Theres absolutely no denying Mr. Govans skills, he's got some sick grooves. Definitely one of, if not the best guitar player, but Nick speaks so much more to me. Especially in this last album. Different folks, different strokes, its all good either way
Even if he never played guitar, the compositions and song structure is outwardly. We haven't heard such profound music for a long long time. Breathtaking. You don't need to be able to follow all the notes to love this. This is almost like the best pop album ever the melodies are that strong
Bought the sheet music to the album almost immediately after hearing the new album! Very good, but I have feeling you didn't do the transcription after seeing the music videos :)
Done, and done! This song speaks to me because I have a mental illness and winter does weaken me, this song just gives me the right emotion. I don't know how to explain it other than awesome!
To those who might not know, Nick can easily shred like Tosin Abasi or Jason Richardson. But the level of restraint you hear on this piece and throughout his music in order to serve the melody makes him IMO one of the greatest guitar players. It's astonishing.
I actually hate shredder or whose the fastest guitar licks those players dont have souls to it they just wanna be whose the loudest and the fastest ???
Tosin Abasi absolutely should absolutely not be in the "shredder" category. That's such disrespect to him and the amount of creativity he has brought to the game.
Shredding is another resource when playing guitar and composing. Well used can be amazing. Overused or wrongly used can ruin a song. Those who hate it because "it has no soul" (really? Gowan, Vai, Satriani, Gilbert or Moore among many other have no soul then?) or consider it offensive should then stick to blues, jazz, pop or whatever the hell they usually listen to.
@@monkas3968 One of his old screen names had something like "ShredGod" in it though at one point, to be fair, lol. Just because you can "shred" doesn't mean you don't have melody or creativity. I hate when people only use the word in that sense. Tosin can definitely shred melodically.
How can you hate this. It’s melodic. Has plenty of technique for all the shred fans out there. It’s progressive, yet touches your soul. “remarkably human” really is the perfect title.
@@ivan_7402yeah you’re tweaking bro. It’s balanced perfectly while not being so flashy that it takes the melody’s out of it. 🤦🏾 brain dead listeners as always
Is been 5 months. This is a regular companion throughout the day. Stunning production as well. Bought the album and the backing tracks. Very kind of you to do that for ppl like us
Phenominal player! One of the most soulful guitar players in the modern era with the chops of legends. Hats off. His albums make me listen to the entire thing.
This guy has a master mind in composing this kinda chord circles...and he plays every single note with his soul.....and the tone is over perfection....
Defining the musicality of Nick Johnston is like thinking of an abstract work of art. His music gently walks the world of new age, jazz fusion and the most innovative sound proofing today. Nick in this magnificent work synthesizes an avalanche of feelings and senses aimed at a new insight that makes the listener reflect and disconnect from a world so empty and devoid of beauty, so dear reader close your eyes and let Nick Johnston's music search the More beautiful places of his musical soul, for music is life and it seems to me that our friend Nick Johnston understands this very well. Congratulations Nick Johnston from Sao Paulo Brazil.
Absolutely beautiful tone, phrasing and technique. Remarkably human is one of the most refreshing instrumental albums I've heard in a very long time! Nick is a complete beast!
Can’t go wrong here it’s my favorite song for this time in my life! Makes me feel the moment - I want another similar and much longer! I loop thins one 🙌
He doesn't need overly impressive and complicated shred licks. He has soul and executes each note perfectly. Plus this dude is one of the most humble and down to earth guitarists ever.
CreamFreshCream Its not the tone. Its about his playing style and ability. He didn't use processors, not even compressors in the record. May be his pickup switching and hand tremolo stuffs that he mastered and may be thats what makes him unique ! Inspirational
Man..... I'm addicted to your songs at first listening! I've been looking for a guitar player with these sound and not just about a million notes per second... I love your textures and modal changes. Very good taste. Really Great job!
Where'd the beard go? I can hear you don't have it in this vid! ( ;D lol ) Also 2 people are jealous. Love this album man, also turned a befriended online radio dj onto it ^^ so yeah, you got some play time last week ;)

this is one of the example of classical music or neo-classical music evolution improvised and hosted by the millenial era. I'm proud to be one of this generation but classical music never dies and it remains forever. rock'n roll!
Saw u along side with intervals on the way foward tour , at North Carolina , I’m so glad I went or I would have never found your music!!! So beautiful!!!!!!!
Wow, I think you even surpassed Steven Wilson with Guthrie govan with most of your songs..I thougt that would be impossible....but then I found you...bravo maestro..I am hooked
he reminds of like a modern satriani, very melodic well composed spends more time on amazing song structure rather then playing as fast as he can the whole time. great artist great song
The phrasing, composition and raw emotion of this song is just phenomenal. I'm into week 1 of my very late introduction to Nick Johnson! I'm glad there is a lot to catch up with!
his songs are like stories
Hami Punongbayan indeed
hes also the nicest musician youll ever meet, hes as kind as the message he puts out without words
his stories are like songs
I just can't find this kind of soul in most modern players anymore...so beautifully done.
Guthrie Govan

brothercartman ,true.. Music has changed a lot. Nick has got something more than others.
yes he does have great feel, try David Maxim Micic "who bit the moon" a bit more electronic but he has a great feel as well for a modern player
Enjoy the video, guys!
Please consider supporting the record at nickjohnstonmusic.com/ :-)
Beautiful Nick ! Who mixed this btw ?
Amazing! ;)

One of the best things about Nick. Knows when to shred and when to hang back. Does both perfectly

this song is absolutely disbalanced.
The guitar so weak and the piano horribly powerful.
People just dont like fakes
Yes men him incredible musician. When the music it's no only speed or show soul lenguaje!!

Nick Johnston is not a cult leader. If people are not allowed to dislike his music then there is something wrong with the cult members.
Amazing song!
Conheci o Nick por você man! Incrível esse cara!
Marcos De Ros Cara, adoro seus vídeos vc toca demais!!! Parabéns pelo seu trabalho, espero um dia tocar metade do q vc toca!

Also Gavin Harrison, just wow. Pineapple thief and now this. Stunning
I didn’t know anything about Nick Johnston until I stumbled across his Schecter signature guitar. Bought the guitar, and now I am a huge fan of him.
Probably the most beautiful instrumental song I've heard the last decade.
No words for this! When a guitarist is also a composer!
There is no such thing as perfection, but man does this come close!
I listen to this 3-5 times a day. Amazing sound! Great job sucking me in with your amazing talent Nick!
You can tell he's a great guitarist even though he doesnt shred a lot. Technique - 10. Music - 10. Strings - 6. Soul - 10.
Shred playing runs too fast to leave a mark in your soul!
Phenominal player! One of the most soulful guitar players in the modern era with the chops of legends. Hats off. His albums make me listen to the entire thing.
There is not a single word in this song, but I feel that it told me a complete story, a lot of emotions and the feeling it brings me is euphoria
This guy's pieces are mesmerizing. Absolutely in love.
