11 I have a Primalist -> Dragon Disciple doing 21+ attacks in a turn sometimes while hanging with her Demon Dancer -> Invulnerable Rager buddy. It's a fun class to run with one or two necromancers, too. If those skelebois bang their heads long enough they're bound to get a crit eventually. Biggest weakness is that fiend totem doing a number on non-evil characters. I feel like, unlike the other skald types, Demon Dancer is a class I'd usually switch out of. Lots of front loaded utility in the first six or so levels and the spells are just kind've a nice bonus.
How are you liking this game compared to Pillars 1 and 2? I'm very curious about it but every review says you need to study it before creating a character and I just don't have the time/interest to study a system to play a game. Currently playing through Deadfire for the first time after finishing Pillars 1 recently. Can't say I know what I'm doing yet, but I'm surviving so far haha
play the first one on normal difficulty and auto level the comps. You can beat the game on normal with anything basically. If you have played pillars or Baldur's Gate 2 and such its gonna be easy.
The party members you find during the game are pretty diverse in classes so you could just play a very simple class like fighter and just learn as you go, there's really no need to minmax your characters on normal difficulty so you can just have everyone be level 20 (max) in their only class choice. There are definitely moments where you get your shit kicked if you don't know Pathfinder, such as one particular cave very early on or certain enemy type in the last few chapters, however the difficulty is very customizable and you can change on the fly. By the time you're done with Kingmaker, you should have pretty good idea on how Pathfinder works for the next game.
I've always wanted to use this class ever since I saw that picture of Hakon in a DnD manual my friend had shown me. Two hand axes and a massive horn slung on his back. However, so far I gotta say it's been incredibly disappointing. Low damage, when he actually manages to hit, and instant death since regardless of his position in the group he's immediately charged and nuked by bosses and other hard hitting monsters. It's unbelievably frustrating.
Heavy Metal Bard!
Magic is impressive, but now Minsc leads. Pounce for everyone!
GO FOR THE EYES, BOO!
Primalist Bloodrager/Horn Herald maybe ? To try and really stack those rage powers ?

I’ve wanted to create a Norse mystic lore keeper who is a Skald.
What better place to pen a saga than a demon infested ruin state

Serpentine Bloodrager's hydra transformation might be another way to add to the bite-mania
Good ol' bardbarian
Love these videos, though you make me want to drop $115 with Owlcats so as to get into the beta.
Honestly I'd just wait it out lol

They all have their pros and cons, but yeah the more you know about Pathfinder certainly helps

So they are the bardbarian Abserb talks about
Sorry I'm new. What program are you using?
So they are bards.... But METAL
What do you think is the best mythic path pairing with Skald? Azata/Trickster?
Devil
Tricksters more for rogue or hybrids/ Azata is pretty good for every class but some powers are optimized for bards.
Am I the only one that has spent at least 50 hours of my 140 so far just re spec ing ALL my characters, mercs, and companions lol

Seems cool, but this does not sound fun to play.
