Great use of effects, good fun playing,
As usual your playing is not only demonstrative for the video topic but is just plain fun to hear.. I was vacuuming and that first riff started - resulting in a mrs doubtfire strut in my step. I loved the lift-off descending approach where most funky licks are more hammer-on driven.. it was cool you flipped that around a bit.
You can hear the frusciante love in your creativity. As always great intonation even when going for warbly sounds, just amazing.
Very helpful, thanks.
Very nice playing! subscribed
Great video mate!
Cheers for another great video Jason, you burnt the midnight oil on this one. Take care and thanks again.
Excellent !
Cheers
cool video brother
Holy Phuck!! The stereo width you got on the last track is insane. Rewinding
Double tracked. OD on one side, chorus on the other 😉
Great choices Jason...love the Vernon Reid early on here. 😎
As much as I love the JF tone and therefore chorus, I'd try for more of an Ernie Isley sound, so would replace PX 65 with a phase shifter. I assume neither of the od's will get his fuzzy tone, so may need to replace the tubescreamer with a muff style pedal. Just my preference if the board was that size.
Cheers. 🎸🎸🎸
That piece you played over where you introduced the JHS Morning Glory was absolutely mighty! Whether or not that's an existing song or a work in progress, it's an absolute keeper. The all-in music at the very end was totally epic as well. Fantastic stuff!
Thanks, that one is a work in progress.
That one was my favorite as well. I have no clue how to play funk so it's nice watching someone play who actually can :-D
Tasteful playing. Release your music my mate, those riffs sound great!
Cheers
I suggest trying a fuzz before your envelope and while you may have to make some compromises in how it's set for your dry signal vs the fuzz signal.. that challenge is offset by how much it sounds like you're playing the fuzz into a wah pedal. If you're able to control the sustain and dynamics really well, it's like having a much more aggressive and nasally envelope sound but with a compressor after that like you already use... it would be awesome.
I've always done a fuzz into envelope and grown to appreciate it over the years but it has to be used sparingly. Anyway.. that's something fun you should try I hope it works out
What happened to part 2 of the boss pedals!! ? I was hanging for that J man!! Aaargh! 😊
It's coming. I have the pedals, I just don't want all my content to be about Boss
@@JasonAyalaSpare hang on! Now that's an idea! Boss pedals, then Ibanez, mxr.....all the old classics with their old chips .....sounds like heaven to me!
Are you a John Otto fan?
Yes, fantastic drumer
