Thank you for mentioning that Cardigans record. My favorite amazing one-hit record is Harvey Danger's "Where Have All The Merrymakers Gone," though a lot of 90s powerpop/alternative bands had awesome records that suffered the same fate (Nada Surf).
Funny, I was going to pop in and mention the second Harvey Danger album, King James Version, which I think is a) brilliant and b) mostly unheard and unappreciated.
Sponge - Rotting Piñata. Really cool album.
I had a big green Russian small stone when I was a kid. Loved that thing! I wish I still had it.
Is your amp based on any particular amp? I know a lot of pedals can sound way different depending on the amp.
It's a Fender Bassman circuit
wow !!!!
Favorite one knob pedal - Electro Harmonix Small Clone chorus.
Favorite one hit wonder album- New Radicals - Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too.
They had the song “You get what you give” but the singer also produced and wrote songs for many bigger artists like Santana, Michelle Branch, and others.
Also Josh, Im gonna need one of those hand builts stat ;)
Dude, you’ve just got this thing RIGHT!!! last week the hidden treasures of Behringer, this week you give props to my always-on favourite pedal, the SDPB. What great punishment this will give a tube amp deserves more credit, and higher sales. 10/10. Again.
I would buy a handwired rangemaster along with one of those amps :p
Thanks!
one more for the jhs milkman!
I have always been weary of one knob pedals, but you showed and demoed some really great stuff! Thanks for the info and have a great day. Feel better brother!
Uh yeah! Handwired by you?! That’s a YES!!!
I only have one one knob pedal: TC Electronic Rush booster pedal. It’s a nice clean booster pedal. It pushes my Marshall Origin enough to make it overdrive in my apartment without upsetting the neighbors and keeping my tone faithful to where I have my clean tone at.
record time: Elastica's s/t 1995 album
So frustrating this isn't on Spotify!
titus chalk boooo to that!
See That Animal is just so, so perfect. That whole album has really cool uncommon song structures and shorter lengths that give it rare energy.
titus chalk it is on Spotify
Just picked up a Whirlwind Orange Phaser one knob wonder and love it!
Dat Beano Boost tho.
yeah, I'd have a listen and maybe buy a JHS Treble Booster... so long as its not 80 million dolars like analog man.
It will be don't worry
Oh yeah, the Beano was balls to the walls awesome!
Came here to say this. That pedal really stood out to me.
The guitar playing with the clean boost gave me great post hardcore/math rock vibes
