This video is evidence that Hammond is American

@Kindaslow83 no wonder he keeps crashing 😂
Hammond. Just wanna say that your best car review ever was the Pagani Huayra, I watch it once a month.
She didn’t crash. That is generational improvement!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's mean...
LoL
😂😂🤣🤣
well, she's only half Hammond afterall! 😂
It's so cute when Richard sees his daughter enjoying the big turbo effect for the first time... great pride is visible in his eyes.
"uh oh" - He know's what he has done. I bet the wife is not impressed xD
@@delarid and by those two words, a new TopGear-personality was born. I, for one, is excited to see where this goes.
More important they like each other you can see. I wish I had such a relasionship with my dad.
@@Djuntas True. I know the feeling... I wish I had a dad, he passed when I was a youngling so I never got to grow up with one.
Great pride tinged with a little fear at what he's created LOL!!
The look of glee and terror on Hammond's face when Izzy opened up the throttle for the first time - he knows he might have just created a monster haha
For a 25 year old girl who grew up watching TG with her dad and now loves cars but doesn’t always understand them and worried to ask questions so she doesn’t look silly this is perfect!!! its like speaking to my dad is possibly the best car review I’ve ever seen! Please make more!
I’m reliving the weekends of watching this with my dad, too; such a special bond!
I guarantee you that if you ask questions, your dad and others will eagerly answer. They'll love talking about it.
Always ask questions! Being another car lover, and a man, we're simple creatures. We love talking about cars and how they work.
This isn't blithering about for the tube... This is a genuine father daughter experience that we get to be a part of ... I love these guys
This is brilliant👏🏻👏🏻
About as genuine as a Nafco54 shell suit.
Agree
She's both frustrated and excited at the same time, so... genuine father daughter experience :D
Agree! Fantastic video!!!
"They make foie gras by turbocharging a goose" just completely cracked me up
Indeed tears of laughter for me 😅🤣😂
And the pure horror on Izzy's face when she pictured that - best DT moment in my book 😂😂😂
yeah…and you should not eat it…or at least know what it means before you decide about eating it.
@@Siddichyeah, animal cruelty just like Bull fighting in Spain. Horrible outdated traditions
Izzys reaction when her dad said that, priceless.
Richard Hammond casually dropping gems for all the starting (and not only) content creators, massive respect.
Izzy's even got the phrases down perfectly "What could possibly go wrong?" / "Back to the studio!" 🤣 What a great video, the next generation of car reviewers in the making! 😃
Foie gras being a turbocharged goose is the best analogy Hammond's ever made😂
🤣
Her reaction was ADORABLE
Came here for this comment, that was an amazing analogy! 😂😂
Also "it fell out like a baby deer with rally lights on and just speed off"
Except for the part where he says they force feed them untill their liver explodes. Which is not what hap;pens. The liver will get larger and fattier but no one wants an exploded liver. By the way geese will gorge themselves naturally to prepare for migration. The force feeding just speeds up the process. Unlike humans geese have seperate tubes for breathing and eating so there is no choking issues.
You can tell Richard is a very proud dad, it's heartwarming.
Honestly one of the best car review I viewed in a long time. Great job Izzy. And great job Dad.
As a 32 yr old this makes me so nostalgic. I grew up watching top gear and seeing Hammond on UA-cam bonding with his daughter hits different
as a 33 year old, I attest.
Right? I'm 34 and watched top gear on military deployments. We were all so young.
I'm 25...But same.❤💯
Anddd back to the studio
As a 34 year old, this absolutely warms my soul. Bearing in mind, Izzy was a toddler when TG as we know it came around, I feel like this is a full circle moment and I’m absolutely here for it ❤❤
And it just hit me - I’m older than Richard was during the first series of TG 😅😅
i love how Izzy has all the hammond mannerisms lol, the frantic energy, panicked cries of "idk what im doing", and the little "AH" scream is classic hamster from early top gear!
I was just thinking this could be one of the few circumstances when a healthy dose of nepotism and a good leg up off her dad's influence would only work in everyone's favour. I hope she has media career in her.
This is adorable. Your daughters experience driving was entertaining , but the father daughter interaction , her reactions, especially to the turbo ... just do more videos with her
You can tell how much of a "hands off" Dad Hammond is - he trusts her and just lets her do her thing. That's beautiful to see!
*How is nobody mentioning how perfect Izzy's Top Gear intro song was?*
I heard the "tonight..." in my head lol
Made me think of the one episode where James played it on a keyboard for some reason.
@@wteff8586 that was LITERALLY what I was waiting for her to do "Tonight: Izzy in rally car history, Jeremy fries a tire and James misses the train"
What minute was that on?
@@ManuelDornbuschI heard this in Jeremy’s voice 😂
When she realised her dad turned into James May while explaining the car to her.. 😂
And she turned into Jeremy Clarkson at the start of her review! haha
@@Soniq_YTand at the end of the “back to the studio” 😂
@@FFchick957 Haha yeah!.. But if she had of prolonged the pause between "There's a Rainbow" and "I'm in a Subaru" its was prime Clarkson!
I saw that and the first thing that went into my head is that 'Does this mean James May is looking at Hammond and Clarkson as his children he needs to educate?'
😂😂😂😂
13:03 this bit until 14:25 is actually really wholesome 🥰
this warms my heart you and your daughter get to share your love of cars and media together. keep being awesome Richard and Izzy!
Her making top gear intro.... Oh. You got to love it.
that was one I didn't see coming. So funny! And toe curling for Hammond...
I loved it.
Indeed, I love that, lol
She must‘ve seen it when she wasn‘t interested. Top Gear was history, when - according to Hammond - she got interested in car stuff 2 years ago.
Maybe she's just a fan of the Allman Brothers
Tbf, Izzy reacted how most of us would if we suddenly got in a car that had 5x the horsepower we were used to.
The director's cut was pretty fun to watch.
Had the same reaction when I transitioned from the motorbike I learnt on to my own, about 3x the power, suddenly you just get launched across the continent. Absolute bonkers fun.
As soon as i installed my first light weigh flywheel i learned racecars aren't for the streets.
They are so gutless off boost, 30 to 60 in top gear can be timed with a calendar, then the boost starts coming in and you are awaaaaaay 😲 Didn't have mine for long but all the miles were all smiles. Mind you a trip to the south of France in it was a bit of a pain - in the back with suspension so hard it was like driving a roller skate.
About 1.6 times the amount of power of my car… although a lot lighter with more racing performance kit on it so it would be ‘lively’ but I reckon I’d be fine
Her singing the old TG theme and his beaming reaction was so pure.
Tonight,

First time one actually wants to watch the kids of someone one really enjoys watching. She’s fantastic and that on her own! What a relief. Honestly. She’s funny, witty, hilarious. A Hammond. But: less of an idiot. Great video!
I absolutely love Izzy and Richard! More! More! More!
They are great. Her impression of Richard was spot on!
They need a second channel just for the two!
Aww, as a father.. this almost made my cry. I've always been a big fan of Richard! What a joy to watch.
Same! Can't believe I'll be teaching my son how to drive soon. Time sure flies.
Put down your phone and throw them in the car! Go find an empty lot and show them how to donut
Dude 🎉we all are there if you have kids or not!!!🎉 😂😂😂she loves Martin in nostalgia but not in performance =)
Loving watching Izzy's journey as a dad it's fantastic watching your kids journey especially if they out of the blue show interest in your passion ❤.
First time I saw his daughter! She's such a blast and I love how Hammond is teaching her to be a reviewer! I look forward to her being a super star like her dad!!!
Really nice to se Izzy taking her dad's footsteps at car journalism
Let's hope she doesn't crash quite as much
Journalism???? 😅
Izzy looks so much like her grand mother
She's doing it in tiny, short steps, which is well suited to dad😊
You're joking?
@6:21, when dad realizes he just may have created a monster and is ever so slightly concerned. 😂
Excited, proud, and slightly concerned as he realizes what he has just done.
this is the exact comment I was looking for 😂
Proud
Also pride
“uh oh, UH OH” so many thoughts through his head at that moment 😂
This is the most wholesome video I've seen in such a long time! Love it!!!
This is probably why I love Richard Hammond so much. His analogies of cars are so vivid. Beautiful
Izzy is taking over the Richard Hammond legacy and I am here for it. She is brilliant & delightful!
Let's hope she has a better accident record than her pop
And alot better looking than what Richard is

i don't usually comment on stuff on youtube, but the way Richard and Izzy interact is so natural. It's a great father/daughter relationship. I think more of this, with the both of them, would be a great further watch.

Aww, Richard's reaction when his daughter experienced the turbo for the first time was adorable. Great father daughter relationship :)
Initial joy and then realisation of the unintended consequences.
They only do it for the money.
"It's amazing"
"Isn't it"

It's lovely to see this! I Top gear and those 3 goofs (legends) have been a fun part of my life! Hammond and Izzy together totally spark that! Super cute to see that moment when the Turbos blow hard, their relationship is fantastic!
This is the exact WRX on my bucketlist. One day maybe. Not the newer ones, this exact model. Also we all know Hammond loved his daughter's review! She was great, and so sweet to see their father daughter interaction.
Richard Hammond zipping up the coat for his daughter is the most fatherly thing I've seen. Heart-warming! "I feel like I'm six!" LOL!
I like how not in a single top gear episode would you ever have heard "Where's the controls for the windscreen wiper" (at least I don't think so).
This is great!
i think the closest we ever got to that was May trying to change the clock on the dash...
Actually, we heard it on Top Gear, MAAAAAAANY years ago, when the guys' mothers, each of them, reviewed a car with their sons.
I'd say that this thing that Richard is doing with Izzy is somewhat of a legacy to those moments 😁.

The father daughter dynamic was so adorable, especially when he was zipping up her coat.
The review was so nice, and did remind me of Richard. I feel like she'll be an excellent successor to her dad some day, maybe even gather a couple of friends and have her own show.
YES this is exactly what the world needs!! Once Grand Tour wraps up for good, it’d be great to see a similar thing from (literally) the next generation
Season 6 of the grand tour starrring Izzy!!
Izzy Hammond. A star in the making? You should do more of these Father/Daughter car reviews. This was great. Keep it up. 👍🏼👍🏼
Izzy singing the Top Gear theme, and watching Richards face as he accepts she's mocking almost his entire working life .... was a funny moment. Sweet family Video, Love you and your teams work.
Wow…she killed it! As a car guy, it’s kind of refreshing to hear a review from the perspective of someone who isn’t a car expert. She’s just experiencing the drive and everything that goes with it….and as a father, I just love everything about this video. I love the dynamic between Richard and Izzy. More please!
Izzy is channelling a female car reviewer named Juliet Maguire from South Africa.
This is so great it's like watching Gordon with his daughters, teaching them his skills. I love watching this father, daughter banter. Izzy is a natural born reviewer she just needs to do her homework 😄.
Well done Izzy!! Fantastic Watch..... growing up watching top gear/grand tour. This made for very interesting viewing. Loved it!
This really puts a smile on my face to see Hammond's daughter doing her first car review, great video.
I love the bit where Izzy first experiences the boost, her face lights up and her beaming smile.
It's like opening Pandora's box, and Hammond knew at that point what he had done and what she had experienced.
I knew a girl named Pandora… couldn’t say I ever got to see her box though
Shame....did she charge too much?@@coopersvvc
If you know a little bit, how Izzy was the years before, how she thoughts about Richards work and passion for cars, then it must be one of the proudest moments of Richards dadlife. As a dad i enjoyed that moment when the turboboost get's in and you saw that sparkling in Izzy's eyes and the pure proud in Richards face. Very, very lovely. I was hoping for so long, that you Richard will one day get that kind of support from your familiy that you deserve. Mission startet. Part 1 accomplished. Well done Izzy, well done Richard.
Hopefully she has a better track record with keeping the cars on the road than Richard
Oh my, I'll admit the thought crossed my mind too 😮😮😅
"that sparkle in the eye, followed by "oh no, oh no" that wasnt pride, that was fear... that was a realisation, that the addiction is genetic.. and as every crash he's ever had rushed through his mind (it took him a few minutes, since there have been so many of them), he knew, he'd just made a HUGE mistake.
Well said👏🏻👏🏻
@@UaintaSpider just that Izzy isnt Richard :-) She will not overestimate her abilities like Richard does so often. To be clear, there are not a lot of drivers out there, testing so many cars and still not accepting their own limits. So i have no doubts about Izzy not crashing like her dad.
as someone who fits into the same category as izzy - only realising what i've missed out with in the car world in the last year or so - its so refreshing to see this kind of content, where someone who's fairly new is still getting treated with respect and not belittled because of it. i'm always worried to bring car stuff up in conversation incase i come across as an idiot in other people's eyes, when all i want to do is learn
I straight up loved her review, that was heart-warming!
5:50 ... you sold me on watching Izzy. These other 3 likable chaps I enjoy watching while they talk about cars just don't always convey the enthusiasm of youth for the simple things. Don't get me wrong, I love 'em and always will... but Izzy, your reactions are priceless. You do bring that reaction out in your dad and live to see him living this youth again through you and sharing your experiences. Oh the joy, I love it, keep going young lady!
Watching the confidence of Her presenting and making Richard genuinely laugh with Her Top Gear intro and her impression of Hammand' stutter delivery was brilliant too.
Nice to see Rich's brain having almost no delays in searching for words and descriptions. Really enjoyable.

Her impersonation of her father was the best part.
This was awesome, She seems like an absolute gem. Love the dynamic between them.

Well dang. I wish I had seen your comment before I wrote mine. Now it is going to look like I stolen your word. Either that or you have seen other comments of mine and used it here. :P
We all love Richard, but lets be honest, it’s the Izzy show when she’s in an episode! 👌
Love your videos mate
Got to say I enjoy the these vids. As a dad with a 5yo daughter, who is now starting to recognise all different cars, I love going out for a burn with her in the back seat. I have recently bought a hobby car Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 (busso yes) and its now a rule that we MUST go in the Alfa if we're going anywhere together and in turn she gets to choose the radio. It's manual with a new exhaust and sounds epic. My daily BMW 335i sedan, which is over 400hp now, doesn't cut for her anymore 😂😂😂 We're going to have years of fun ahead with all sorts of cars and I can't wait.
This put a big smile on my face. Hopefully I will live long enough to bring along my daughter on my journey. She's now 3months old.
This is actually a genius idea...someone who's not really deeply involved in the automotive world doing automotive reviews for the people who also aren't really deeply involved in the automotive world, a chance to gain knowledge and grow with Izzy.
That was kind of Top Gears whole thing, it was the biggest show in the world for a while and most viewer's were not car people, it was a really odd concept really, but it worked.
This is the most wholesome thing I've ever watched. I'm legit jealous of their relationship and I wish them all the best. Love this.
This is Brilliant! Izzy did a great review, but the outtakes were definitely Dad's revenge. Loved the whole episode
I love seeing Hammond being such an amazing dad just in the smallest ways. I loved watching him back in the Top Gear days!
Great to see these two interact like this.
My 17-year old son has always been a bit of an extreme speed fanatic - mountain bikes, drift trikes, bmx, dirt bikes, and now cars for the last 18 months.
He asked if I’d go out with him the other night and I agreed if he drove sensibly! We live semi-rural and drove around some roads and gravel tracks.
His knowledge of the car, how it handles the road, the lines he takes, that “I’m at one with it when we drive, I feel it. It drove me when I learnt and now I can drive it” blew my mind. His ability to drift and donut in control is something I’ve never even attempted as a 50+ year old.
I’m trying to get him into rallying because he’s a natural. Huge respect for his abilities beyond mine.
