How long can leftover brisket be kept? I've been freezing my leftover brisket by slicing it and putting it into Ziploc bags, then freezing. I will sometimes just fry it in a pan with butter and eggs for breakfast. Love the smell of smoked brisket in the kitchen
Well, I"m a guy....but I've had it for more than a couple weeks in a ziplock baggie in the fridge and never had problems with it. If it isn't slimy, smelling bad, fuzzy or blue....to me, it's good to go and never myself or others have gotten sick on it. I eat sandwiches and rollups (low carb tortillas) for most of it, and then throw the rest in chili.....
@@Lettuce-and-Tomatoes to try to avoid freezer burn I place meat on top shelf of freezer so it's not directly touching the walls of the freezer when it goes through a defrost cycle
💯 vacuum seal, freezer, then when time to eat 6,12,more? months down the road let the bag sit in some hot water on the stove barely boiling… 20 minutes later instant bbq!!
Oh yeah, too much of the best brisket in America? I'll casually make a remoulade, some dashi, my spare homemade miso, then put out some hand rolled empanadas on the side. Easy weeknight meal haha. It looks amazing and can't wait to try some.
I get real creative with these, stir fry, tacos, sandwiches, chili, salads. Love having brisket in the fridge
This is a fun idea.
