At a technical level, I'm impressed. Of course I would be... It's Nick. At a musical level, driving home just now, listening to this, I am fed. I feel more confident, my spirits are lifted, old dreams arise again; Nick has tapped into something greater than the sum of the parts (tracks, perhaps?) in the work he has done here. I am grateful for this. I think, rather than pitch a fit, threaten to burn my guitar, or quit playing all together, I'll dig deeper. Instead of trying to outplay the man, or prove anything, it may prove best to simply outdo my own self, to go further than before. I may also just be low on sleep. Thanks, Nick!
Big agreement - it isn't just about shredding or trying to make the guitar"sing" over a static backing track. Nick is a music composer. He creates music you want to listen to.
@@RKMontgomery I'm a piano guy first, so that's what raises my hairs. The guitar is great as well. It's the sustains and like b7s that bring out the soul in works like this. It's simplicity but with a volume to it. His compositions have a feel of sincerity to them. Sure, there's a lot more going on at times, but you don't "notice" it, you just ride along with it.

Very good description - yes, it is more like a film score, is it!? More atmospheric, more orchestral, dramatic. The guitar still plays a leading role though, but other instruments are beautifully recorded and the mix is wonderful to my ears.
I thought the same thing, movie sound track when I heard Remarkably Human. Nick broke the shredder mode, like owning a Corvette, you can floor it when you want to, not constantly like some guys, which frankly, is pretty damn old, take a bow Nick, you deserve big success.
Bought this one on Vinyl! It's so gorgeous. So happy I got it. This album is an instrumental masterpiece of music. So sad that many people on this planet will never understand it.

I chose to have this cued to where all I had to do was hit space bar. I put on a comfortable black blindfold, had no lights on in the room I had to experience this in dark solitude. Within minutes I was no longer anywhere and everywhere. Thank you for understanding balance.
