I just want to thank you Melissa. I'm a returning adult student and never taken any chemistry. Our professor just talks on an advanced level he doesn't understand that we need it broken down on a simpler level. You are gifted, thank you for getting me through chemistry. If there are a recent spikes in subscribing to your channel it's cause I'm telling everyone in class how amazing your videos are 😜
Your videos got me through chem last year with an overall average of 100%! Your method of teaching is incredible, please never stop making videos! Let's see what I finish with this year :) lol
This woman is on track to make lots of money. Very well made videos and notes. You will definitely see a return on your investment Melissa. Most likely when you get more subscribers you will see more people purchasing your products online. Good luck and thanks for the time and effort.
Just bought the thermochemistry book of yours. I must say it helped me so much!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have made chemistry a lot easier to understand
I just want to thank you sooooo much. I have a thermochem test tomorrow, and I had no idea how to do the stoichiometry for the Delta H! Your video literally saved my life! (and hopefully my grade lmao)
Hi question, just wondering how you figured out where to but the mols when dividing everything. I understand everything else, it just that bit is stumping me. Thank you so much :D
what about when theres an excess?? For example my question is "Calculate how much energy is changed when 16 g of O2(g) reacts with excess ClF3(g)". How do I work in the excess amount? plz answer
can i say that i love you? You compared to other youtubers explains like i was in kindergarden, which is what you sometimes need when the basics are not clear :)
Hello Melissa. I’m a candidate for the IMAT exam and I really enjoy and learn so much from your videos. How can I have all the courses and papers and notes ?
Hi, why didn't you change the -1204kj into positive when it was above the 2 moles. I only ask this because I've seen other chemistry videos and they reverse the sign in the stoichiometry process
How many kilojoules are given off when 17.8 mol of CH4(g) react? CH4(g) + 2O2(g) → CO2(g) + 2H2O(ℓ) ΔH = −890.1 kJ please this solve because I don't understand help me
Thanks for the help! this video actually helped with some of the problems. However, I still can't figure out which conversion factor to use if the given information is volume of methane gas at a certain preassure in Torr and a certain temperature in degrees celcius.
Hey Shuat, so we never multiply the subscripts and the coefficient for balancing. The magnesium is the only one that has that 2 in front. I recommend reviewing some more balancing equations, I recommend these videos: Video 1: ua-cam.com/video/jy6F0Lbvjm8/v-deo.html Video 2: ua-cam.com/video/P0BSTjziVys/v-deo.html
Tbh, i could not understand a thing in the calculation [ sorry in advance, if that sounded rude] is it me, or do you assume we know everything and you start us off with that ?

Thank you so much Jennifer! I really appreciate your support 💕
Haha I told my class too! My professor was really receptive to it and asked me to write Melissa's name in the chat for everyone. (Virtual class)
I'm literally passing my chem class because of yours and tyler DeWitts videos!! Thank you!!
Perfect right in sync with my CHEM class!!! Thanks!
Yay!! I love perfect timing 😊

Love your method of teaching. Please make video on organic chemistry also.
What about when you are not given an enthalpy and are only given the temperature change and the mass of water?

Damn! You deserve wayyyyy more views.
Thank you!
When multiplying to get both the magnesium and the oxygen to balance out, wouldn't the oxygen change to 4 when you times it by 2?

i love youuuuu
💕Happy to help!
you so underrated
Do you have a version of this without the music? My class can't focus while the music is going.
