Nice video. I’m from the UK and my i30N came standard with electric seats with memory in the front. Not sure if it is a region thing? Can’t agree more on the fuel statement. It ‘can’ be efficient, but I put it in ‘N’ custom the second I get in and wring it’s neck.
I’ve had this car in various forms, since March 2018. Both the manual and the facelift DCT. Pros - it’s different and a head turner. The sound form the exhaust is infectious. It’s pretty quick. Not amazingly so, but quick enough. At normal and high speeds, the DCT gearbox is lovely. Cons - the fuel consumption is worse than my current A45 AMG. It’s horrific. The cabin quality is poor. The DCT version has too many creaks in it and a jerky drive at low speed. It just doesn’t know how to handle slow moving traffic. It’s not cheap now either. But then nothing is I suppose. I’m glad I experienced the I30N but I feels it’s a little dated now.

That’s true. However it is easily the worst in the sector. Easily. And when a hyper hatch such as a Golf R or A45/RS3 is getting better fuel economy than the I30N, then you know they’ve done something wrong.
I really want to like this car, but the fake motor sound on loudspeakers , the fake pops and bangs, the bad infotainment sound quality and the impossiblity to change configuration on buying (I don't want the backets nor the heating wheel or seat but want open roof, for example), and the less tight price, is making me away of buying this.
The car is is still one of the cheapest of it’s category. 39k with the DCT (obviously new). The sound system is average, the interior quality is not so good. The fuel consumption in city traffic is terrible. The engine sound is not fake, it’s one of the best aspects of the car one of the best stock engine sounds! Most modern hot hatch sound like vacuum cleaners. The fun the car gives you is at high levels, chassis, brakes, steering. Yeah the fact that in Italy you cannot configure the car as you want really sucks… anyways the car is not on sale anymore in Italy( you cannot order it).

Real world, you’ll struggle to get north of 20mpg. With ANY type of combined driving.
so you buy a more expensive car to save money the service and parts for these cars are more expensive then the I30 N So were is the savings,

Not too fast. Within speed limits being a public road
It's a great car, but the worst thing is the insane fuel usage ... more than Golf R, Type R, AMG, BMW hot hatches, crazy.
8l/100km isnt that bad i have a diesel b220 4matic and its 6,5-7l
L / 100kms is 11.7 before the car measuring unit was set to Km per L

You will never get the claimed comined usage. I get 10-13L/100KM with mixed usage. On a track day, I wouldn't be shocked to see high teens..

The sounds aren't fake but ok. I agree the stock sound system is bad though, sounds worse than my old Nissan.
