Stunning looking car Dan. I’m new to the Hyundai N brand having had Honda civics for the last 25 yrs. I’ve just purchased a new i20 N and I’m blown away with it. It’s the only car I’ve ever purchased without test driving one or even seeing one in the wild I bought it in the strength of all the reviews and so glad I took the gamble. Loving your channel
Sounds epic! The only thing that really goes against my OCD is the slight upward tilt on the tailpipes which screamed rain water collectors

Definitely sounds better, a really good tone Dan. Spot on. Personally not a fan of the tips but that's personal choice. The GPF on my i20N only robs 1-2 bhp so isn't as bad as you think for power robbing, GPF is mainly a sound killer.
We have many different tips available!
I want to delete the GPF on my I20N but don't want warranty issues. Really wakes the sound up though which is a shame
@@ashcosmo3854 you can change the gpf yourself pretty easily! when it goes back in for a service or mot put it on and then change it back

I haven’t, you wouldn’t believe it that it’s actually plastic beading from AliExpress. Cost about £1.50 for 5 meters 😂

Unfortunately Mitch, I’ve had to let the car go. With the UK economy the way it’s going, it was my largest luxury asset and made sense to let the car go than cut back else where.
I'd love to get this exact same exhaust set up on my N 😍 please tell me RPM will keep making the custom back box and they ship to Australia 😂

In stock form these really aren’t a strong 0-60 or straight line car. Far better suited to a track.

Hi buddy, unfortunately my hand was forced to sell because of the current climate in the UK. Something that I really didn’t want to do, but as my largest value asset which is classed as a luxury, it was the first thing to go. I’ve moved to a Mk3 Megane Trophy which is already tastefully modded, but will be adding to it myself for sure.

It was as I was going into N custom and I had traction control completely off in that mode. It was warnings to notify my the traction was completely off

I know very little about car exhaust systems and therefore this question: the pops and bangs, what are they, and where are they produced? being a motorcyclist i know that unburnt fuel in the exhaust system can cause a backfire/pop on the bike at decel. But the i30N is supposed to pop :D Hopefully someone can enlighten me.
Love the sound and the car btw. i will get one some day.

A deliberate retarding of exhaust valve closure + additional fuel injected into the cylinder...which makes its way into the exhaust = snap crackle pop :) and also maintains pressure = helps keep turbo spooled up.

Aahhh it’s nothing to worry about. It was just the lubricant burning off from the fresh metal of the exhaust. Quick drive up the road and it was gone.

Dan Bushell : though I love these Hyundai N cars....they are literally beating VW Golf and Audi A3 on all fronts....you should hear the sound a custom exhaust system gave the Honda Civic 1.8 VTi from the year 1998. That was a true Fast And Furious like car that gave you racing genes every time you sat in it and drove it. Todays Inline4 engines due to exhaust regulations are much much dampened and cannot produce truly aggressive sounds.
That's why you mod them. My N doesn't even have a cat and sounds like a demon from hell...way louder than Dan's.
