Imagine being older, your parents are no longer here, you go back to the house you lived your childhood, and start remembering all those good and bad moments, but you know you miss them so much all those good memories are stronger, you know they loved you even if there were rough moments, you wish you could hold and hug them one more time... now if they are still alive, appreciate them and go give them that hug, tell them you love them, they will leave sometime
What if you had abusive parents that took advantage of your guilt when you felt bad for standing up for yourself? Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over?
I really like the imagery in this video. Obviously, the guy is revisiting his now empty childhood home while the songs laments about being "stuck in a radio tower with not a lot of time". I like these parts where the man in the present is shown in a grainy VCR effect, kinda like how revisiting will too become part of his memory. Then you have these shots with the red lights and the darkened silhouette, which is probably the man's desire to stay there forever, like a ghost. It's creepy and sad at the same time. The keychain, the candle, the book.... It's not hard to say this video means a lot to Black Marble.
Love the vibes off this song, great 80's elements in there. 1:54 "Well I'm stuck in a radio tower, waiting for a summer that I'll never see." That line really stays with me, pure inner sadness.
I wish there’s someone I could see Cause I’m the one who’s needy, journeying away I used to have a radio show With not a lot of time though I wish I could tell where you’re from Cause I know how to read someone I used to have a radio show With not a lot of time though See things the way they could be Waiting on the sunlight to shake free Well, I’m stuck in a radio tower Waiting for the summer that I’ll never see Give me the lights Show me the crowd I’m stuck on a merry-go-round I’m nothing to live up to You know I wasn’t all the time I’m nothing to live up to You know I wasn’t all the time I wish there’s someone I could see Cause I’m the one who’s needy, turning away I used to have a radio show But not a lot of time though I think I can tell where you’re from Cause I know how to read someone I used to have a radio show But not a lot of time though See things the way they will be Working at the blood drive in D.C Well, I’m stuck in a radio tower Waiting for the summer that I’ll never see Give me the sights Stories and sounds I’m stuck on a merry go round I’m nothing to live up to You know I wasn’t all the time I’m nothing to live up to You know I wasn’t all the time I’m nothing to live up to You know I wasn’t all the time
One of those powerful songs backed by video clips that can instantly change my whole mood no matter what I was doing before. I mean, I just heard this song 20 minutes ago when I showed it to my son, and I discovered it a few hours ago at work but taking it all in at once... great job. New on my list of all time favorite songs.
Not sure what's happening in the comment section here....but anyway..back to your regularly scheduled program..Great Song! Can't wait for my Vinyl to come In the mail. All Hail, Black Marble.
i think its okay to let go and cry a bit to something beautiful as this! i love brave vulnerability, sadness in music that evolves into something that makes you think to yourself "well, while feeling these emotions and hurting so, im alive and im happy for being able to love" and i know this sounds ULTRA cheesy and stupid, but this is just....
madrugada esse escuro de carne e ossos a varanda berra para o céu que é todo vácuo lá fora a pandemia no passado o infinito e eu sempre tempo e lugar escuto black marble e procuro ovnis e esperança
"No matter how vivid a memory, we must all keep moving forward."
Dude, thanks for the push Black Marble.
Trace Hall what song is that??

Came back to say I miss you, Chris. I can't think of you so softly anymore but know I love you.

Always wanted something like that
😭😭❤️❤️❤️🙏
"Imagine being older, your parents are no longer here" :(
I recently lived this video, my parents are no longer alive. I had to sort out the house, it felt like every wall could tell a story.
What if you had abusive parents that took advantage of your guilt when you felt bad for standing up for yourself? Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over?

This is one of the best songs I've ever heard, hands down. On repeat since yesterday.
This song gets better every time you listen to it btw
For some odd reason I didn't like this song as much before and now I love it after watching this video.
Valid.

Can you explain that line and why he references a radio show ?
absolutely topending fire
🎹🔥🎹🔥🎹🔥
"I'm nothing to live up to , you know I wasn't all the time" 🎵🎶
The next single better have that sexy bass guitar in it
And reverb
Miss that bass like in Iron Lung
Best song ever, best musical artist ever!
I wish there’s someone I could see
Cause I’m the one who’s needy, journeying away
I used to have a radio show
With not a lot of time though
I wish I could tell where you’re from
Cause I know how to read someone
I used to have a radio show
With not a lot of time though
See things the way they could be
Waiting on the sunlight to shake free
Well, I’m stuck in a radio tower
Waiting for the summer that I’ll never see
Give me the lights
Show me the crowd
I’m stuck on a merry-go-round
I’m nothing to live up to
You know I wasn’t all the time
I’m nothing to live up to
You know I wasn’t all the time
I wish there’s someone I could see
Cause I’m the one who’s needy, turning away
I used to have a radio show
But not a lot of time though
I think I can tell where you’re from
Cause I know how to read someone
I used to have a radio show
But not a lot of time though
See things the way they will be
Working at the blood drive in D.C
Well, I’m stuck in a radio tower
Waiting for the summer that I’ll never see
Give me the sights
Stories and sounds
I’m stuck on a merry go round
I’m nothing to live up to
You know I wasn’t all the time
I’m nothing to live up to
You know I wasn’t all the time
I’m nothing to live up to
You know I wasn’t all the time
Yow thanks buddy

Sergej Lovrekovic not stupid at all. I cried with my first listen too. Something that hasn’t happened for a very long time.
