I did it...I have made a 1/2 ton of wings in the past few years and tried everything to get the skin crispy, and then you come along...well, guess what, my wings are crispy...thank you "HEY GRILL HEY", appreciate the video. So what I did was grilled them crispy over my vortex, then placed them on the side to finish up in 20 minutes and temped them and they were done!
I don’t like grilled wings but now I have to try them again. 😂 thanks!!! I think my problem was cooking the wings to long on the grill. I will try your way. Was it 425 or 450?
Hey Susie, Todd, I enjoy trying your cooks, I was looking through the shows for a roast duck with orange sauce, any chance of one coming up sometime, I think you would do a killer job. I'll try some of your rubs and sauce when my supply runs low, keep rolling the smoke.
The wings looked great. I've always cooked them indirect on the kettle either with the SnS or the Vortex. I'll have to try this method. Looks like you were using lump charcoal to keep the heat high. I just ran out, so briquettes will have to do. Keep up the good work.
I just shared this one on my Facebook page because you are one of my favorite content creators. It's mostly my family and I can no longer hide from them where I get all of my food ideas from. You deserve the credit. Great job on these!
Do you ever out your wings on a baking sheet and then in the fridge (uncovered) for an hour? It's a great way to get them dry and get crispy skin. Thanks for the video! 😁👍
A pellet smoker would most likely be indirect heat, so you could just bring them up to temp in that, but you'll sacrifice some of the crispness in the skin.
Nice and crispy just the way I like em - Nice job!
Hey Susie Hey, can these excellent wings be made on pellet grill? That's all I have. Thanks for all you do to teach us great BBQ/GRILLING!
Absolutely! Thank you!
@@Heygrillhey thank yo so much again. I'm on it!

I can’t believe you didn’t brine them. Makes for a much more juicy wing as you know. I won’t hold it against you. Still a fan!!

When does Grill power come back on the tv?
Would you do these any different on the pellet smoker?
Todd: "Give me back sports please."
