Big thanks to Ciocca Subaru of Flemington for allowing me to take this vehicle out for a real world review. You can find their current inventory right here: www.cioccasuba...

    I never drove a crosstrex off road but i own a 06 impreza outback sport and it's fun off roading My 2012 Impreza 2.0i eats up gravel but can't do the off roading trails without beating it up

      Subarus are excellent in the mud and dirt. Most of our customers buy them for the affordability it gives them during the winter season, but this just proves it can hang with some of the big boys when it comes to off roading.

      I’ve seen that on driving sports, he does a objective great review, unlike the roller boys of TFL….. they mostly say Subaru can’t do anything! I’ll trust this brand practically over any other, Mazda would be my second choice. These are just a very versatile, reliable, safe, and can do offloading. Period!

    I've got one, love it. It's been on two 3000 mile road trips, and it goes anywhere off road I want to go. I recently had it in the dunes at Gordon's Well in California. It's a beast in the sand.

    Alright hold up…. I didn’t even finish watching the vid yet and I have to tell you, as a Taco/trd/off road owner for years…. Yes, I would absolutely consider the Subaru Crosstrek if I decided to go back to a car. A big if… yes… but if I went back to a car, it would probably be a Subie. Now I’m gonna finish watching this vid of which so far I like

      @@84meisaid I ordered my 24 in a manual but then jeep had the recall. So I wound up finding a rubicon in NC that fit the bill but it was an auto. I’ve been driving stick with one leg most of my driving life so it’s hard to go back. Now I have an older 2006 subaru STi and a 1988 Porsche 944 turbo. If I get an off roader again I’ll either do an older TJ jeep or even this crosstrek wilderness. But I’d spec out the wilderness to my liking.

    These are amazing! Subaru has the best AWD out there without breaking your bank account. First of all, safe, reliable, long, very long mileage it could go very high into the 300,000 mile range if you take care of it. Seen enough people with high mileage since 2012 into the 2016 models, yup…. sorry, Toyota fanboys and negative commenters, these are the ones that have CVYs……they pretty much can go anywhere you desire. No, they are not street racers, no, they are not high rock climbers. But at that point really who would want something like that unless it’s just a hobby VIVA SUBARU…….LITTLE MOUNTAIN GOATS🏆🏆🏆🏆💯💯💯💯

    Ok I just finished the video. I loved the vid, I love off roading. Now personally, I trust Subaru in regard to being able to hold their own. Would I take my Taco on the trails yes absolutely I have multiple times and will continue to do so, but I don’t think I would take a Subie out like I take my Taco… but it’s always nice to know that if I did go back to a car that the Subie can hold her own in a lot of places that others can not. Subaru was the only car that ever made it up our driveway when I was a kid so my love for Subaru will always be there.

    Should give you the option override and have all the wheels turn. Yeah yeah it's not a 4 wheel drive. Blah blah. But sometimes you may need it. With certain wheels spinning looking for the best grip can make it worse by digging you in deeper or tearing up what traction you may have.

    • @evanruggiero9371
      @evanruggiero9371  12 днів тому +1

      That would absolutely be a cool feature. I think for what it’s worth, the value of this car is great being you can have a super comfortable daily driver but also a weekend warrior for some light trails. With a lift kit and some beefier tires this car could probably tackle some more. With the smaller side wall the issue I had was not being able to air down anymore. Even at 29 psi I noticed when I was pressed up against a rock, I was dangerously close to making contact with the rim.

      @@evanruggiero9371 yep. That's why Subarus are so popular.
      Wife thought about getting a Crosstrek. She wanted something small and capable in snow and ice. We have a 2001 Yukon XL but she doesn't like driving such a large vehicle around town. Also it's not practical to use daily because of gas prices there days. We have other smaller cars but kids use them and they aren't all wheel drive.
      The Crosstrek trunk is pretty small and it would not serve our needs if we wanted to take it on a trip where it involved packing gear or shopping or if we had passengers in the back. The Outback would work better for my family.
      The Subarus don't have much space in their wheel wells to slap on a larger tire unless you lift it. Wife wanted ventilated seats, and the Crosstrek didn't but the Outback did, but you had to step up to the Touring Outback. I thought well if she got that, then maybe we can slap on larger aggressive tires to gain a little more ground clearance, traction and to be able to air them down. But nope. No room unless you lift it.😪
