I love these videos. He seems like such a humble man. When he doesn't know what he's doing, he asks for help. When he gets something wrong, he owns up. One of the best chefs in the West and he's completely willing to admit that there are some things in cooking he just doesn't know shit about. So very genuine.

They can feast you you decently even if they might not have much to eat, especially if you go further to countryside. Look up how tall Dutch people were who grew up during the 1945 hunger winter where food was very scarce and people were starving. The people who grew up in that period grew to be a lot shorter than how Dutch people are now. In Vietnam it was even worse, and for a longer period of time.
